Works as expected and nothing beats this price! Thanks!
Have been using their free tier to manage my small home network for the last 6 months.
Easy breezy setup, flawless performance.
Have had zero problems.
Stable, great pricing, perfect solution
I've used this for a small personal Unifi site and it has been great so far.
It was as easy and straightforward to setup as claimed. Even eMail was fielded promptly.
In our environment we had three seperate self hosted set ups when I took over operations. I was going to purchase the Ubiquiti cloud hosting device and consolditate when I stumbled into UniHosted. We use too many devices for the free version but the cost for this service is less than a third of the price to purchase the web hosting device. The service has been flawless. The one instance I needed support the UniHosted team responded shortly after inputting the support ticket and resolved the issue (My fault) on the spot. Easy to use, Easy to set up, always up. This company made Unifi Wireless better...
I've used UniHosted for my home setup for a few months now. I'm very glad I gave it a try, so far it worked flawlessly and I had very easy onboarding.
We use UniHosted and love it. It takes the complexity out of managing our Ubiquiti set up. The added security benefits really make this something that we rely on.
If you're looking for a robust, easy-to-use, and free solution to manage your UniFi devices, UniHosted's UniFi Controller is an absolute gem. What makes it stand out is its free plan for up to 5 devices, making it perfect for small businesses, home setups, or anyone dipping their toes into UniFi networking without having to worry about costs.
Key Features:
Free for 5 Devices: Unlike many services that cap their free tier at 1 or 2 devices, UniHosted offers management for up to 5 devices completely free. This is fantastic for small setups and gives you a lot of flexibility.
Cloud-Based: Being cloud-hosted, you don’t need to run a local server or worry about maintenance. The controller is always available, reliable, and updated regularly, ensuring the latest features and security patches are applied.
User-Friendly Interface: The UniFi Controller interface is already known for its ease of use, and UniHosted doesn’t tamper with that. You still get the intuitive dashboard, detailed metrics, and full control over your network.
Fast Setup: Getting started is a breeze. You can be up and running within minutes, and the UI is as responsive as it would be with any premium hosting solution.
Scalable Options: If your network grows beyond 5 devices, UniHosted offers affordable paid plans that scale as you need them. You don’t have to worry about a huge price jump when your network expands.
Performance
The UniFi Controller hosted by UniHosted is fast, stable, and incredibly reliable. I've had zero downtime, and the performance metrics, along with real-time updates, make monitoring a pleasure. It's also great knowing that your controller is backed up in the cloud, adding an extra layer of security and peace of mind.
Verdict
For anyone with a small network who doesn’t want to pay for expensive controller hosting, UniHosted’s UniFi Controller is the perfect solution. The fact that it’s free for up to 5 devices makes it ideal for home users and small businesses alike. Plus, the upgrade options mean that as your network grows, you won't have to jump ship.
Overall, I highly recommend giving UniHosted's UniFi Controller a try if you’re looking for an affordable, reliable, and feature-rich UniFi hosting solution.
I’m sure it’s not a bad service but clearly not for a home setup.
I followed the instructions to the letter, sshd onto the AP and did what was necessary to point it to the server but it was never able to be found when i tried to add it using the MAC address.
Until now, I’ve always used a cloud key but was trying this as my Gen1 key is incompatible with my new U6 APs but had to bite the bullet and install my own internal server software controller which worked 1st time.
May be something to do with my pfsense firewall setup but I gave in and went the simple and more secure route instead.
Amazing support within minutes via Dries, who was really helpful and provided a solution.
Very helpful team if something is unclear. Nice Dutch guys. M
this is the only Unifi Cloud hosting service where you can get a free controller ( for 5 devices ) lifetime. a update to 10 devives for 1-2 € per month would be great . that would be make it perfect for me . at the moment i could adopt only 3/4 of my setup 🙄

I migrated a couple of APs for our office to the free service. After reading the documentation, all went smoothly and after a week, so far so good. A great service and can highly recommend for the average small business / home user.

I was looking for simple management of Unifi controller for a remote site (second home/rental 7 hours from primary home in USA). Free UniHosted was easy to set up and put into service. My understanding is that Unifi devices will update automatically so I won't have to deal with that hassle.
I’ve had a self-hosted Unifi controller for my primary home (6 Unifi devices) for 7 months before deploying UniHosted for second home. Performance for UniHosted free server (Netherlands) seems good as compared to self-hosted controller.
With free UniHosted controller, I don’t get the same access to the network statistics that I get on my self-hosted controller. My free UniHosted site is borderline on needing and extra AP. Without having the stats, it will be difficult to make that determination since I don’t have access to AP client history.
Great value free hosting and a doddle to set up.
good articles on their blog too!

Great free service for testing a setup. Easy to use and it works with the new UniFi 7 access points.

I had some issues adopting my USG to the free tier, but support was able to correct it on their end and get it working.
UniHosted is far more reliable than I expected, and although this was originally going to be a temporary solution, I might just leave it permanently.
