Dreadful company. I ordered the Smart Hearing Aids with the 45 day real life testing but you can’t return them once you try them on as the hygiene seal is broken.
I can’t wear them without holding them in my ears as none of the domes fit my ear canal as (I wear children’s buds). As soon as I realised this, I contacted them to see if they had smaller domes but they didn’t. I asked to return them arguing that they are unfit for purpose as they have to be held in place to work. However, because they do turn on, they say they are fit for purpose it’s my small ear canals that’s the problem; and, consequentially, I’m not entitled to a full refund. They offered 30% refund and eventually they’ve raised it to 65% of the original cost. I feel I have been duped! The 45 day home trial is a con. I would NOT recommend them. Appalling service. How can you try something at home but you can’t change your mind. I think this will be a call to the Advertising Standards Agency as there is something inherently wrong with the service they offer. Very upset about this.

Complete con, they say they offer a 45 trial but you can't return them as soon as you open the packet! They don't provide a return address. Read the alternative Trustpilot reviews that have been closed down now.

I have tinnitus in one ear and the website claims that customers with that condition often experience an improvement in their hearing. In my case the tinnitus became unbearable when using the aids and I requested a product return for which no response was received until I sent a reminder. That's when their appalllng customer service comes into play asking lengthy and detailed questions which they say are not designed to obstruct the return and refund policy - totally untrue. They then siad. that the product was unsuitable for customers with tinnitus and that I was not covered by their Smart Hearing Guarantee. They also offered me a 30% goodwill refund which I declined and this was then increased to 40% - also declined ,and they will not send you the return instructions until you have accepted their very low offer! I have now demanded a 100% refund otherwise I will register a complaint with the ASA and initiate the chargeback process with my bank card provider. They try to hide behind the small print and are not at all customer friendly. I know they have a lot of positive reviews which encouraged me to place the order but I can also see that other customers have experienced the same issues regarding returns and refunds so I am now very sceptical. Avoid!

So disappointed with this company. They promise a 45 money back guarantee and then they won’t honour it when the product wasn’t right for my father’s type of hearing.

Total rip off. Misleading information. The hearing aids are big and VERY visible!! After trying all settings, watching videos etc. these aids just weren’t for me. HOWEVER !! trying to return them for a refund is a nightmare !! They try everything to convince you it’s YOUR fault they don’t suit. Initially offered a £47 refund. I refused this and said I’d be taking legal advice. After much going back and forth they increased the offer to a £97 “goodwill” gesture plus £10 towards postage )had to be tracked) . Only after further emails and having to send photos of my proof of posting and delivery did I eventually receive the £97. However, it took further emails and further sending of receipts before I got my postage costs back…. I have never dealt with such an obstructive, unhelpful company. Do not touch them with a barge pole !!!! The product may indeed suit some folk but for those that it doesn’t, good luck getting your “goodwill “ payment back.

DO NOT BUY! Their refund promise is not true. They make you answer complicated questions, then use your answers as excuses NOT to give you a refund.

I am pursuing a claim back through my credit card through the “chargeback” scheme.

One star because no option for zero. After placing my order, i did further research following input from a friend, I carefully read the small print. Its a scam!
"45 days free trial is a scam". If you even so much as open the packaging, you break the terms of this so called warranty, and you will not get a refund.

I tried cancelling the order before it was despatched, no response.

Once the package eventually arrive - several days later than their declared delivery time, i didn't even open it.

I went through their returns process, communicating with Lorraine, their AI Robot, by requesting the return address - i was promised a reply "within 48 hours". More lies. I had to send 4 emails, the final one reminding them of my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, protects remote purchases by guaranteeing a 14-day "cooling-off" cancellation period. Also telling them that i would raise a dispute with my credit card company.

I eventually got a reply, which started another long, time consuming, painful process. "send us photos of the package unopened, before we will start a refund process". "We will give you a second pair free", blah, blah, blah"

They dragged their heels, did everything they could to discourage me from proceeding. Eventually, after yet more phots were requested, i got the returns delivery address. I sent the package tracked, requiring a signature.

ONE WEEK AFTER they had received it, i had to chase them again. "We cant find it", what's the tracking number?" more delaying tactics!

A further week went by with no refund, and i gave them a final ultimatum, pay me within 48 hours or i will put the matter into the hands of my credit card company".

The transaction went through almost 48 hours later to the minute.

The reviews on here are either 1 star, or 5 stars. It is my suspicion that the 5 star reviews are "paid" reviews, and that its all a scam.

I also suspect that this review will get deleted pretty quickly, so have taken a screenshot!

If you decide to purchase from this company beware of their statement of 45 day returns guarantee policy! After receiving and trying their hearing aids I found they protruded from my ear to point they were obtrusive and didn’t give any confidence of wearing them out side the house.
When asking to return them I was just quoted their small print returns policy which my situation apparently did not apply. I did return the items but lost over £100 pounds in the process.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are a scam, when you ask for a refund, you get interrogated for weeks I had to fight for a partial refund, including threatening them with Trading Standards. I cannot understand why they are allowed to trade. Buyer beware......

