I have been working with Ross a long while now working through personal struggles and attempting to re-wire past behaviours and patterns in relationships. He has enabled me the opportunity to feel safe throughout the experience, building the agenda together based on my needs and I feel so much stronger and more able to cope with the complications of modern life as a result of the sessions we continue to have. It's a relationship that helps me to grow.
It has been fantastic working with Ross on my self development journey. He is very accomodating and compassionate. I come out of every session feeling clearer in the mind and genuinely positive about the direction I’m heading. I very much recommend using United Counselling and Ross.
1. ross has been a very helpful resource in helping me navigate a period of high uncertainty and stress. he is highly accommodating to my needs both in scheduling and in incorporating elements of my own self improvement journey, valuable traits for someone living internationally with a high stress job as myself.
Flexible on times and schedule. Very open minded and genuinely listens to you.
I have found sessions very helpful and they have improved my emotional maturity.
I’ve worked with Ross in therapy for around 12 months and he is the best at what he does. He has helped me to get out of an alcohol abuse problem and back to myself in a relatively short space of time after little progress for a few years. He always makes himself available when you need him and has a great way of helping you to understand yourself better. Looking forward to continuing working with him in the future to focus on other areas of my life.
In the past I’ve found it really hard to find a therapist that has worked for me. I’ve now been working with Ross for almost a year, and he is definitely the right fit for me, it has helped me work through a broad range of challenges I’ve had with my mental wellbeing. Ross ensures that I have been heard and understood every session, he’s proved to be very adaptable and brings a range of tools to sessions to help me better explain and understood my own circumstances. He also does the essential things really well including timeliness, proactive communication, professionalism and integrity. Would highly recommend Ross as a therapist.
I have finished my sessions with Ross a few months ago and I feel like I have made great progress with him, The sessions were great and I felt very comfortable telling him how I felt.
If I ever need to do more sessions I will be sure to go back with Ross.
Ross is a great therapist! He has helped me understand myself better and gave me tools to deal with challenging situations. The sessions flow between structured and open conversation. Ross is kind, patient and very knowledgeable. He helps me see the bigger picture and patterns. I feel seen and understood and recommend United Counseling big time! Thanks Ross
Ross has been a rock for me for sometime now and has helped me through some really challenging times and continues to be a really positive influence in my life, working with me to help be the best versión of myself and live a full & happy life. 10/10 !
Ross is my first therapist. Being new to therapy I was a little sceptical and unsure of what the process would be. I would urge anyone new to therapy to just get through the first session. Out of necessity, it is quite a formulaic session trying to identify key areas of development, needs and ways of working for therapy going forward. Ross was very personable from the off but it's after the first session where you can immediately see and appreciate the benefit of the way he works. He has been a huge help as I'm learning a lot about myself, identifying my triggers and how I can control them. He's not just a silent figure to just listen. He's a sounding board that understands, relates and challenges ways of thinking. He approaches every discussion with a care and sensitivity that builds a huge amount of trust. Because of that he is able to create an environment where challenging a thought or point of view can be done naturally without any agenda. I think that's essential to allow your own internal compass to find it's own bearing on an outcome and to reorganise or find a solution moving forward. Can't recommend him more.
Ross is the first therapist I tried, and hopefully the only one I will ever have. I was highly skeptical about therapy at first, and didn't really want to do it and talk about anything personal with another person. Ross was super smooth at initially building that trust and rapport, such that I was able to begin communicating, which then led to me seeing the results of therapy. He makes great insights into your issues and presents them in a very non-aggressive/invasive way, he simply proposes these connections and asks whether you would agree, makes me feel heard and unjudged.
He is also just a great guy in general, which makes it feel so natural talking to him. Ross has helped me a lot, and I am certain that he will be of great assistance to you surrounding whatever you seek help with.
I think that the best therapist is someone who not only listens but creates an environment where you feel genuinely understood and safe to open up. For me, Ross has done exactly that, offering understanding and a non-judgmental space that has allowed me to explore both my current emotions and their often hidden source. In each session he has shown empathy and compassion (even when I didn’t have that for myself) and has provided insight, guiding me to understand my thoughts and, most importantly for me, my own behaviour in ways that I never could on my own.
He does this with pertinent but subtle questions and gentle encouragement. In this manner I’ve been able to connect with parts of myself that I’d buried or tried to ignore.
My journey of self-discovery has been transformative, allowing me to feel more confident, resilient, and at peace. Although he often encourages me to see my progress as the result of my own work, it is his skilled guidance that has allowed me to be vulnerable and honest, empowering me to grow in ways that I hadn’t thought possible.
I can’t recommend Ross enough as a therapist! From our first session I felt supported, understood and listened to in a way I haven’t before with previous therapists. He creates a safe space where I can openly and comfortably discuss the challenges I’m facing as well as previous life experiences. Working with Ross so far has helped me to transform the way I look at things and I genuinely feel like I’m making progress like never before.
