Fake Review and Fake Marketing
My experience with Udemy has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. After making a payment for a course, I expected at least a basic level of customer support and transparency, but unfortunately, that expectation was not met.
It appears that the platform promotes courses in Hindi to attract Hindi-speaking learners. However, once payment is made, many of the course materials and videos are delivered primarily in English, which makes them far less useful for students who enrolled expecting proper Hindi instruction. This creates a serious mismatch between what is advertised and what is actually provided.
Another major concern is the lack of direct customer support. There is no easily accessible contact number, and communication through email has been unhelpful and generic. When a learner invests money in a course, they should have a clear and reliable way to resolve issues or get proper assistance.
Overall, the platform needs to improve transparency in course language, provide accurate information before payment, and establish a more responsive support system. Without these improvements, many learners—especially those relying on Hindi-based instruction—may feel misled and unsupported.

Udemy is a company with a weak management and leadership.
As it appears the employees are resisting some sort of company merger and tries to create all sorts of digital mayhem and sabotage at the company.
I tried to purchase Udemy 1 year and 1 month subscriptions and was rejected with 3 different accounts and 8 different debit cards plus google pay. All payment solutions worked flawlessly with other merchants.
The company should hire consultants to weed out the saboteurs and use payment solutions external to the company. This is why paypal, stripe, klarna and a dozen other payment handlers exist.
I am sure that Udemy is a wonderful company with fantastic products tainted by sabotage and internal conflicts.
Low quality, no support, no refund
Fake course description, old material that is no longer relevant to the exam, grammar errors in most of the questions of the practice tests, no refund option two days after the purchase, chat agent blocking contact with a real person. I am really disappointed from the experience and do not recommend this platform.

If you do not want to be robbed of your lifetime access content from Udemy administrators, do not buy from them. In my case more than 15 purchased study items were taken away from me. Your property is deleted without notice! They do not keep up with the normal lawful obligation for every seller to send purchase information to user email or to keep the records in Purchase history in user account on their site. They do not accept to restore content on basis user data: email, payment card details. From user is expected to provide purchase data, which administrators did not send or deleted themselves, and the exact name and link of every purchased item, which is impossible to remember. All this was described by their support as privacy and security policy. Still it is extremely immoral and untrustworthy code of conduct and also does not respect customer needs, which are protected by law. Backup your Udemy content and hope not to be robbed by them! To be sure that you are not the next victim, do not buy Udemy content!

I did a trial subscription and forgot to cancel. I asked for a refund for 3 months when I didn't use the platform at all and the answer was Udemy is "unable" to do refunds. The chatbot for accessing support is terrible and it's really hard to figure out how to log a ticket. The platform is really let down by the poor quality of the organisation's policies. Udemy will be finished soon enough though as now we can all learn everything we want through ChatGPT etc.
Paid for a course, charged on my credit card, but no access and no support
I had a very disappointing experience with Udemy.
I purchased a course through their app and the payment was already booked on my credit card. However, the course was never delivered to my account. The purchase has been stuck in a “pending” state for about a week, meaning I paid for something I cannot access.
I opened a support ticket expecting them to resolve the issue. Instead, support simply redirected me to the payment processor and said they cannot do anything. From a customer perspective this is unacceptable. I bought the course from Udemy and Udemy should take responsibility for making sure customers receive what they paid for.
At the moment I have paid for a course that I cannot access, and support has been unwilling to help resolve the situation.
Based on this experience I cannot recommend Udemy. There are other platforms that provide online courses and better customer support.

Do not sign up with these people you’re into paying a subscription prize and then having to pay additional fees to watch the actual videos. I thought there were thousands of of videos in my subject to watch so I paid the annual fee to save a little money. When I signed up, I started browsing the videos only to find a couple, but then a link to “search outside my subscription“. There I found treasure trove videos that I had to pay for to watch. I canceled my subscription and then they told me they would not refund my money since I had paid a year in advance.

A waste of time, money and hope
Udemy is a frustrating experience at best and theft of your hard earned cash. Any time that you have in which to learn anything is used up trying to log in; you have to enter a 6 digit code to log in, but THEY DON'T SEND IT TO YOU. So they take your money for a course but then never let you access it.
Give your money to charity instead, not to this bunch of thieving cheats and fraudsters.

Impossible to cancel subscription once signed up. I want a refund for my latest subscription as I didn’t want to renew, couldn’t find how to cancel it because of the million ‘help’ guides and was unable to speak with an advisor.

My courses disappeared from mylearning page and I'm having difficulty getting them reinstated. The chatbot was quite unhelpful, prompting me to discontinue with the ticket. Pity as the course I was doing was actually very good.

I was dissatisfied with the quality and diversity of the courses on offer and attempted to file a refund claim however, customer service fought me every step of the way.
This forced my hand and I just got of off of the phone with my bank after filing a transaction despite so be extremely careful about giving them any money and check that the course that your looking for is on offer.
