Universal Windows Direct Reviews 

This review gets 5 stars for my installers, not for my experience with universal windows direct. Let me give a little background…I had someone come and was impressed with the quality of the windows and excited about the free upgrade to triple pane windows. I signed up on the spot! Unfortunately I did not receive the upgrade. Customer service was absolutely nonexistent. I was promised one thing but in all the fine print on the contract it was not delivered. Even better (sarcasm is an underrated skill set) no one would even call me back! Despite this problem, Carlos and his team did a marvelous job installing the windows. The installation was the highlight of my experience. They were courteous and professional. It is a shame they are not also in charge of customer service… if they were I am sure that I would be satisfied with my entire experience.

Update: 4/16/24. I did finally receive a response from Uwd. They offered to give me a quote to repurchase the windows I just installed…. So read every last line item if any contract and make sure you get a copy immediately that clearly details what you are getting. At least Natasha had the good grace to apologize for the discrepancy between what I was promised and what I received. Still, caveat emptor!

Caleb did an outstanding job installing my windows. He was very professional and has an excellent work ethic. I highly recommend him if you want the job done right.
Jordan who teamed with Caleb was also an efficient worker. He was polite, got right to work and cleaned up well after completion.
Universal Windows Direct is lucky to have these 2 men working for their company.

Brandon came into our home and was very knowledgeable about his products. After a very thorough sales pitch we have decided to give our business to Universal Windows Direct. We are hoping the installation and longevity of the product are as good as Brandon was.

Second go round with Universal and pretty much a good experience. Installers did a fantastic job. They even answered some additional questions I had. The window order itself didn’t take long either. Only hiccup was this time around we did financing and the 1st payment was so before the windows ever came to the warehouse. That wasn’t disclosed and when I called they said it was standard. I contacted both the financing company and universal themselves. If it’s standard why not disclose that then?

Nate, Nate, and Parker did a wonderful job with the installation. Explained things along the way and answered any question I had. Did a great job with clean up both inside and out. I could not be happier with my new windows and the complete process. Those three are a great crew and great representative for Universal Windows Direct !!

Disliked that the organization who has been around for so long was unaware of permit and inspection requirements for Tega Cay. Even today after install when stated the inspector will be coming this week, still nonchalant and said permits were pulled. Inspection and permits coincide but are two different things.

well, what went wrong this time? The installation went fine this time. it was a second attempt due to failure on the measuring guy. you see he got it wrong and fortunately the installation team caught it after they had my home prepped ( drop clothes ). good catch, I say. sorrily, I hoped and expected a phone call from mgmt.- you know as a professional courtesy. a day or two later Carey- I think that's his name, called. basically he tried to apologize. I broached the subject of some sort of "compensation" for my troubles, I had to reschedule 2 doctor appointments, put my home back in order. he said he was open to the concept but it was premature at the time of our call but we could revisit it after. I accepted that. my windows were installed 03-14-2024 today is Friday 03-29-2024 and no call from Carey. I have a proposal I wanted to share with him. does he even exist? boy, oh boy, I am very disappointed this episode takes the luster off UWD family
U P D A T E: today is 05- 24 2024 and still not contact from universal window direct. I know that they have my email address and phone number.

Adrian and Victor & Victor were amazing and so kind. From install to clean up the job was very professional and much appreciated by my wife and I. Great crew !!

Sales rep Kelsey was great she listened to me about what I was wanting the windows to do, and worked with me on a price I was happy with. Installation day was a very quick and excellent well done job. Eduardo and his crew was great took time to explain how the windows worked and did a nice job all around. Waiting to see how the windows keep the hot west sun out this summer.

Ben Drake and his crew were amazing. Will definitely recommend Universal Windows and this crew to anyone I know needing windows. Great job.

The installers were on time and very business like. They kept me abreast of what needed to be done and how long it would take them. They left nothing to cleanup behind them. Very satisfied with the job they did.

Excellent job! Crew showed up and promptly got to work. I'm very happy with the new roof. It definitely helps the curb appeal if the house. Even the small touches like painting the flashing and sweeping the area for loose nails. Very happy!

We started the process ( 12 windows and 1 outside door) in April 2023. It was not completed until March 2024. 10-1/2 months. Unsatisfactory to us. The guy that sold this to us didn’t follow through with something and delayed the order about 2 weeks. The next guy that came to remeasure was filthy dirty. Our product came in in August or September and the windows were installed in September, but the door was 2 inches off one way or the other. They placed a new order for the door and put a RUSH on it. After changing the ETA for the new door 4-5 times, it finally came in 5 months later. Again, very UNSATISFACTORY to us since we went through most of the winter months with our old windows, The installers did fine, but I would never refer Universal Windows to anyone.

Thank you for the pleasant installation experience. The installer’s came right on time and they were very polite and professional. They got the job done in a matter of a few hours and the lead installer explained how to operate the windows when the job was completed. I will use Universal Windows Direct in the future.

Very happy with the installation of our new windows! Crew leader Marvin did an awesome job along with Nate! Very professional, friendly, respectful, they did an awesome job! They arrived right on time also and even gave a courtesy call beforehand to say they will soon be there! Very happy with Universal Windows and will recommend to friends and relatives! Top notch service!

Greg sr was the best. Neat courteous a pleasure to talk to. Workmanship was excellent.

Installers were friendly and efficient got here an did the job quick. Overall everything was good except between the salesman and the financial company..signed papers on a low payment but when we got the statement from the lender it was a higher payment.

You are liars, after two years you come to show your face that they are going to send me to collection what value if you never did the work on my house those in order to tell me that they came to ruin the windows and cause damage to my property for Those 3 windows that they changed are small, they are not like the ones they promised me, I got bored of calling him. more than a year and a half and they never answered me. I left a message and they never returned my calls. You are a company that does not fulfill what they promise to their clients. I have been reviewing many bad comments on Google about that company, the same thing they did to my friend. I miss other people. Google's bad reputation, if you take me to collection, I'll sue them for property damage and take away the 3 windows and don't put the correct windows in that they promised me, ok
