I wish I could give negative starrs. My 74 year old mother has been waiting roadside for 4 hours after locking her keys in her car. She has been given one excuse after another. One tech said he couldn... See more

The Lord knows no one is perfect
The Lord knows no one is perfect, a large amount of companies sadly in the modern age... has allowed customer service to fall at the waist side... I appreciate the benefits of technology in a well purposed functional way, not to the point of the customer paying the price.. We had payed for our Travelers car insurance policy as first time customers upfront in full.. I have always loved American Family for personal service with the same insurance agent ... Travelers Insurance lost common sense & after speaking to one of their many reps & explaining that the people they were trying to add to our policy were former owners of our home & we did not know them.. not related ect... at the time with my disability I could not go online how they wanted me to... spoke to them & thought it was good ...We missed their letter of cancellation for their mistake & we were out of town... all because they did a online AI search of our address placing people we did not know on our policy It cost us a lot of money with the state & physical challenges for me...to fix.. No apology .. Sadly I will NEVER use them again... & pray companies stop focusing & spending tons of money on creating a image of the original founders & instead live up to the foundation being honest, honorable in their business ethic...which in the long run would do them all better God Bless You all..I hope this helps.. If you have had a good experience & it works for you then Thank you Jesus...Have a blessed Day!!
You won’t believe what Travelers did to me
I have the worst experience with Travelers Auto and feel compelled to let others know how awful they are. I am sure people won’t even believe some of the things they did and lied about, but it’s all true. Driving home from the dealer where I just picked up my car.(2.5 miles driven). Rear ended at a stoplight by a drunk driver. He was arrested and was convicted of OWI. His insurance admitted he was completely at fault. This should be a no brainer as you might think, but it was a nightmare. Geico was at fault drivers insurance, and they quoted my damage at $3200. The body shop quoted $14k! I went and used Travelers to cover it thinking it would be easier. They lowballed me the cost of replacement by over 2k. This means I would still have to pay this much off on my loan, for a totaled car. I provided them with 10 different comparison cars with same mileage, all showing higher valuations than Travelers. The initial message I left them took 6 days for the girl (Rachael M.) to get back to me.when asked why so long, she just said “I was busy”. She tried to brush it off with Geico and just close out the claim as fast as she could to get it off her plate. I found out later that she was set to go on vacation, and couldn’t leave an open case. Then they told me I didn’t have towing/rental/gap on policy. Days and weeks of fighting that, they wrong. They still would pay me what I paid for the car less than 24 hours before the wreck. Stating that the car depreciated. (70% depreciation for 2.5 miles of usage!) finally got them to up their value, but they still refused to pay me my $500 deductible. They absolutely would not waive it, or even agree to pay me once they got it from Geico. To this day, I am still out over $500 for a car that I had for less than 15 minutes, and drove for 2.5 miles. This was a very odd and unique case, but they refused to make any considerations for me. I worked with over 8 people throughout all this, and not a damn one of them asked if I was hurt or ok (I’m not), or to actually say that indeed I should not have to pay a dime due to the OWI conviction, etc. the more I pushed back, the nastier they got. One guy (Noah Damon) literally sent me emails with my name signed to them, that I NEVER WROTE, and was trying to make me send it back as a release of claims. He also lied to me and said that they could not pay me the claim amount until I signed a power of attorney giving them ownership of the totaled car. I said due to all the lies and problems they have already caused me, I was not going to sign the poa until I had gotten the check. Noah in writing said that it was “the law” that I had to sign it first. When I said that my attorney said there wasn’t a law line that, his boss (Ethan Harper) said, ok, well it’s not actually a law in your state, So I guess we can pay you first. Even then they made it as difficult as possible for me to get the money. They said they could use Paypal( I thought it odd) to get the money faster. I asked 4 times for them to give me their PayPal accountand I would request the amount from them. I did not want them to send it to a wrong account and then say too bad, we sent it. Finally they agreed to send $1.00 which I would confirm, and then they would send the balance. Again, this took days. I of course asked for a refund of the policy payment as I had to pay for a full month, and they finally sent me a refund of ~$70 out of ~$157 that I paid. I only was to be charged for 2 days. They said there wasn’t cancellation fees as well as all other reasons to justify them with refunding me less than 50% of what I should have been refunded. They also absolutely refused to waive or return the $500 deductible. Which they should have waived at the start. So, after over 21/2 months. I still am out over $550 for something that was not my fault at all. All because of greed. I told them that they would be getting ALL THIS BACK WHEN THEN WENT AFTER Geico, but they didn’t care. They were just pissed at this pt. I’ll just add it to my medical claim that my attorney is handling, which is going to be much more, as I am permanently maimed due to the accident. All of this could and SHOULD have been avoided, I know Travelers spent so much more on all the employees salaries that worked on this for all this time. Travelers, you need to stop having your employees do sketchy things and try to excuse that behavior by using “loopholes”! Every damn one of them thought they were actually doing
the “right thing”! I’m sure they were all rewarded for saving you money. As we all know, insurance companies are a FOR PROFIT business. It is there business model to pay out as little as possible on claims so they make more money. Don’t ever let them tell you different! Shame shame
This company is absolutely terrible…
This company is absolutely terrible with communication... they took 5 days after my accident to respond to me. They then forgot to tell the tow company to take my vehicle to an auto body shop. This took 5 days. The auto body shop after they came up with an estimate contacted me because Travelers was not responding to them. They said that the estimate had been done for 4 days with no decision. I had to call Travellers and tell them to make a decision. The adjuster lied and said they had not made an estimate. 4 more days later they make a decision to total the car. This took 8 days to make a quick easy decision. I was then ghosted for 3 more days with the offer. Their offer for total loss was 2,000 dollars less than the cheapest replacement vehicle nationwide. I have never had a harder time dealing with an insurance company. This is the way i was treated while I was hit by their client who was driving a semi with a suspended licence.. This is unacceptable.
