Don’t order from this company
Don’t order from this company. I ordered three of their bras and two of them ripped within a month. The company refused to replace them because their design team said that the rips were not caused by a manufacturing or design defect as evidenced by the location of the rips. They said because the rips were not in a specific location, that was evidence that it wasn’t their fault. So waste of money because I can’t even use two of the three bras i ordered. Terrible company.

They also encourage you to keep the bras because "lines (which only happen when a bra is too tight) and the wire not fitting your breast" is perfectly fine as long as it doesn't hurt. This is such a horrible practice to tell people! People need companies that care about right fit not good enough so they can make more money off of people
Deceitful and dishonest
I ordered 4 bras from Understance all in a 36G. A couple days after I ordered them I received an "updated return policy" email. I thought that was odd, but paid it no mind. It took awhile for my purchase to arrive compared to other companies I've ordered from. But they are supposedly based out of Canada, so I assumed that's what caused the delay. All 4 bras were too small in the cup, so I thought I could just exchange them. Unfortunately the only option I was given online was a return. I started the process and was emailed a return shipping label from Understance. I waited 10 days with no response from the company. I tried calling customer service using the number on their website during the hours of operation listed. I was greeted by a prerecorded message saying someone would return my call when they were back in the office. However none of my contact information was retrieved. So I emailed support for an update about my return. I was told that it was shipped to their US warehouse, but that facility wasn't set up to "inspect returns". So they mailed it to the Canadian warehouse and that could take 2-3 WEEKS to arrive. In the meantime, I started searching for reviews from other consumers to see if this was a common procedure. Understance has disabled Google reviews which was suspicious, and when I saw that 60% of their reviews on Trustpilot were 1 star I knew that something was amiss. So far I still have not received a refund or an exchange for the $162.40 I spent on 4 bras. When I tried to share my experience on their social media platform my comments were blocked. So much for transparency. My next step is to contact the Better Business Bureau and whatever government agencies are used in Canada to monitor corupt companies in that country. My advice to anyone considering purchasing products from Understance is BUYER BEWARE! This company is deceitful and dishonest.
Irregular concerning business practice
I submitted an order for three bras, two days ago for 124.00. Understance.com cancelled, citing fraud, incorrect zip code. I responded confirming correct information. Understance noticed they issued a refund yesterday morning. ( not true) A rep called this morning. Politely stated Understance was unable to reinstate my order, or confirm a refund. This company comfort level in their failure to perform is Very disappointing.
Superb products and service
I really like this company. In my experience with several purchases over two years - service, delivery and products are excellent and the prices are very reasonable. I like their willingness to consider feedback for new designs.

Disappointed they didn't live up to their own hype
I was excited to see the wide selection of sizes offered and had high hopes for the product. I thought that it would be fairly straightforward since they use multiple measurements to help you determine what size would best. Two were too small. One fit but was terribly uncomfortable. Wasn't satisfied at all.
Hands down the most positive bra shopping experience of my life

You have no idea how much confidence it gives me when I put them on. I didn’t know how much bras had negatively impacted me before. I love the Ivy and Quin and will recommend your business to everyone. Keep up the amazing work.
In-store Purchase, Excellent Customer Service, Eventually Excellent Fit
I purchased in-store because I did not want to deal with returns. I bought two bras because they fit well in-store. When I got home, I washed them on a cold, delicate cycle in an underwear bag, before wearing. They stretched significantly after just one wash. I contacted the company via Instagram to explain the issue and received excellent customer service. After a quick conversation, I was told to go back to the store for an exchange. The customer service in-store at Robson Street, Vancouver was excellent. I changed to different styles of bras, tried them in-store, took them home, washed them to wear, and they still fit well (supportive and comfortable)! Finally good bras and excellent customer service. Would be 5 star if the first pair fit well after the first wash.
Ordered several bras
Ordered several bras. Three didn't fit and returned. Only getting refund two. Customer service says one was stained and will not give me a refund. There was no stain. Would never shop here again. Not an honest company.
Ripped bra - no refund
I ordered 3 bras. Kept two of them (in retrospect should have only kept one as the quality of the second one is garbage) and returned one. The one I returned was shipped to me with a BROKEN STRAP. I noted that was the reason for the return and shipped it back to them. I got an email stating that I would not receive a refund because I returned it in not "saleable condition". Responses from me have gone unanswered. Never in my life have I ever experineced something like this from a company. STEER CLEAR OF THEM
Refund scam
I can't remember the last time I reviewed a company but I can't remember the last time I had such a terrible experience. I wish I had read the reviews here about their return scam before purchasing since I guess what happened to me is pretty common. I returned three bras and they claimed deodorant damage to 1 of them (which there was not, I wore them each for less than 30 seconds as they did NOT fit, and I tried them on right after showering while I wasn't even wearing deodorant) and refused to refund any of them offering store credit instead. Which makes no sense even if there WAS damage to 1, which there wasn't, how does that impact the other 2!? I filed a complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario because this is crazy that they are getting away with this.

Beware their shipping policies!!! When my order never arrived, Understance told me to "check with my neighbors" (my mailbox is in a cluster unit with a few hundred other boxes). When my neighbors hadn't seen the package, I was told that USPS had delivered the package, so there was nothing they could do. Their website tells you (in the FAQ, not even on the Shipping Policy page) to inquire with the courier when this happens, but I could not do so since Understance had already submitted an inquiry about this tracking number. When I asked the rep "So I'm just out $87.50?" her response was "Unfortunately yes." That's it. I submitted a dispute with my credit card and reported them to my state's attorney general's office.
The bras fit terribly and are cheaply made
The bras fit terribly. They are very cheaply made. A good bra should fit, perk up your breasts, relieve pain in your back if you have large breasts or weak muscles.
These do none of those basic things. And they are probably worth $10 and are sold for $40 which is cheap for a bra (good quality fitted bras cost about $120-200 for DD women) but they LAST if they are good quality.
This will make you look like you have a uniboob.
Buyer beware
BEWARE… I purchased a bra from this company and it didn’t fit. I could not even get it fully on. I put it back in the tissue and box it came in and sent it back. Received an email shortly after that advising that there would be no refund as the bra had some kind of black stain on it. This bra had had contact with my body for maybe 30 seconds. It was sent back exactly as I had received it. They offered store credit in return. This is a complete fabrication on the part of this company, Please beware if you are purchasing from here. There are plenty of other companies out there that offer amazing service ( Freshpair and Knix for example) I should have stayed with these companies that offer incredible service and products and don’t accuse a customer of this garbage.
Excellent company, great products and good services
I ordered many times on this web site last summer (only bras) and was always very satisfied. Bras are of a very good quality. I found the right fitting with the size chart. Except one that was a bit too small, so they accepted to reimburse me when I shipped it back. I have even change my idea on a order on which I used points/reward and they accepted to just do a exchange with the other product I preferred instead of reimburse me when they'll have get back the unopened box (that would have been longer and the promotion would have been terminated). Great services! I recommend this company to everyone! Thanks Understance for all your wonderfull bras!!

I wanted to buy some cotton bras for a trip to an area with hot weather. I ordered two cotton bras and when they arrived, they were a different design and were clearly not cotton. I had received an acknowledgement of the order from the company that clearly stated that I had ordered cotton bras but when I wrote to ask what happened to my order they simply said that sometimes their descriptions didn't match the tags on the garment and they couldn't help me.
