We were UbiFi customers for 3 1/2…

We were UbiFi customers for 3 1/2 years. Our original subscription price was $89.99, but it increased to $119.99 on October 2021 when they did an update and mailed us a new SIM card. It took us weeks going back and forth with tech support to get our internet working again after the update! Fast forward to November 2023 and we lost internet again. After hours and hours on the phone with tech support, they told us the SIM card was malfunctioning and it would take 7-10 business days to get a new one to us. We now work from home and cannot be without internet for that long so we drove to the nearest T-Mobile store to inquire about home internet and boy were we surprised to find out that they now offer it for only $50/month and the brand new 5G router is FREE (UbiFi charges hundreds for theirs). Now we have faster upload and download speeds than with UbiFi, are saving $70/month for service and can get quick, local tech support at the T-Mobile store. Do yourself a favor and go directly to the wireless provider for your home internet needs.

Choose UBIFI for ULTRA LOW data speeds

We have been a customer of UBIFI for 3.5 years. We signed up at a rate of $79.99 until cancelled for unlimited wireless Internet. We have been happy with the service. In October 2021 we were told that we needed to switch to a new SIM chip in our modem. This caused MANY problems that took over 45 hours with tech support to resolve. During this time, we were told that our new rate was $119.99. After installing the new SIM chip our latency has increased from an average of 60 ms to an average of 175 ms. Our data speed has went from an average of 50 Mb to 3 Mb.

If you want slower speeds, longer latency, higher prices, more headaches, then UBIFI is a company to consider.
