The worst hardware experience I've ever had
Far too unreliable
When this works, it’s great. But… it is incredibly unreliable. The app often requires three or four reloads before it will connect to the camera. When updates are released (including, frustratingly, even something as banal as an update to the privacy policy), the app will crash and you won’t be able to access the camera feed for a day or two. This of course creates anxiety and is not acceptable for the price of the product. Not infrequently, the sound feed won’t work on the app and the streaming will freeze without any warning.
Disappointingly, all of the “independent” editorial reviews miss these issues, despite being commonplace.
Think carefully before buying this. I wouldn’t buy it again.
Great concept, dive bombing execution
Originally the camera and system worked flawlessly.
I the recent months I have contacted support god know how many times for some robotic support person asking for a photo of the original plug being used. Never resolving the issues and blagging it's a cable or plug fault. Support are a joke.

Terrible - constant issues, the ‘ai’ is unreliable. They constantly put off giving any advice or valid response.
Absolutely terrible bit of equipment
Absolutely terrible bit of equipment. I’m devastated I paid so much for this but lesson learned. From day one we had issues of crashing, freezing, features not working correctly stop working randomly at night. So I thought id change from android as my partner had a slightly better experience from iOS. Yup I also spent out on an iPhone so their app would run better. After a months use the camera then lost connection again and that was all she wrote after 2.5 years of use, was unable to reset or do anything. I contacted cubo naturally and was told I needed to buy a service kit…..their idea of a service kit greatly differs from mine. They wanted me to pay £70 for a whole new camera with only 6 month’s warranty, that’s how much faith they have in their hardware. Which also brings me to another issue, if the camera only costs £70 that means you’re charging about £180 for the stand and cable, what a joke! To sum up, don’t buy into the million features your never going to use, this is cheap produced rubbish with app developers who have all the ideas but fail to deliver on consistency and quality of service. Avoid like the plague a £50 camera or even less is perfectly sufficient.
Poor customer service
After spending a lot of money for our baby camera set up I needed to purchase another type of mount to fix to the wall, the parcel has not arrived after 3 weeks when it was sent for 48 hour delivery. The customer service I have experienced is non existent, I am stuck in a loop with no support and Cubo AI will not send me what I have purchased. Having resigned up to the premium version for a further fee this year the caregiver visiting notification and the cough and cry alerts have also stopped, again we have had no communication or support for this.
This product is a joke
This product is a joke. Do NOT BUY!
There is zero customer service; they refused to give us a refund.
The product does not work, it gives random notifications, the breathing monitor is not accurate, the detection does not work well.
We were told to reset it and recalibrate which we have done multiple times but it still causes the same issues.

The CuboAI baby monitor stopped working exactly 2 years after we bought it when the warranty expired! I don’t think that is a coincidence at all.
Get something more practical
For such an expensive camera, I would expect the app to be free of charge and to have a choice of a monitor not only phone app. Get something simpler.
Camera works, AI doesn't
Camera is excellent quality and I love looking at it, but they should call it Cubo and not Cubo AI. The AI is awful, regularly giving 50+ false alerts in a single sleep window. I have yet to determine if customer service is terrible or if it is an AI, either way you may as well read their FAQs or be tech literate. Otherwise you're not getting fixes from them

