Do not go here- They 'hosed' my computer

'Hosed' my computer when it went in for a very minor overnight repair. Windows had to be reinstalled and all my files were lost. Do not go here.

updated to respond to their response.:- the computer was effected by what Tricorn had done to the extent that all files were lost. It blue screened and was unable to work because of what they had done and Windows had to try and fix it internally and couldn't because of the extent of whatever damage tricorn had done. Nothing to do with windows itself, it did nothing unusual or wrong, but it can only do so much if something has been done to a computer. It's too much of a coincidence that this happened the day after Tricorn had had it when I've never had anything like this happen in thirty years of owning laptops. So I hope people avoid this firm if they want their PC to survive or at least not to lose every single file on their computer. There are other firms people can use so it's not worth the risk .

We’re sorry to read your review and would like to clarify the situation.
We repaired your laptop’s charging port successfully — that was the only issue you originally brought it in for. The following day, the files were lost because Windows was reset through its built-in restore option, which is something you initiated and is unrelated to our hardware repair.
Even though this wasn’t caused by our work, we still reinstalled Windows 11 for you free of charge to get you back up and running. We stand by our repairs and always recommend customers keep backups, as we cannot be responsible for data removed through Windows’ own reset process.

Scammer

He purchased a motherboard from me on ebay, RoyalMail was encountering some delays. I gave him a discount of 30% on it, sent it next day, didn't have the patience to wait and filed a case with ebay, got his money back. 2 days later the board turns up, he says nothing about it, I contact asking for the item back or money, again nothing.

A piece of work, if that's how he deals with small time ebay sellers don't think he won't rip you off.

Superb Laptop Repair Service

Absolutely brilliant..I could not be happier. The lovely gentleman, I didn't get his name, immediately repaired my first laptop a few weeks ago, aswell as retrieving important data for me off another laptop that had also crashed. He then repaired the second laptop .......now it's like new and the cost for everything was sooo reasonable. He even installed windows for free on one of the laptops. I thought i was going to have to buy a new laptop but instead i now have 2 great laptops I really really recommend Tricorn and am so so grateful to them . THANK YOU again. I would give 6 stars out of 5 if I could! Shelpa Patel
