Helping Families in a Twist
I am not a frequent user but I have made use in past. I had to cancel a room a week ago due to a hotel’s cancellation policy. My son had football during hockey season. After a playoff loss, we needed to get back to hockey tournament Hotel. We hope Trivago comes through start to end. We love our sports.

TRIVAGO website changes booking date to 3 months after I need it...no refund
I booked a 5 day "extension" to a current hotel in Barcelona. We are here for a business conference. After selecting my dates, the price, and entering all billing details, the TRIVAGO Website CHANGED the DATES from October 26-31, to January 26-31, 2027! I'll be back in the USA in January of 2027! When I informed TRIVGO of this incident both by phone and by e-mail with the booking number, I received the same, recorded e-mail that this was a nonrefundable booking. I requested that they award the credit toward the booking I will pay at the hotel NOW. Same recorded e-mail was the response. They're keeping the money. I tried multiple times to work with TRIVAGO, emailed, texted, and phoned. No attempt was made to correct a nearly $600.00 MISTAKE ON THEIR PART. Sadly, I'll need to fight them through my credit card. I suggested they go on their own website and watch how it works. No response. Their WEBSITE HAS A MALFUNCTION and tHEY'LL KEEP YOUR MONEY.

The hotel could not confirm the booking. I had no reservation at the actual hotel. Was told that they do not work with Trivago Deals. Very disappointing.