app dosent work alot of the time constant connection issue also you press buttons and it dosent work. not to mention the fact since we have had cubio we have just seen it get worse and worse very disappointing as in early days we highly recommended it.
Not reliable - weird sounds from camera
I bought my camera in 2022, it was one of the most expensive on the market but the roll over/face covered alerts appealed to me. I found these two features really helpful in the first 4-6 months but there were a lot of false alarms or occasions where it did not alarm me at all. I had to provide customer service with alot of evidence to prove this and they eventually sent me out a replacement for free. Sadly the issues did not stop there, as others have reported there is a lot of glitching and it could take ages for the app to open, sometimes it wouldn’t open at all and I’d have to close and reopen multiple times just to see my child. I had to contact customer service again as it stopped working all together, I had to pay approx £60 for another replacement which I was really not happy about. This replacement camera is also faulty, it has woken me up many nights with a constant weird tapping sound (not any of the lullaby choices and not the click sound when it goes from day to night mode). A very concerning sound, like someone is trying to hack the camera, never had this problem with the first one. I am so fed up of the back and forth with customer service which are very difficult to reach as the ticket on the app keeps closing itself if it’s been a day without a reply so you have to re-raise a ticket over and over about the same issue. Customer service are always really polite to communicate with over message. I absolutely loved this camera at first when my baby was learning to roll but I regret buying it, for the price, it has not lasted well at all and I have family and friends who have bought others cameras for a fraction of the cost which are still going strong and more reliable.
Worst purchase of parenthood to date
So we've had Cubo for almost 3 years and I literally hate it. As others have reported it is SO glitchy and it's not my WiFi connection. I'm so disappointed as it's the biggest single investment we made financially for our child and now we're stuck with it.
If you're an anxious parent or you need a responsive camera for health monitoring - do not buy this! There's a definite lag maybe 10-20 seconds between seeing what's happening on camera. Couple this with the crappy streaming and glitchy app and I'm often refreshing for 2-5 minutes to try and get a live view of my child.
We pay for the bare minimum subscription as all the other features were junk. Incorrect alerts caused a lot of unnecessary night wakes. But IIRC, you need the subscription for it to work.
Design wise it's ok but it looks cheap close up. The plug socket is MASSIVE, sticks out from the wall and the cord is easily yanked out by a baby. We had to get a custom safety cover 3D printed to baby proof the room. And the way it's sold means you end up buying multiple stands, the wall mount is an additional cost after the cot/floor stand. It has zero longevity, we have it wall mounted and the cable covers are single use if I need to move it I literally cannot replace the custom cable covers... And don't get me started on the cost of a single replacement cable!
In terms of positives, the daily sleep report is probably the nicest and most interesting feature. And the app puts a lot of effort into auto capturing photos and videos of baby (or unflattering ones of parents if you use a floor bed like us), cute in the beginning but a bit repetitive - there's only so many photos of a sleeping child one parent needs.

I’ve had a CuboAI since July 2023 and never had a problem with it. It has always been reliable (I travel with it too and take the little stand) and I find the picture quality is excellent. However it recently packed in and I found customer service to be excellent. After responding to all my emails super fast and guiding me through the reboot, it seemed it was not waking up. They agreed to replace it with the new model and shipped it out a day later. Couldn’t have been easier and more pleasant to deal with! Nothing but good things to say about this brand.
Expensive, doesn't work.
Set up the product today for my 18 month old having bought it before she was born. Total garbage. Connection is incredibly flaky. I can't disable the bright light making it useless for the night. Most of the features only work if you pay for a costly subscription - having already shelled out £400 for this scam product. Avoid.
NB I can stream video from FOUR elf cams simultaneously, so it is not a 'wi fi strength' issue - which is what they will try to blame.
Great customer support & product
Great customer support - we had an issue with our delivery of our second Cubo and the Cubo team was very responsive and helped us resolve the issue.
We had our first Cubo for 2.5 years now and while it’s true that it is sometimes a little laggy, it is still a great product. I like how there is an excellent quality video without any night / camera light required, ability to have access via multiple devices even when not at home (eg checking in while out one evening), and ability to play back the feed. My only ask for improvement would be a way to remember previous WiFi settings so that when having to set back up if travelling to a regular place (eg In-Laws/parents), you don’t have to set up but can just join a remembered network.

We have had the monitor for over 2 years and had nothing but issues with it crashing and never connecting!!! and why does it never seem to work when baby is crying in the night and you can’t check why!!!!
There are lots of better cheaper cameras out there! This one is going in the skip tomorrow and we are getting a new one
Used for months - it's terrible
Hopefully you find this page rather than the inflated editorial reviews. I'm another parent who's been using a Cubo 'AI' Plus for months having been given it by a friend. As the other parents say, it's buggy, crashes and unreliable. Often you wait minutes for it to connect. The integrated app help is broken more often than not. Half of the features are locked behind a subscription.
I got this for free and found it so frustrating I'm writing this review at three in the morning. Avoid this product.
