My son was initially hesitant to have…
My son was initially hesitant to have an online lesson, so I was in the room with him.
The tutor, Helena, quickly made him comfortable within few minutes of the lesson starting and he gave me a thump to leave the room.
Every time I asked him about the lesson, his response is, "the lesson was very good and I'm beginning to understand things better".

My first lesson went really well…
My first lesson went really well overall. The audio and video quality were very clear, which made communication smooth and comfortable. The student was engaged throughout the session, and we were able to cover the planned content effectively. I felt the lesson had a positive atmosphere, and I’m looking forward to continuing and supporting the student’s progress.

Hello we love tutorful! The quality of tutors is out of this world (excellent) but for some reason we sometime experience issues connecting and have to reschedule our lessons. I am also unable sometimes to access the messages board. I refresh without luck.

Dee is an amazingly patient & kind tutor, she is engaging and never minds explaining things fully and in depth. She has a very jolly demeanor and always seems happy to be tutoring. We have managed to source 2 excellent, reasonably priced tutors via Tutorful. The process of finding a tutor, scheduling lessons, messaging the tutor and paying for lessons is all very smooth. Would highly recommend.

Tutorful will scam you penalty automatically
I have used this platform for 5 years. It was good. But the system recently changed to force you to book a lesson even before messaging to the tutor for details. The system will book the lesson in the same day automatically, that's why you will cancel with penalty. Support from Emily will always telling you the company policy to support Tutorful has rights to charge the penalty. She only see her screen shots without looking at the IT log details whether it's reasonable for a user would book a lesson in less than 24 hours （at the same time I chat with the tutor about his availability). I have deleted this after 5 years usage.

Once a lesson is booked and confirm, students are then able to message the tutor directly to discuss lesson details, goals or any other arrangements. The system does not automatically book a lesson for the same day unless that specific day or time has been selected.
Our booking and cancellation policies are in place to protect both students and tutors and to ensure fairness on the platform. We're sorry if any part of the process felt unclear or unfair.

Such a positive experience

I have found tutorful a great resource…
I have found tutorful a great resource for finding tutors for my daughter studying her GCSE's. Most importantly being able to have a 15 minute chat to see if the tutor seems to be the right fit, but also the detailed biog and reviews have been brilliant. We currently have two tutors working with her and easiest of all it is all on line, and I can review the lessons afterwards if I want.

Beware of this website. They have hidden charges
Beware of this website. This website has been made for Tutors and in their favor rather than the student. My son fell sick and could not attend. He was charged full fees even though we provided a valid reason. We could not cancel as he fell sick just a hour before the class. They charge you full class charge if you cancel within 24 hours. Due to any circumstances if the student is unable to attend, they charge full even though there is a valid reason. Very unprofessional experience. If you are a student it’s a disadvantage on this platform. Worst experience from my end and I deregistered and blocked this provider as their policies are anti student.

We have created our cancellation policy to protect both our students and tutors. You may cancel a lesson at any time from your dashboard and a lesson is not cancelled unless cancelled on the system.
Lessons may be cancelled more than 24 hours before the start time for free. If a lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours before the start time of the lesson, your tutor may enforce a 50% or 100% late cancellation fee, but this is up to them. We understand that given the circumstances this is very frustrating.