Travelers insurance is terrible
Travelers insurance is by far the worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with. Where do I begin. Their customer service is completely abysmal. Joyce Jarvis was my claims professional and for months and months she would not return calls, texts, even emails about an active claim we were trying to finalize. So I went to her manager Kyle Collin’s to seek help and after our initial conversation he was clueless to anything concerning the claim. So we setup a date to have a 3 way call to better understand the situation. Crickets. No response, no call, no meeting. Just avoiding their job and responsibilities. I called travelers for help with sewage water leaking under the walls and seeping onto my kitchen floor. For months they stated it will be covered. It wasn’t until after months of me emailing and calling to the point where I had called them until they blocked my number that they finalized the loan to say it was no longer covered sticking me with a restoration bill they so diligently told me to call to complete the necessary work.
Terrible experience, terrible communication, terrible people, terrible company. 0/10.
Wc injury
Wc injury. My company paid 10000 out of pocket. I was going to oc cmed. Xray 4 weeks of pt. Then I found out it was just then being turned over to wc. Travelers asking company why wasn't the injury turned over right away. As soon as travelers got info of surgery needed. It was approved right away . And the 2nd just today. I did no wrong to any aspect of injury. My company did. They pushed issue for no more injuries. They did not want to turn anymore injuries to wc. Fear of being dropped. They were paying out of pocket. If filed correctly outcome to now could be different. But I had to do 4 weeks pt after xray. Before mri regardless. So 3 months with cuff tears. Then mri. Really. Do xray and mri so docs know which way to proceed and the outcome could be sooner to be released to work. And torn cuff fixed sooner and injured worker won't be put thru pain and shouldn't have to be . Process of elimination. Could save money and time no matter which way comes up down the road. 2 surgeries. Torres i never have talked to but seems very professional. Torres is fair. Not bias. Be patient it takes time. They have a job too. So change protocol. Xray and mri 1st. Better for treatment diagnosed better for injured. Instead of xray and 4 weeks of pt. Which gives doctors false diagnosed and lack of doing there jobs. They are unable to approve a mri because of wc protocol of approving mri.
The worst
The worst. Don’t waste time on these idiots. If something gets lost, they will not give anything. It’s a waste!
Don't purchase this insurance!
I will never have this insurance company again! Poor customer service, poor policy, very expensive, harassing mail information and garbage support. Every year they jacked up my rate with no claims. If you need insurance then seek another option.
Good insurance
Travelers insurance has been good so far. I have them on my home and auto. Had a small claim on my vehicle that was taken care of in a timely and professional manner. I would recommend them.
I got a horrible experience and not…
I got a horrible experience and not recommend with this insurance company. Igot a car accident last Jan 30. I claimed on Jan.30 evening. They hold my car with towing company for 3weeks(Jan 30-Jan 19 2026) and send my car bodyshop Jan 19. Wnd they hold again my car to prove repairing for 2weeks(Jan19_Mar 2 2026) again without anything. And than they ask me return the rent car in 5days. Even the body shop told me it takes 2 or 3weeks to fix my car. I requested to extend more days to rent car but, they said no.
Not even my fault. They totally ignored me for more than 1 month and asks me expenses extra.
I live in Florida
I live in Florida. I have been with traverlers insurance company for 4 years in Florida. I was on a cruise and came back and found they had cancelled my policy because they thought I had moved out of Florida. I called them, and they would not renew my policy without me sending them information that they already had.
