We also do not charge any commissions, but depending on the type of cryptocurrency that you deposit the network itself will have a transaction fee, so it's important to be aware of the transaction fees for the different crypto networks. The wallet or exchange that you are transferring from will typically indicate this amount before the transaction.

Transferred some Tern (Unbanked) from the 'Stellarx' platform which took about 40 mins to clear, also transferred some Tern into my mother's 'Unbanked' account which for some reason took 2 days. Got in touch with support and they sorted out the problem relatively quickly

SCAM GARBAGE
This is a scam a 100% scam. I deposited money and then they told me that they were not approving my account. But they kept the money that's in the account that I transferred some Bitcoin now I have no access to the account. And they told me just to open another wallet that accepts TERN aka Sh#tcoin. And to transfer the money to that wallet well that's kind of impossible if my account is blocked so they made it impossible for me to recover my money do not open an account with these people they were formerly known as TERNIO, but just like most scammers they had to change the business name. This card and bank is reminiscent of the reason why I wanted to get away from the banking industry in the first place and into decentralized crypto accounts. This bank or card or cryptocurrency wallet whatever you want to call this dump it's not the solution if you want to get away from the banking industry and the egregiousness of banking, Unbanked is worse than Chase Bank or Wells Fargo.
Trustpilot should investigate their reviewers because the positive reviews on here are absolutely phony.

2. Your money is held as crypto in your card balance and fiat in your bank account balance, so you have the option to choose when and how you deposit.
3. Unbanked has been our official corporate name since we changed from Ternio, and this was announced to all users. UNBNK is the name of the cryptocurrency.

Simply Awful
Transferred $339 from Coinbase to Unbanked and had fees amounting to $125. I was left with $214 (from which $10 are blocked on the account)
I uploaded all the KYC details correctly and they said that there is a problem and that they will revert at the earliest. After more than 2 hours and a half, nothing and guess what, the $214 left is decreasing. It is now $193.
Sent emails and submitted tickets but no one would answer.
All the positive reviews seem fake. Do not fall into this trap. I will not recommend anyone to use unbanked.com

We are sorry for the trouble. We show that you applied for the international bank account we offer and your account is currently under manual review for the KYC. Right now the initial rollout for our card is only open to United States residents, followed by rollouts in other countries. (Every country has different rules and requirements that we are required to abide by with our partners.) We are working hard to open up our card to residents of 31 European countries and the European launch will happen very soon! Due to recent changes with Britain and the European Union we want to make sure we get things right with a fluid regulatory state, but we anticipate our program going live in the coming weeks and will be planning a big launch around our expansion. After that we will be working on our international launch. Thanks for you interest in our card as it will be released internationally soon.
Regarding your deposit. We do have an alert on everyone's dashboard regarding the high ETH fees and we recommend depositing with XLM, LTC or TERN directly to avoid the high gas fees. Pleasant experience becoming a new clientele to the platform
I would rate for a 5 but I believe there's always room for improvement. My overall experiences dealing with the procurement and CS team was amazing. The response I received was prompt, assistance extended to me was personal, the team is flexible and pleasant to deal with. There's limitation on the templated registration form however the team helped through the process and altered the information with my consent after my KYC was done. Keep up the good work!

Trap for Foreigners
1. You claim to be regulated financial institution, are you federally or state regulated and under what name? Are you on the federal listing of regulated financial institutions?
2. How can you claim to give a "banking experience" when you don't offer transfer to other real bank accounts? Your only transfer options are gotcha/scam exchange websites that claim to accept your currency
3. While you claim currency will be converted you never claim user can never convert back or withdraw using other cryptos
This will result in the following scenarios:
1. You are not a USA citizen, your money will go into a blackhole
2. You are a USA citizen and are able to withdraw your money by using the generated card.
PS: I was ironic mentioning you could have even given me 1 million USD because there's literally no way for me to withdraw my money in any kind/shape or form

