Fantastic support

I was nervous at first changing over to this multiple platform host!
I am most pleased that I can access person to person support if I have any issues!
The switch is effective with an onboarding personal service, then a dedicated account manager looks after you !
This is exactly what busy hosts want and need !

Double booked

I booked 1 of there places on Airbnb then the day before check in they said it was double booked. I asked for a refund but they said i needed to cancel the booking to start that process, if I had cancelled the booking I wouldnt receive my money back. Awful experience I will never using them again.

The property is super

The property is super. Well furnished with free parking at the front and everything you need provided. In the heart of Saltaire with all its historic charm. Highly recommend it.

Good Location badly managed

The Organisation, Check in and the location was good. But the Flat itself was quiet dirty and the bathroom is realy old. Also the sink in the bathroom was blocked. The beds are ok.

Disgusting flat in Campbeltown

We stayed in Flat A Burnbank Place Campbelltown, PA28 6JD. To start with the place was absolutely filthy.No hot water or WiFi! Bare wires on the light fittings! Yellow stains on the mattress! Black mould around all the windows and cobwebs in corners! I have pictures of them all. I asked booking.com for a refund as it completely ruined our weekend but no that’s not happening. So I’d like to warn anyone who’s looking to book this hovel to steer clear. Yes it’s in a great location but that’s all it’s got going for it.
Thanks Sam and George for nothing..
the weekend was to scatter my mother's ashes in the place she loved but I’m afraid it tainted that for me.

Terrible company

Terrible company! Booked for an overnight stay on booking.com and the company are now forcing me to cancel booking to obtain a refund because they only want 7 day bookings now - basically someone else will pay more so we don’t want your custom! Disgusting way to treat people and will never ever book with these hosts again

Don’t book via this site as they allow…

Don’t book via this site as they allow their holiday “host” property owners to cancel with little to no notice with no explanation no offer to support or compensation. They use bookings.coms website so be aware that you are not dealing with bookings.com directly in all cases. The property owner we booked was Jordan Lucid she advertises multiple caravans so watch out for this name as well.

Beautiful apartment

Everything was great, the apartment is beautiful with a lot of space. The location is perfect, just in the city center.
The only thing I would change is that the second bed is not very comfortable, the mattress is very thin. Also, the wooden floor is a little bit noisy, but I think that gives a special look to the place.
Definitely I would recommend it to anyone that wants to have a good time in Inverness, if someday we go back, we will stay there without a doubt.

As a host- Failures

As a host? No support. They lied to me so many times re the services offered, could be offered, not available. Said they couldn't do, then could. But didn't. At a cost of 25% to me. That's a synopsis of the range of failings I experienced.

Absolutely shocking experience with TravelNest…

Absolutely shocking experience with TravelNest.
Four days before my trip—after I’d already planned a 3-hour journey to attend a festival—they suddenly cancelled my booking. The reason? Apparently the property has been a “private let for 2 years.” How this wasn’t flagged at any point before now is beyond me. It shows a complete lack of basic management and oversight.
What makes this even worse is that on the 29th of March, they messaged me to confirm the booking and said they were “looking forward to hosting me.” So they were clearly happy to take my booking (and money!) and reassure me everything was fine—only to pull the rug out at the last minute.
To make matters worse, the communication has been utterly confusing and contradictory. I’ve received messages saying they’re “trying to get hold of TravelNest”… while the listing and correspondence are clearly from TravelNest themselves. It’s frustrating and frankly absurd.
I’m now left scrambling last minute with almost no decent accommodation options left. Prices have skyrocketed, and everything remotely suitable is either gone or ridiculously overpriced—all because of their incompetence.
On top of that, the refund process is dragging on far longer than it should, adding even more stress to an already stressful situation.
Avoid at all costs. Unreliable, disorganised, and zero accountability when things go wrong.

This situation arose because the owner left their account and listing active without informing us of any long-term let or intention to close. We’ve had no contact from them regarding this, and as the calendar is managed by the owner, we rely on them to keep availability accurate.

As soon as this came to light, we cancelled the booking and have instructed the host to proceed with account closure to prevent this happening again.

We also apologise for the confusion in communication and any delay with your refund.

It's hard to see the benefit of using Travelnest

As a host I have found Travelnest to be useless. The system is supposed to make it easier to list the property on multiple sites but to achieve this, Travelnest have removed a number of options such as setting a maximum length of stay.
The customer support team are hard to contact and the property "expert" team don't appear to offer any real benefit.

Using the travelnest system means you can't access any of the metrics available to a host if you list directly with those sites and Travelnest offer no alternative information.
Recently, Travelnest have altered their terms and conditions to allow them to make changes to listings including price etc to supposedly increase sales. This of course benefits Travelnest but at the expense of the host.
I struggle to find any benefit worth the commission they charge on every booking.