First claim in my life that's stressful and frustrating experience
This was my first insurance claim in my life after a hit-and-run by someone. The initial call went smoothly, and the representative helped set up the claim and mentioned nearby repair shops I can choose. I was told an adjuster would follow up. While the claim was set up quickly, the process itself turned into a stressful and frustrating experience for me.
When the adjuster contacted me, I was directed to use a specific repair shop, and the information I received was very limited. As a first-time claimant, I believed I had no choice and followed the instructions. Communication felt impersonal, and I didn't fully understand my options.
Only after I had already dropped off my car did I receive a letter explaining that I could choose any repair shop I trust. If I had known this earlier, I would have made a different decision. A shop I trust had estimated about 5 days and around $2,000, while the insurance-recommended shop took about 4 weeks, postponing week after week and cost over $5,000, using all of my rental coverage.
I'm sharing this experience to help others-especially those new to insurance claims-take time to understand your rights and options before making decisions. There is usually no rush, as claims can often be made withing a year.
Constantly raise prices, overcharged us when we switched
We were with them for 7+ years and they constantly raise our home insurance prices, so we switched. They then overcharged us for a month for our automobile insurance when we switched. Have contacted them regarding this multiple times and they say they do not want to go through the paperwork to look it up. Finally filed a report with the BBB.
Rating -100. This company is expensive and greedy!
Rating -100. I canceled my overpriced car insurance at the end of month December, because that’s when my payment is due. Travelers still took out the full monthly payment $250.00, and only reimbursed me $78. They said because my due date is actually the 10th of each month and I cancelled end of month, I still owed them some $ for previous month! Can someone please explain this to me? I feel I’ve been ripped off.
Don't insure your motorcycle with travelers
If you own a motorcycle, get insurance elsewhere. Not worth the savings if you're involved in an accident, even if it's not your fault. They refuse to pay for anything, make up undocumented policies, just make life difficult to get reimbursed for what was damaged, including under valuing your motorcycle and refusing to correct blatant errors in their assessment documentation. They are a scam.
Outrageous lack of professionalism
Outrageous lack of professionalism. I was given conflicting information by several agents, who, when called on it, doubled down and become defensive and aggressive. The senior manager was the worst! It was like reverse customer service, me being polite and logical. Who is running this place?
I could not be more let down by their customer service. Not just bad, offensive.
I had planned to insure my vehicles through them since my homeowner's insurance is through them, but I will close this policy ASAP as I have ZERO faith in this organization. What a shame!
Im sorry but I can tell you good news

Less then 0.1 percent
Less then 0.1 percent - garbage company, treat they’re clients horribly 1 year after the house fire and still no answers, still struggling to get our house rebuilt, lieing to us, threatening us with non renewal - tactic threats caught on email, ignoring us for 2 months at a time, will not cover our rent on time on top of paying a mortgage DO NOT USE THEM. Horrible company horrible people to deal with, lies upon lies, lawyer up and get ready to loose yourself in stress with the incompetent humans. Spend thousands in legal fees and lawsuits, Horribly run company horrible people running the company, completly entitled and useless never ever ever again will I go back once this claim is over. RUN as fast as you can.
Disregard
If I could, I would give it 0 stars for this company. A company that has no respect and treats its customers with disregard. I've been waiting 3 months for my refund check, money that was improperly withdrawn after the policy was already canceled. Nobody gives me any justification or explanation for the delay. They simply say: wait, it's on its way.
Best insurance company!
I’ve bounced around with plants of insurance companies and by far Traveler’s is great! I’m happy with this company and won’t be leaving. Thank you.
Zero stars
Zero stars. I am the Insured. The claims handling is not good. The Adjuster does respond in a timely manner and is careful about wording. The nickle and diming me, the insured, is unreal. They accepted 100% liability on a situation that was actually the fault of the claimant. Passing on the right and speeding are both illegal. Thry ignored both, failed to do an investigation of the actual accident scene which would have made that case. We have video that shows the othr car was speding and passed on the right illegally and still payed the claimant. The adjuster screwed up and then doubled down on his error rather than admit he made a mistake. I haven't needed to use my insurance in the last 10+ years and I can assure you the quality of the investigation process has really gone downhill. Photographing adjusting is substandard and permits underlying claims. Honestly, get an attorney of you need to deal with Travelers.
The authorized repair shop staff is a catch 22. They are kind and professional, but the car sat for a month, estimates of completion date were always off because they're overbooked and understaffed. The shop admits that Travelers forces them to use the least expensive used parts even if the quality isn't on par woth the age/condition of the vehicle. I had to bring back my car due to shody repairs. Shortly after the accident the CV joint where the impact occurred was going and they put up barriers to paying for the repair. They still haven't issues payment.
Lazy, incompetent adjusting seems to be the new norm. I am two months out on this claim and they're still not doing their due diligence. They deserve a complaint to the Insurance Commissioner.
