If I could give zero I would

If I could give zero I would never got my promised refund of only £32 as opposed to the stated full refund less £45 per ticket per cancellation in future I would book directly with the airline and hopefully get better service

DONT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY THEY TOOK…

DONT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND DID NOT BOOK THE TICKETS WITH THE AIRLINE. I had to pay the airline directly and nearly didnt get to family wedding. Also NONE of the customer service phone numbers advertised on their website actually work and except for useless automated emails I have not had anyone help me. AFTER ONE MONTH still no human contact and NO REFUND.

Have not been able to contact Tripsta to change booking

Booked a flight with Tripsta from Cuba to Costa Rica. Unfortunately, the airline that we are scheduled to fly with had a fatal accident shortly after we booked the flight. As my girlfriend has severe flight anxiety we contacted Tripsta to rebook with another airline. We received one standard response back offering half the cost of the flights as a refund. Although this is not Tripsta's fault we believed the circumstances of the cancellation fell outside the usual cancellation policy and replied asking if there was anything else that could be done. This was almost two months ago and we are yet to receive a response. We have tried emailing again since and neither of the phone numbers available on their website work. Would not recommend booking through Tripsta as it is so difficult to contact them to make any changes to the booking.

Tickets cancelled without my knowledge and money NOT refunded after using Tripsta service

Hi all ,

Please find below an an article by SkyScanner about what can be done as a next step in this situation:
*********************************************************************
Tripsta/Airtickets recently announced that they are restructuring their operations. They are not taking new reservations during this period of time, and have been removed from Skyscanner search results whilst they undergo this process. Tripsta/Airtickets have advised that all existing bookings for future travel remain valid however, they do not have direct access to bookings at this point and are unable therefore to make changes or receive refunds for cancelled flights.

As Skyscanner is neither the passenger or the travel agent, unfortunately airlines will not speak with us directly on any cases for data protection reasons. However, we’re here to help as much as we can and there are several courses of action that you can take to help resolve any issues.

If you need to make changes to your booking, including cancellations:

Please contact the airline directly, stating that Tripsta are unable to access the booking directly and have given permission to the airline to take over control of the booking. Please also contact us and we will try our best to get in touch with Tripsta/Airtickets on your behalf to ask that they add notes to the reservation system giving the airline permission to take control of your booking.

If you’re waiting for a refund or your flight has been cancelled:

We recommend that you speak to you credit card company and/or bank to dispute your transaction/raise a chargeback claim. Most credit card and many debit card transactions are covered in circumstances such as these. We also suggest checking the terms of any travel insurance policy that you may have too, in case such situations are covered too.

We’re very sorry that your travel arrangements have been impacted, and please do get in touch via the contact us link below if you have any questions at all, and we’ll try our very best to give you the best advice possible.
**********************************************************************
Hope the above helps someone. Thanks!

SCAM ALERT - PLEASE BEWARE

I wrote a review a while back about an incident I had using Tripsta way back in April. While flying from Lima to Houston, I had a connection in Mexico. The Mexico-Houston flight was changed to an earlier time so I couldn't make it to the connection. Tripsta did not notify me until the same morning at 6 AM. They told me that if I didn't reply within 2 hours they wouldn't be able to help me. I was in a foreign country so by the time I checked my email it was too late. I tried changing my flight directly with Aeromexico but all the flights were fully booked. I ended up booking a flight with a different company. When I tried getting my money back they said I had to do it through Tripsta. I called Tripsta the next day but because it was after the fact, my reservation number was no longer valid and they wouldn't put me through to an agent. I was really mad so I wrote a review on this site.

After I wrote my review, Tripsta saw it and replied. They sent me an email saying they would help me and would send me a refund by May 15th. I did not receive it. After many emails asking for an explanation and receiving vague responses, today July 25th I sent another email. I received an automatic reply saying that that customer service email address was no longer valid.

At this point I am beyond angry. Please do not use this agency. They are a complete scam. They operate a very dishonest business model and they should be ashamed of the scam they are running.

Do Not Use this Agency!

Back in April of this year, I bought some tickets to go to Reunion. About 1.5 months later I was informed that my flight was cancelled and that if I responded to the email within 2 days I would be granted a full refund for the tickets. I emailed the company and had no reply. I emailed them again a week later asking if my refund was being processed, to which they told me it was. After 2 months I emailed them again asking about my refund, which they then said a refund for ...GPB was being deposited into my account. I was so happy to see that I was being refunded! However, it has now been an additional month and past the 12 business day grace period that it could take to get the money back to me and now I don't know what to do. I have emailed them again asking about the refund and why it has not appeared in my account and have not been responded to. That was 2 weeks ago! (July 2018)

My money is still struck with them

I booked a ticket with them and they even sent me the electronic ticket. Just a few days before my travel they sent me a mail mentioning that due to some technical reasons they cancelled my ticket. I am absolutely in a messy situation to find another ticket just before my travel. I tried to contact them multiple times through your form and but no one is responding. I also tried to call them but the number which they gave on their website is not existing. They messed up my travel and I don't even know how to get back my hard earned money.

Beware they may be cheaper but this is a con

Booking was easy enough (skyscanner), though price had increased by £30 paying by Visa, 'discount' section had changed which was concerning.
Whilst away we had to change our return flight. This was where the trouble started. Unable to contact anyone in customer care by telephone on the weekend as line droped every time, even calls by family within the UK. 24 hours telephone contact is simply a lie.
Spoke with airline directly and they advised as booking made through agent they could not make any amendments.
Email response recieved from Tripsta two days later who advised they were exeperiencing a high level of calls. This was not true as calls would not even connect. To amend return flight his would cost same price as original booking so flew back with alternative agent.
Cancellation refund offered was £45 pp, £1000 spent on original booking. Tripsta advised airline could have amended tickets, advised airline told me they could not. Tripsta advised to call for refund. Unable to get through to them yet again. Emailed to continue with refund. No response, no refund and original flight date has now passed.
Advise anyone to beware, they may be cheaper than airlines directly but this is a sham. Never will deal with this 'agent' again. Worst exepeince i have encountered.

No phone number or support

No phone number or responsive support. Made a mess of My family booking so we ended up travelling separately with children on a 12 hours flight. Avoid at all costs.
