I will be generous and give the application 4 stars. Though initially the application would not allow a selfie to be taken, and after trying to figure out why my phone camera would not allow the permi... See more

I wish I could give minus 50 stars here. I am jobhunting and the agency I wanted to sign up with uses this *&^% product - I can only use a fancy phone (which I don't have) or an Ipad - I tried with the ipad which is not the new generation, it opens the app and then does not photo the ID. 5 attempts now and nought. I was at the agency yesterday and it was not working properly on their fancy ipad either. So I will now go jobhunting where I can submit my proof of ID with some more old fashioned way. This app is atrocious. "User friendly ID check" yeah right!

Poorly thought out IT, probably cobbled together offshore. Cant be doing with these muppets any longer.

This app is a nightmare from absolute hell.
I thought that I had found my dream teaching job and was asked by a "Recruitment Specialist" to use it to verify my ID. I tried again and again on THREE separate devices. The saga went on for weeks. There was always an issue with either the passport scan or the selfie. I have so far missed two onboarding courses because I cannot teach until my ID has been verified. All failing, I used the Post Office Easy ID app and it worked the first time round. Unfortunately, the "Recruitment Specialist" is totally insistent on my using TrustID because it does not want to own up and have to explain to my future employer that it uses worthless technology to vet candidates, so I have probably lost my dream job before starting it.
I resigned from a stable and well-paid Civil Service role a month ago to take up this new job. My plans have been wrecked because of an app, which will result in both total heartbreak and very substantial financial loss.
Just tells me that there isn't enough memory to perform previously operation.
Tried with DuckNGo browser and got past this step, but then it failed to open the camera to take a selfie.
Tried with Chrome, Edge, Firefox and DucknGo. All failed.
Tried with a different phone ( Nokia ) and it worked.
Really rubbish app, no user support when it didn't work. Even a suggestion of using a different phone would of been helpful.
The same as everyone else from what it looks like. The software does not work.
If the government wants to improve productivity they should ban Trust ID from operating.
Utter crap software and slow to use and full of errors
So it's not just mwah who's suffering!
Trying to get employment at Parcelforce, followed instructions and what a pile of s***e.
Is it another Government scam scheme or is it to basically steal your identity?
Been trying fir three days or more to scan my passport. Error message states unable to read then reverts back to request of taking a picture of the passport for the second time even though it request a picture initially. Then a constant loop of requesting a picture of the passport. Gave up this is rubbish.
What a nightmare to use this app for ID check. I might have tried this atleast 20times so far to get my ID checked for Milton Keynes Hospital. I was finally successful at the last step with technology scanning my passport covering page which is almost 10yrs old and faded. But now the trust says the ID failed as my selfie was blurry. The camera refused to zoom out for the selfie. So very difficult to use.
Trying for the past one hour now. The last step just does scan the covering page of my passport!
My bank and dbs application are both on hold now because I have not been able to complete this ID check using this app. What a nightmare waste of my precious time!
The most ridiculous software - This is does nothing for productivity, spent over an hour on my Apple phone trying to get it to accept images and then went into meltdown for 50 mins on a postcode address look up which has a bug. still trying to complete the process...very fed up - thinking I will apply elsewhere for a job!
Doesn't work at all with Firefox on Android. With Chrome your photo is sent off soon as the app is happy, but you don't get to review it yourself. Then after 24 hours you get a brief e-mail reply in sketchy English telling you nothing other than that in their opinion it failed as a likeness and to try again... no feedback, no chance to see yourself... at a whole day an attempt goodness knows how long this will go on.
Really simple to use. got my check done in minutes!
Computer says no! Faffed around for ages scanning and photographing, only to be told later by the requesting organisation that it “can’t verify the address”. No further details of what it wants and no opportunity to rectify. So now I have to arrange a meeting to show a human the documents - again! Very frustrating. Things that are meant to make life easier but do the opposite are infuriating!
Absolutely useless system. Two times I have had to use it and it says passport picture and phone picture not me.. lost 2 jobs because of them.
This is by far the worst system for this.
The process is buggy & infurating. Phone & browser issues.
It takes you through loops, then after tons of scanning effort (Several Times) it always finds somewhere to stall & you cannot proceed.
I have been at the finish stage so many times just for it to just freeze there
Its a Scam don't use it, they just take your money and mess you about
Just go to the GOV website, easy
Couldn't access App to verify document for work via my phone. Was advised that I needed google chrome. After many failed attempts trying to access via G Chrome, I tried other browsers and these didn't work either. Then used monzilla Firefox.
Got documents and selfie done in double quick time.
Questionable tech in use that opens camera and browser access to your phone’s data. A bit too ‘Big Brother’ for anyone’s best interests.
