Absolute bunch on con men and woman. DO NOT TRUST

Absolute bunch on con men and woman. Pat who fields the initial calls says she is a combustion engineer and that she knows what the issue is.

It seems slick/confident and you get reassurances but in fact it is a facade.

Names to watch out for.

Prepare To Be Profoundly Disappointed.

My car, a Dacia Duster, suffered catastrophic engine failure on August 21st 2025. I contacted Turnkey Engineering a.k.a. Ribas Motors Ltd. Pat, a lady sales engineer, took details and gave me a quote for an engine re-build. She arranged for the car to be transported from my hometown to workshops and assured me that the work would be completed in about 10 days. Roll forward to 20th March 2026 and the car was finally returned to me. It had been back six times previously! When initially collected, after I was sent to wrong garage, Romsey rather than Staines, It suffered brake failure on the way home, along with a profusion of warning lights. It was collected a few days later and trailered back to the workshop. Over the next five months it travelled, by trailer, to and from the workshops countless times in an effort to get things resolved. I had little choice but to persist as I had paid out nearly £5000 for the works. Mid December I was told by the company workshop manager to go and hire a car and that they would cover the cost. This I did. I paid out £1300 for hire but as yet I have received no payment for this – an attempt at recovering this via the Small Claims Court, is pending, but I’m not optimistic. My research has shown that, according to Companies House, CCJs awarded against them are unsatisfied. My advice to anyone considering using this organisation is DON’T!!! The car has now been sold and the anxiety it caused me is gradually lifting.
Communication is almost non-existent and the fact that there is a language problem (I don’t speak Brazilian Portuguese) doesn’t help.
I always try to look for a redeeming factor when leaving reviews. In this case it’s been difficult, but I would mention the Workshop Manager for trying to hold it all together and to fight against considerable mismanagement exercised by the Company owners. Finally ‘Caveat emptor’ & ‘Nolite te bastardes carborundum’.

Avoid at all costs

Well firstly and most importantly DO NOT touch this company with a barge pole, having initially getting sucked in by the engineer Pat who certainly knew her stuff we decided to go ahead and book our car in . We took it to their site down in Romsey we was told to repair would roughly take 10 working days it took nearly 4 weeks with very little communication other than when I was chasing them turns out they subcontract it out to another company when we finally got the car back and so far we’ve had to spend over £1000 putting things right the fitment of the car being put back together is shocking they dented and damaged the bonnet . All reported back to them straight away and quotes given for the repairs we had to go ahead with the repairs so the car was road worthy, they straightaway agreed with the costs and that’s where communications ended we have waited and waited and chase many time and still not luck . We have no faith that this he engine repair has been done to a good standard. So sadly not the glowing review we had been hoping to write

These engineers make cowboys look good

Great website sales pitch from Pat 110% however what you see and what you're told is not what you get.
The work is passed to a company called Ribas Motors near terminal 4 LHR, that bit was correct, but the enclosed, sterile flagship workshop couldn't be further from the truth. It was like a dirty scrapyard
So called engineers in Romsey workshop couldn't answer my questions as they didn't understand what I was saying. Truck was ready in 7 days after engine rebuild as assured but didn't make it home. Brakes ceased again 10 miles from home. In total the truck went back 5 times the last one for the DPF to be regenerated but after a couple of days the same problem. This time I was told I could find a company if I wanted and have the regeneration done myself.
Shock horror I was told by a local garage that the DPF had been removed without notification or authorisation from me.
This is when I contacted Trading Standards. They took the truck back and replaced the DPF, albeit with a second hand one, but 7 weeks ago the engine ceased as the head gasket had gone and coolant had contaminated the engine oil.
I collected the truck yesterday (26th Nov) from a different garage, a recon engine and a further £6000 later
to be told that several bolts were missing on the engine rebuild, ones used were all different and one part that should've had a gasket fitted had been sealed with mastic!!
A very very costly mistake.
Make contact at your peril

Terrible service.

Terrible service.
Avoid!!!
Website is a false front for a very different service provided.
We paid £6000 (six thousand) pounds for an engine rebuild.
There was little to no communication once they had the car.
It took far longer than planned.
When returned the engine mounting bolts were loose!, the washer bottle leaking, front plastic parts all out of line and covered in greasy hand prints, inside the car dirty.
It would not start properly as jets and parts were not tightened properly.
They had the car back twice to try and resolve.
The huge protective undertray under the engine was completely missing when car finally returned, and then subsequently lost by the garage, with still no replacement supplied, despite me contacting them weekly for 3 months.
The only reason they deserve 1 star is that when we delivered the car to them the engine did not work, and now it does, but at a very high cost of time, money and frustration.

Let down again and again

Let down again and again!

After the last review and response I was told someone would contact me to resolve the issue.

Someone did contact me called who was apparently the new workshop controller from Ribas ( the sub contractor who did the work) promising to look into everything and resolve the issue, this was the 5th May 2025 and I am still waiting for a response!

We are disappointed to see this review, which we believe is part of a series of false and misleading posts made under different names by the same individual. The grievance mentioned – alleged damage to a vehicle – is not related to any work carried out by our team, and we have found no evidence to support this claim.

Unfortunately, we have also received direct communication from this person demanding £1,000 in exchange for removing these reviews. We consider this to be attempted blackmail, and we have reported the matter both to Trustpilot and the relevant authorities.

At Turnkey, we take pride in providing honest, high-quality service and we stand by the integrity of our work. We welcome feedback from genuine customers and are always happy to address any legitimate concerns directly.

Continued poor service

Despite the reply to my previous review, the poor customer service continues!

I have tried to contact them to resolve matters but still not spoke with anyone and no one has bothered calling me!

The company had more bad reviews on trust pilot but they will try their best to get the reviews removed.

If only the reviews had been there when I booked I would not of used them.

Continued bad customer service stay away from this company as you will only get let down.