When I heard about smart hearing I thought all my prayers had been answered I have had hearing problems for about six years but my hearing fluctuates and at times peoples voices become muffled.so some days are better than others. I read some of the reviews first and also the advertising that kept coming up on facebook and thought I would try them and what caught my eye was the trial period. When I placed the order extra items such as extended trial period cleaning pack and spare parts at discounted prices popped up on the screen. After I ordered the hearing aids and some of the extras I thought I had been scammed because it took nearly 2 weeks for them to arrive. Before I got the hearing aids and the other items I watched the on boarding video so when the hearing finally arrived I knew the basics. When I opened the box took out the hearing aids and started to wear them that I noticed the instruction booklet at the bottom of the box when I fully read this I knew that the hearing aids where not going to be right for me as it said in the instructions that do not use the hearing aids if you have unstable hearing this was the first time that this had been mentioned. I contacted smart hearing which to be fair they replied straight away but by the amount of questions I thought this is not going to be straight forward upon requesting to return the products that I had bought I was told that I could not return the extra items as it was not in their policy at which point i read the details of the policy which to be fair if I had done first I would not have bought the extra Items and also because the hearing aids have been used I would not be getting a full refund for the cost of the hearing aids. I have written this review not to put people off from buying smart hearing aids because for alot of people they will be a life changer but for people like me with not straight forward hearing loos please fully read everthing before buying.

I purchased this after online searching and trusting based on the NHS audiologist recommendations!! It was for my mom, since we applied it there was ongoing noises but improvement with hearing. Contacted the customer service and followed their advices but didn’t work. Within two weeks one of the aids stopped working completely!! Again no improvement after following all the instructions!! They accepted for a replacement and asked me to return with my own expense!! They said a replacement will be dispatched as soon as I can provide the return tracking number. Which I mailed them and my package delivered on the next day. It’s been more than a week still no dispatch confirmation of my replacement!! Every day they lie to me and giving me false promises. I have lost their trust and think of getting scammed. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Likely, they are repairing my faulty aids and will return as a replacement!! I am going to contact the consumer rights and have all the evidences. Be careful about buying from them!!!

My 97 year old mother tried hearing aids couldn't get used to them tried to get money back was offered small amount of goodwill cashback as she had not worn them long enough but you cannot force them to wear them if she doesn't want to do l think people should think long and hard before having anything to do with this company if l had read the reviews l would have had nothing to do with them poorly treated

Do not buy from this company. If you try the product and they do not work you cannot obtain a refund. 14 emails back and forth and they still refuse to provide returns address and refund.

The aids do not fit the ear correctly and fall out very easily and when in only omit a high level screeching sound.

Appalling customer service and product. The trial period is a complete scam

In the past I have tried NHS and specsavers hearing aids but they have not been as good as the ones I have from smart hearing.
The clarity of the sound is better and once fitted in you forget you are wearing them.

My experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish.

I purchased this product because it was marketed as a risk-free home trial with a money-back guarantee. After trying it, it became clear that it was not suitable for my needs, so I requested a refund in line with what I believed had been promised.

Rather than honouring the guarantee, the company has spent weeks looking for reasons to refuse it. They have claimed that I admitted to being “profoundly deaf”, which is simply untrue. At no point have I ever said that. In fact, I specifically explained that I could hear the device’s own volume prompts, so I struggle to understand how they reached that conclusion.

On one hand, they claim hygiene regulations prevent them from accepting a return. On the other, they state the device should be returned in a “resellable condition”. Those two positions cannot both be true, yet they have never provided a satisfactory explanation.

Instead of addressing the issues I raised, I received lengthy emails repeating the same arguments while ignoring my key points. It has felt like the objective was to avoid honouring the advertised guarantee rather than to resolve a genuine customer complaint.
As a gesture of goodwill they initially offered 30% refund then increased to 50%.

As a result, I have had no option but to involve my credit card provider and pursue a chargeback or Section 75 claim.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe other potential customers should be aware of my experience before making a purchase. If you are relying on the advertised money-back guarantee, read the terms very carefully and be prepared for a difficult process if you need to use it.

This company's advertising is at best misleading. A full refund is not guaranteed if you are dissatisfied with the aids or their fit. The aids would not fit the ear canal which can only be determined by opening the product packaging. They refused a refund as the aids were working as designed. They offered a 30% extraction payment.
Do read the terms of refund VERY carefully.
The build quality seems fine but will they fit your ears?

Unfair returns policy!! I only wore them for a few hours on 2 days but they caused my eczema to flare and the sound was way too loud, even on the lowest setting. When I said I wanted to return them they asked so many questions about my use of them and then offered me £45 refund.
When you consider their clientele are the older generation mostly living on pensions, it's a total rip off.

Hearing aids not suitable after only 3 days so I asked for a refund - was offered £ 45 for them to be RETURNED !!!

I was convinced to try these aids as they offered a 45 DAY FREE TRIAL.
They were unsuitable as they were too big for my ear canals.
I asked for a full refund but was put through hoops with a questionnaire, with the result being that they would only offer a £30 refund BECAUSE I'D USED THEM IN MY EARS - WHAT DID THEY EXPECT ME TO DO?
After a long drawn out series of emails where I was told the return process is a negotiation I received £97.50 refund which the agent had the temerity to suggest they'd worked hard to achieve for me.
They then delayed the payment by a further 10 days for no reason.
I CAN'T STATE EMPHATICALLY ENOUGH - AVOID THIS COMPANY PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!
