Avoid this company

There are lots of cheap cameras for toddlers available on Amazon, but I thought it'd be worth spending more on what looked like a better-quality product. Unfortunately I was mistaken. The myFirst 50 camera we bought looked and felt good, but was a nuisance to use. Battery life was terrible, and after about nine months of occasional light use it stopped charging at all.

I spent a lot of time exchanging emails with the myFirst customer service people. They initially shipped a replacement camera to me. I understand this showed willing, but I wanted a refund rather than a replacement. After a lot of emails, they finally refunded most of the purchase price, but deducted the cost of shipping. I even had to pay to ship the two cameras (including the one I never asked for) back to them.

Overall a very poor experience with this company.

A truly awful product.

A truly awful product.

We bought an R1C phone watch for our 8yo from the UK branch of MyFirstTech. I spent three days attempting to set it up for use, only to discover that the supplied SIM does not operate in the UK market. I then set it up to use a PAYG SIM only to discover that the SIM and the operating system would not talk to each other. Ultimately making the product utterly useless for what it was bought for.

The returns process took significantly longer than it should have, with us ending up further out of pocket; a) not recieving the full refund (postage, package, and taxes withheld), and b) having to pay £10 to send the item back to the supplier. This cost approximately £30 in total.

Customer service was polite, but had to be chased for a reply.

Definitely not a product for the UK market.

A Lifesaver for Busy Moms!

I've bought a few cameras from myFirst for my kids and nieces before, and they've been a huge hit! The kids have an absolute blast bringing them along on school field trips and family vacations. It’s been great for giving them a little independence and keeping them entertained—if you're a parent, you know how valuable that is!

Recently, I decided to take it up a notch and got a Fone R2 smartwatch for my older kid.

So far, it’s been amazing! It has GPS, video calls, and messaging—all super handy. I can’t always pick him up from school, so having a way to track his route home gives me serious peace of mind. He usually walks with his friends, but on the days I can’t be there, I love knowing he's safe. Plus, he enjoys calling me as soon as he gets home, even though I can already see it on the parent app.

Everything has been working smoothly so far—no issues with the service at all. Super happy with this purchase!
