Bizarre and dubious organisation and business practices !
Highly bizarre and concerning business practices
Travelcart reached out through a Instagram advert as I was intending to book flights to Lagos.
I spoke with a consultant who assured me time and time again that he found a suitable flight for me but he needed my passport details to proceed. I shared with him and then all of a sudden he needs to “confirm something” and he will call me back.
That was the last time I heard from him.
Everytime I called afterwards there was always some reason he couldn’t speak including “on his lunch break” or “unavailable to speak right now” or something or the other. This continued for a period of DAYS if not WEEKS.
Eventually I gave up. Very concerned about what’s being done with my passport details.
Wouldn’t recommend and stay FAR away.

Our WhatsApp correspondence shows that you resumed contact approximately one week after the initial booking discussions. By then, the quoted fare had expired. No payment was received from you, and we subsequently decided not to proceed with the booking.
To clarify your concern about passport information: you supplied your name as it appears on your passport. You did not provide a passport copy or passport number.
We have retained the correspondence documenting this sequence of events and can provide relevant evidence privately to Trustpilot if requested. We ask that your review accurately reflects that correspondence.

These guys are fraudsters.
They lure people in with very cheap prices thru personalised quote. Note that the flight search on their website is only intended to collect your travel details, and then they ask for a deposit to lock in your price.
Once they have your money, the price suddenly increases dramatically when it is time to complete the booking. When you refused to proceed at the inflated price, they refused to refund your deposit.
In all you do with them, never pay in any deposit to lock in your quoted price. it is a scam.

The quoted price required the remaining balance to be paid by the specified deadline. That payment was not received on time, so the original fare expired. The subsequent quote reflected the fare available at that later stage.
Paying a deposit did not remove the deadline for completing payment. The deposit was retained under the non-refundable deposit terms applicable to your booking.
