Do not use United Pro Van Lines!!! It is a complete scam set up. They will quote you a number and then the mover will load over half your stuff and then say due to space it will be xx higher amount by thousands. I actually had significantly less furniture items than what was originally quoted. Once they have your stuff they have you cornered. Again do not use this company…absolutely horrible experience.
Run! Do NOT use them! Just getting the insurance claim. Huge Joke!
This was the worst, most expensive mistake of my life.
Hired them to move my daughter's furniture from ATL to Louisville. The price quoted was enflamed when the movers got here. The moving guys demanded a huge tip or they wouldn't work, then the furniture was held hostage for 21 days. 1/2 delivered and ruined, second 1/2 comes and is totally smashed and pieces missing. They demand cash upon delivery or they won't open the back of the truck. When we see everything is ruined, they say, "Don't worry, we insured it for you." It's insured alright, 60 cents per pound, per item. They ruined $5200 of my daughters things and we're only getting $185 for the claim. Huge disaster!!!
This place is a rip off do NOT use…
This place is a rip off do NOT use them. I got quote to move 22 items 74 pieces they took 5 and said they were full. Charged 250 more for safe of which I gave them the dimensions . When they finally got to new place didn’t put the bed back together and when the couldn’t get a dresser up stairs because they only sent one person on both ends. We took railing down they jumped in truck and left. The place is a scam and will upsell everything. They wouldn’t take mirrors or glass unless we paid extra for them to wrap. One mover which was day labor cussed us out. This is a warning. Do NOT use
Do not use United Pro Van Lines out of Ft Lauderdale …
Do not use this company united van lines, only contracts this out and the people they contract to are very inexperienced. They will break and lose your stuff and you are just stuck with it. They will say that you’re still up and then not show up for delivery and they say that that’s OK because it’s logistics with the carrier that they decide to give you. WORSE move ever and you will be sorry if you use this company and the way do business.
****I have been advised to file a claim through small claims court. ***
Do NOT use this company. You WILL be sorry

IM BEGGING YOU NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY
IM BEGGING YOU NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY! If you dont want to read my story then let me give you the short and skinny: they have SEVERAL claims against them through the BBB for a variety of reasons including but not limited to not processing refunds and holding customers goods hostage. They are not the actual moving company (they are just the brokers which means they are hands off of the actual move and will have nothing to do with it once the movers are at your door) and they take advantage of honest, hard working people.
My problem with them:
I just graduated nursing school and had received a job offer that would require a move from Oregon to Texas. We found United Pro Van Lines LLC, WHO BTW IS NOT THE ACTUAL MOVING COMPANY! THEY ARE A BROKER! The initial customer contact agent (Ryan Birch) was personable and friendly, but also pushy about securing our moving date "at the lowest rate possible". They used every tactic: "my manager is giving you a discount", "there's only one truck going from Oregon to Texas on that date for this price", etc. Their policy requires they take a deposit on the phone to secure the move, then the rest of the balance is paid half at pickup and half at drop off. They have a 24hr refund policy if you cancel within the first 24 hours. After that, it's a credit for a future move. We (being young, naive, and excited about the move) paid a deposit of approximately $1100. In addition to the contract you sign, they also make you sign something saying that you won't file a charge back on the card you used. At first, Ryan explained that it was because they will get through the whole moving process and then people scam United pro Van Lines out of their hard earned money. In reality, it's because they're going to scam you and don't want you to be able to take any action to file a charge back. Anyways, I got another job offer that afternoon which we decided to take which would keep us in Oregon and therefore we no longer needed their services. We canceled first thing the next morning (well within the 24 hours) and this is when the SCAM really takes effect. They sent us a document saying we would receive our refund in 14 business days. So we waited and when the refund never came, we called their "customer service" and spoke to Kay. She said she would reach out to billing about it but that it can usually take 14-20days. Okay... so we waited until 20 business days had passed and again NO REFUND. We called them again and spoke to Kay. She said that refunds are processed on Fridays which was still 2 days away. So again, we waited and again, NO REFUND. They don't allow you to record phone calls with them so we decided to send an email that was only met with their customer service manager Judith Jones stating that she was terribly sorry and this NEVER happens and is not how they conduct business. She expected our refund to be returned to us within the week. It wasn't. We call Judith again and she let's us know there is some sort of issue with the billing department but that it has been resolved and we will receive our refund in another 14 days. Surprise!!! We didn't! We email again and Judith let's us know that whatever that billing issue was actually hadn't been resolved and they were still looking into it (cited something about card processors or whatever). Well finally after OVER A MONTH of waiting for our refund, I read the fine print very closely and found that as long as there is proof of due diligence that you tried to get a refund, you CAN file a charge back. So we did and low and behold, look who finally gave us our refund. So Ryan, Kay, Judith, and anyone else who "works" here, I sincerely hope you all sleep well at night knowing that when you wake up in the morning and clock in to your company, that you're knowingly and gladly taking advantage of people who only need your support and services. We wanted to have faith in your company but im 1000% sure that your positive reviews are either fake or paid for. Thanks for nothing ❤️👍