Sorry to hear you had a poor experience, but a lot of what you're blaming Unbanked for are issues we don't have control over.
1) We're a regulated financial institution across the US and UK/EEA, plus have had multiple 3rd party financial audits. Things don't get more legit than our operation. Saying it's a scam is incorrect.
2) We don't generate any Debit Cards before someone has passed KYC. This is a federal law, so stating you received a card that doesn't work is incorrect. Furthermore, based on your account information, it looks like you DID sign up for a Bank Account which you were given access to. Bank Account services are offered in 200+ countries. The laws are different for cards or bank accounts and all of this is specified in detail on our website.
3) We specify in detail on our website that all currency is converted to TERN on the Debit Cards. We also give a warning to customers BEFORE they send in any crypto funds about this process. Furthermore, the card works at 70 million merchants worldwide so I would agruge that it's accepted almost everywhere.
4) We don't control the validation time of the blockchain. If the network is overloaded your transaction can take longer to clear. It looks like you sent BTC and that can take longer than currencies that have faster times like LTC, BCH, etc. However, even with that our Customer Service team decided to comp you $10 as a nice gesture and you believe it should have been $1,000,000.

I’m using the litecoin card service…
I’m using the litecoin card service they offer and wow support is out of this world. Within a matter of hours I recieved an answer with a solution and with very friendly support. I was actually quite impressed. Compared to Binance and coinbase support this is an A++. In a realm where the community is the drive, they sure have there focus on the correct aspects. Trust and feel comfortable with them from a few days of use more than years of other centralized services Iv used. Will recommend.

Pretty sure most reviews are fake, since I use (try to use) this service and their card for over a year, back when they were called "GetBlockCard" service. Their card never works, the balance on the account melts for no reason, I deposited 1000 and now it's about 730. They also charge monthly fees, opposite to what all other crypto companies do (credit you with nice ROI % for all your balance). Just use a different service if you want to avoid a headache.

Unbanked vs. GetBlockCard
Greetings, dear Readers.
I have used the service since it was still called GetBlockCard for over a year.
Never had a problem with my debit card or bank account. Regularly topped up my account and bought bitcoins without delay.
In the wake of being branded Unbanked, problems arose, and then:
If you buy bitcoin, your purchase is credited the next day.
If you fund your account from a bank account, you must wait 7 days until the deposit is cleared.
The current situation is that on October 27, I ordered bitcoins for $ 2,000, but the order has not yet been executed, even though it appears to be executed in the statement.
Customer service stated on October 27 that they would solve my problem.
The support representative Wesley consistently tells me there are meetings for my question and the engineers are working on solving it, but there is no indication of a timeframe.
It is a surprise to me that Unbanked has been unable to fulfill my bitcoin order for a week.
When I requested the cancellation of the bitcoin purchase and to have the money sent to a bank account, I was also refused.
To avoid losing their money, I ask those who read this review to refrain from working with Unbanked until my current situation is resolved.

Regarding bank deposits. For security purposes, all bank deposits are held for 5 business days before being released to your account for spending. We are looking to shorten this time frame in the future.

I've opened an Unbanked account and transferred about 50 USD to it. After that, I got almost 6000 TERN coins. After that, I tried for almost one month to do anything with the TERN assets and I cannot do anything with it. Cannot exchange it for other cryptocurrencies, cannot transfer it to a StellarX account, cannot exchange it to FIAT currency, and basically, my money is locked up and lost on Unbanked maze. Very bad experience, and very poor customer support. Avoid it!

We will provide specific help with your account there, but generally speaking you can withdraw TERN from your account at any time by submitting a withdrawal request through your account dashboard. TERN trades on a number of active exchanges including all of the Stellar Decentralized exchanges like StellarX, StellarTerm, and StellarPort as well as non-stellar exchanges like ExRates. You may also withdraw funds to a wallet, such as a Lobstr wallet, and then proceed to transfer from there to wherever you wish. These are all ways that you can withdraw TERN directly — once you complete KYC and activate your card, you can also withdraw USD from any ATM machine.
