Good customer service after a delay
I live in Estonia. I have a secondhand bike with a trelock lock. A rubber strap for the mount broke (wear & tear) so I emailed (Germany) asking if they sell replacement parts.
Unfortunately it took a couple of months for a reply but I eventually did get one. They were very apologetic, polite and sent me a replacement free of charge. It just arrived in the post and only took a week.
I ordered a key but got the wrong key
I ordered a key but got the wrong key. No problem, can happen. I sent 3 emails en tried to call them 3 times. No reaction. They don't want to answer.
For €90 not good enough
Two stars because it’s been a most frustrating experience. I paid €90 for a 100cm advanced hard “chain” (with key pad , not key) For 90€ I’d expect you have not only engineers designing the lock but also user experience teams actually TESTING it in real life, how would it be for an average person to use it. It is absolutely UNUSABLE. 1) instructions unclear 2) the locking system 100% unintuitive 3) the key pad with the numbers is SO SMALL and hard to turn , it’s a struggle every time I set the code and my fingers literally hurt. I don’t know how people with wide fingers would use it. It’s way too small. This product needs a lot of work and is not worth the price in my opinion. Happy to answer any questions that will help improve it.
Disappointing Experience with Trelock's Key Replacement Service
I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Trelock's key replacement service. Despite their reputation in the bike security industry, my encounter with their customer support and key system has been anything but secure or reliable.
Firstly, the response time from Trelock was painfully slow. It took nearly three weeks of back-and-forth correspondence to even get close to resolving my issue. In a situation where quick access to a replacement key is crucial, this delay is simply unacceptable.
The most disappointing aspect, however, was their ineffective key replacement system. Despite having my key code, which is supposed to ensure a seamless replacement process, Trelock informed me that they could only create a correct copy if I provided a picture of the original key. This is absurd! The whole point of having a key code is to use it in situations where the original key is lost. Expecting a photo of a lost key completely defeats the purpose.
To add to the frustration, their customer service tried to convince me that I had two different types of keys for my bike, which was not the case. It felt like a poor attempt to shift the blame for their system's inadequacy onto me, the customer.
In the end, they offered to refund the money I paid for the useless keys as a gesture of 'goodwill.' However, this does not compensate for the time wasted and the inconvenience caused. It's disappointing to see a company, supposedly specializing in bike security, failing to provide a basic service like key replacement efficiently.
Overall, my experience with Trelock has been extremely poor. A company in charge of something as crucial as bike security should not operate with such inefficiency and unreliability. Their service and key system need significant improvements. Until then, I would not recommend relying on Trelock for your bike security needs.
Trelock products are poor quality.

My bike lock started giving problems after 2½ years. After 2 years the plastic on both of my keys key broke. After 3 years the first key was totally worn out, and the lock started being hard to open sometimes. After 4 years the lock could hardly open anymore.
Bike has always been maintained and stored indoor.
