We have noticed that you frequently place orders for translations from Ukrainian into French without specifying, in the dedicated field, the preferred spelling of names/cities.
As the original documents are written in Cyrillic, names can legitimately be transliterated into French in several different ways. For this reason, many clients use the dedicated comment box to indicate the exact spelling they would like for all important names/cities appearing on their documents.
Without specific instructions regarding preferred spelling, the translator must choose a version. For example, the first name “Sofia” may be written as “Sophia” (with ph) or “Sofiya” (with a y). This is a matter of personal preference. If no indication is provided, the translator will select the most common French transliteration, which is “Sofia.”
Furthermore, once the translation was delivered and you requested corrections, we immediately made the necessary modifications.
To ensure a smoother process in the future, we kindly invite you to write the desired spelling of all names/cities directly in the dedicated field when placing your order. We will strictly follow your instructions.