Please DO NOT arrange anything with this company.
This is a total SCAM.
They have the worst customer service and quality service I’ve ever had to deal with.
Initial quote doubled, they didn’t comply with packing material at pick up, didn’t asaemble my furniture at delivery, for which I paid over $300. Many of my things got lost or damaged. I am filing a claim with the carrier, but I would’ve NEVER chosen the carrier that United Pro Van Lines used.

Beware Scammers
Beware Scammers! I am taking legal actions to get this fraud company’s license suspended. On 9/6/23 I got a call from United Pro Van, Chris, who agreed literally with all conditions I made in regards to moving my furniture and it seemed an “attractive”deal for the long route. I was asked to immediately pay $1290 to lock the deal . When I printed the contract….WOW I was shocked. Whatever I was told by Chris was a BIG LIE. He lied about extra fees that I had to pay after I get my stuff (including packaging and handling etc) I right away called back and here you go, NO ANSWER . I emailed within an hour asking to cancel and refund me.According to their contract (policy) full cancellation applies when its done within 24 hours of the placed order. The nightmare started the next day. They called and tried to persuade me not to cancel by promising not to change extra. Should I believe this scam company or my eyes after making research about this fraud company’s operation. Finally she gave up and told me that I would receive the refund within 45 days, HUH? That is what you say verbally, What about your written policy that clearly says 14 BUSINESS DAYS? Anyway, they finally admitted knowing I have the paper contact. I called them regularly talked to Kay, the rudest eve customer service rep I’ve ever talked to. The way I was treated by Kay, I felt myself robbed. I am reporting to FMCSA & will file a police report tomorrow report to BBB and FINALLY take legal action to get their license suspended.
FYI, today was 14th business day they came up with another lie that they have system issue processor doesn’t work and they can’t refund. LIES…Every time I spoke to Kay she told me they still have time and 14th bussiness day will be on 9/27/23. Now its the end of day. No refund . The system only works when charges but when they refund the system automatically shut down. Funny Huh?
Now another trick, they sent me a screen shot that if I publicly report about the false case while its under review I they will forfeit the case. COME ON. I already have cancellation email approved by you but not an actual REFUND. THAT IS ALL I WANT, nothing more nothing less!!!!!
I already found the owner and will also publicly post so everyone knows they are robbing people
All proofs I can provide.
Remember if you have such case report it to FMCSA and will will help other people to save their money.
The next review is coming!
My order # is UP6550080, in case if again you lie people saying you dont have such a customer

HORRIBLE!!
HORRIBLE!!! Made me put down $1,000 depot, PROMISED they would not reschedule without plenty of notice, said they’d be there first thing Sunday morning (I moved the date up a day at their request, as they said it would help them out because they were going to be in my area that day). They also kept insisting that we add one more day JUST IN CASE THEY DIDNT GET EVERYTHING DONE IN ONE DAY!).
On moving day I waited and waited for someone to show up. At 11am I finally leave to grab a bite to eat. I get a call from a driver 30 minutes later saying “so do you want to move tomorrow afternoon or can we wait until Tuesday?
“What?!!!” I call the company to complain, they are extremely rude and act like I’m being unreasonable, expecting them to be there early in the morning the day of the move.
They said I put down a 2 day window, and even though the driver couldn’t possibly get there until noon the following day, that they were being completely reasonable.
It was one driver! I’d paid for the complete package which included them bringing boxes and doing all the packing for me, as well as taking furniture apart and putting it back together, then loading and transporting all my stuff, unloading and putting everything back together.
And they expected 1 person to do all of that in one afternoon including a 5.5 hour drive to our new house?!!! That’s including the second day as they were still 11 hours away when they called halfway through the first day!
I had to be there when promised as I had appointments scheduled. So we rented a uhaul and struggled through the move ourselves.
They have refused to return my calls, refused to refund my money, and I’ve never even gotten an apology! They instead acted like it was my fault! I guess we should have been fine with them lying to me, forcing us to do all the work, as the 1 person they had coming (1.5 days late) couldn’t possibly have gotten all of that done in less than 5 days (and that is an extremely optimistic estimate).
I could go on about the horrible things said to me that first day but in short I’ll just say “DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY!” They are sweet as pie until they aren’t! They are charming as I’ll get out until the game is done and they have your money.
I suspect they lied to the truck driver too. He seemed to genuinely have no idea what they’d done to all of us.

Great Service at a Great Price!
Overall Great Experience. After shopping around to find our perfect mover, and weighing in on different factors, I went with UPVL, and glad I did! They took the most thorough inventory. I could tell they knew what they were doing. Customer service checked up with me a few days from the move and checked the inventory list. Made sure we had everything accounted for. I packed my own boxes, but they did all the heavy lifting. It did take one day longer then I expected for delivery, but customer service, I think his name was Justin, was very helpful and kept me updated. I wont hold that against them because traffic jams do happen. I hope I never move again, but if I do, it will be with United Pro!

Lies and no communication
The original guy I talked to on the phone lied about multiple things. He said this was his personal number I could call any time of day and night if I had any questions. It was just the number to the office and I never heard from this man again. He said the quote he gave me would not change under any circumstances, which it did it increased by $800. If he would have just been honest in the beginning about this stuff it would have been no problem, why all the lies? We had only hours notice for both pickup and drop off despite multiple calls to the company to ask for a time frame. They were also deceiving on the phone about the insurance policy, it is only $0.60 per pound. They lost our vacuum cleaner, the shelves for one of our bookshelves, and a laundry hamper. Because these do not weigh very much we will get pennies for them despite the total value being a couple hundred bucks to replace.

Can’t go lower than a 1 star here and they do NOT deserve even that. I would NOT recommended these people to anyone ever. From day one it was lie after lie after lie. Ripped me off for over $3000! Lied to me and doubled the original quote price! The mover did nothig but continually rub his crotch and talk to me like I was stupid!

Misled, Lied to and taken advantage of
After many thorough conversations with UNITED PRO VAN LINES regarding our items to be moved we were quoted 407 cf with an estimated total moving cost of $2000. United Pro Van Lines set up our move with HANDLE WITH CARE MOVING AND TRANSPORTATION. When they arrived at our home in Indiana the mover asked me to sign the Interstate Bill of Lading Contract. The only numbers on the contract when I signed it was the Cubic Feet Charges of 407 @ 4.00 per cu ft. total $1028. I then signed the contract.
The movers had our allotted space in the truck roped off and showed us multiple times that we had plenty of space. He had a rope hanging in the truck that we could not go past or we would be over the 407cf. Once all our items were loaded and we were once again told we had plenty of room left we opted to add a few additional items, such as bulk Costco toilet paper and bulk Costco paper towels. The mover then shut the truck. He then informed us that we went over the number of items quoted and it would be an additional $422. Now totalling $2422. We were shocked because no one had ever mentioned “number of items” we were only told we had 407cf in our quoted move. We were told before he shut the truck that we were still behind the rope and under our quoted 407cf. We then demanded that he open the truck so that we could take the additional items off. We were not going to pay $422 more to send items such as toilet paper. He then added the additional numbers to the contract I had previously signed. I did not sign anything after he added the new updated total. He told us that he was not allowed to open the truck door once it was closed. We told the driver we needed to call the moving company and we immediately called Judith with United Van Lines and while we were on the phone with her the driver drove away with our valuables! This was the beginning of our nightmare move.
Judith with United Pro Van Lines told us multiple times she would review the Interstate Bill of Lading Contract and get back with us. Of course we never heard anything. Our hands were tied. The moving company, HANDLE WITH CARE MOVING AND TRANSPORTATION had our valuables and we just wanted them delivered safely.
Our valuables left our home in Indiana on 6/21/2023 and did not arrive at our Florida home until 7/14/2023 at 8pm (our first date listed for delivery was 6/26/23 so this was 19 days later) I was told on average it would take about 4 days. I was never informed that it was a shared move and could take this long.
On two different occasions we flew to Florida awaiting our items which never showed. There were lots of expenses in flights, hotels and rental cars.
When our long awaited valuables finally showed up in Florida, the first thing I noticed when the movers opened the truck were our couch cushions unwrapped and laying on the floor of the dirty truck! We had just purchased a brand new Pottery Barn sectional, dining table, console table and bench. They were in perfect condition when they left our home in Indiana. All items were delivered damaged and beyond repair. To replace the couch alone would be over $6000 and we will be lucky to get $200 back from the insurance.
I realize now we should have purchased additional insurance. I was only told multiple times by United Pro Van Lines that we were completely protected with up to $10,000 in insurance that was included in our move. I was never informed that I would only actually get .60 per pound. The movers on the drop off told us that all of our furniture should have been wrapped in blankets. None of our furniture was wrapped or protected. It looked like someone just threw it in the truck.. The couch has multiple tears, grease, and dirt stains. The tables are chipped and dented.
We are heartbroken over this move. We spent years saving for our retirement home and picked out the perfect furniture and it was not handled with care. Ironically, the toilet paper and paper towels we tried to remove from the truck never showed up. We also had a brand new twin mattress and garage shelves that did not show up either.
We feel like we were misled, lied too and taken advantage of.

Horrible Experience
My mother passed away in May of this year and I needed to move some things from her house in Michigan to my home in Oregon. I had a detailed list of the items with measurements that I needed moved which was approximately one room full of things. The largest thing I had was a 5.5-foot love seat and they had a detailed list of everything I had to move. I called United Pro Van Lines and they said this would be perfect because they had a moving truck going to Oregon and it had some room left for my things. I sent them my list of items and did not add more things than what I talked to them about. The first man that I talked with said that I could add 35 more boxes and pay the price we agreed on. I was encouraged to bring more but I didn’t have anything more. I told him how I was packaging things and he said it was fine. I thought this sounded great because I didn’t have any more items so I signed the contract. I received a call a few days ahead of the move and I told them my list was the same except that I might add a small bench. He said that unless I surprise them with a grand piano, the price would not change. They sent a Ryder truck to pick up my things a couple days late and when he walked into the house, he immediately said, “No way, they misquoted you” I was called in Oregon and he kept telling me that he understood that I signed a contract but I was misquoted. He said that I had bulky items and that I needed to use his boxes and crates. He demanded that I sign a new contract and pay him $3152 in cash.” I was so shocked and he was angry and rude when I told him that I did not have $3152 in cash to give him.” He told my sister that she would have to give him the cash and sign. When she said that she didn’t have cash, he became very rude, threw boxes and slammed the truck doors. The passenger in the Ryder truck told my sister that this happens all day long and that they have angry customers every day. I did tell him to leave because this felt so wrong and went against everything they had previously told me. After he left, I called customer service and was so upset and asked if this is right and she said no that this isn’t right. She tried to call the dispatchers and said they didn’t answer and so she would send the recorded call to the people above her. She told me to send them an email with the details. So, I did that and waited for them to get back to me. I was sent an email and was told that I signed a contract saying that I would not get a refund if I refused service and that I had bulky items. When I asked if she read my email, it was obvious that it didn’t matter. She said that it was all hearsay and that I should have called customer service while the driver was there but I was in Oregon and couldn’t leave a rude, angry man alone with my sister so I waited until he left. My mom’s things are still in Michigan in my sister’s basement. This happened at a time when I was grieving my mom’s death and feeling so anxious. I hope that I can help others so they will not get into this awful situation.

They're a broker and have no control with the actual moving company..
I contacted with them for a move from ATL to Louisville, KY. Got a quote. Did not know that they were a broker.
They stay on the phone and push you to give them the credit card down payment.
The movers showed up on the correct date, now 6 days later we can't get it delivered. United Pro Vanlines took $1500 downpayment. Then the mover came and of course the price went way up from the quote. They took another $2000, plus the movers extorted a huge tip from me.
After 11 days 1/2 the shipment showed up. The movers demanded complete payment or they wouldn't unload the truck, after driving the 7 hours.
Now, I'm out $4600+ and still not done with the saga.
We're at day 20 and have NO idea when the rest will arrive.
Their contract says they have up to 21 business days to deliver our stuff.
In fairness to United Pro Van Lines, Judith and Justin have tried very hard to get information from the moving company and keep me updated. Which is appreciated.
This has been a terrible, expensive mistake.

Awesome customer service!
In my experience this a great Moving Company! We moved from Minnesota to Texas! We started with a POD thinking that was our best bet but custom service didn’t help my husband figure out what size he truly needed and we ended up filling quite gas and still had items left and we ended up have more items that went to our son’s house while we waited two weeks before made the actual move! I started looking for ways to move the rest of the stuff and received a call from United Pro Lines and they gave me a fair quote. They came and picked up the items. Very pleased! We will use them again!
