The RVR3 I have barely moves and has…

The RVR3 I have barely moves and has about a 15 minute run time before the battery dies. All this I could have dealt with but trying to get the 18' boat & trailer (weight of maybe 2500 pounds) over a slight incline into my garage is impossible. I reached out and was told by Lucas that the short step-up calculates to 14.04 degrees and the unit is only rated to 5 degrees. In other words, unless you have a flat surface from start to finish....this unit is nothing but a 50 pound POS.

Mitchell Ouano and the team at trailer…

Mitchell Ouano and the team at trailer valet in Chino, Ca went way far and beyond to help me with a problem I’d had with a trailer valet that wasn’t mine.
I’d used the wrong charging cord.
Trailer valets aren’t cheap (quality items aren’t and shouldn’t be! )
I can’t begin to express my gratitude for this wonderful team helping me out! Five stars for this place!!!!! Thank you Mitchell and team!!!!

Don't fall for the videos!!!!!

I purchased the Trailer Valet to back in my airstream. The product is very difficult to use, hard on my back and feels dangerous while operating. I burned up two cordless drills backing the trailer in. I reached out to support and was told I was out of luck, the return policy is 30 days from the date of order. I would not recommend this product.

Not recommended

We are pensioners so on the older side of the spectrum, we purchased the Trailer Valet XT and I personally couldn't be more disappointed. It kills your back, it takes a lot of effort turning the handle by hand, it is very restricted on the surface it will barely operate on and using a drill is absolutely useless. We have only had the opportunity to date to try it about 4 times and each time it has been very stressful and unsuccessful wouldn't recommend 😕

This company literally has the worst…

This company literally has the worst customer service of any company I have dealt with. They are AWOL. They use an answering service and Customer Service keeps sending you form answers. I need to order replacement parts. Can I get someone to call me or take my order? NO.

Actually I love my Trailer Valet XL, but what good is it to have a $700 item if I can't get replacement parts. They apparently are all about making the sale, and then "SCREW YOU." when it comes to helping their loyal customers keep the product in working order.

They should be ashamed.

"Stucco Mesh Really Helped"

Works as expected after some trial and error using stucco mesh to improve traction. ( google: 27-in-x-96-in-galvanized-steel-flooring-lath) Our challenge was to move our 3500 lb trailer by pulling it across a grassy area, up and over an incline onto loose gravel which was the goal to have the trailer behind a fence, plugged in with the door able to open. This required pulling the trailer through a narrow opening with 3" to spare on each side. Pulling was required to allow the door to the trailer to open. The largest challenge was maintaining traction for the tires, across a combination of slippery grass, dirt and loose gravel. Our solution was a 24" wide stucco mesh 5' long. Once we had the stucco mesh positioned under the dual wheels they did not spinout. This allowed other difficulties such as maintaining an up right position and use of a battery powered drill to move the trailer safely exactly and carefully to where we wanted it.

Not effective on uneven surfaces

I have a Winnebago Micro Mini bumper pull trailer that weighs 3280 lbs (dry weight). I purchased the XL because there was no room on the trailer tongue to install a (5X) mounting bracket. The first time I used it, I moved the trailer from the street to my driveway. It was moving fine until the trailer tires got to the driveway apron, the transition from the roadway to the sidewalk. For reference, this is a standard city curb ramp that could easily be negotiated in a wheelchair. I was partially blocking the street, so I continued to turn the hand crank, but it was not moving, and I only succeeded in shredding the tire. It wasn’t until I enlisted the help of two people that helped push the trailer that I could get it into the driveway and out of the road.

I contacted support and was told that their equipment is not recommended for use on inclines, and because the trailer is very light, the tire would not be able to get traction, and I should’ve bought the 5X.

The Trailer Valet XL works great on perfectly flat surfaces, such as a concrete floor in a warehouse. Still, under these perfect conditions, you should save money and buy a $60 two-wheeled dolly because spending almost $900 for equipment that cannot navigate the slightest cracks in a driveway is a waste of money.

In addition, please ensure the base connector is securely attached, and the coupling plate is tightly fastened against the hitch receiver; if it slips out in motion, it could fall and crush your legs. I use a rubber mallet to pound the spanner wrench and tighten the ball base as much as possible, but it is still wobbly and feels unsafe.

I did a lot of research before purchasing, and I feel their ads were misleading. Also, the tire was ruined after the first use, so after reaching out to Trailer Valet Support, I would expect to be told how to replace the tire, but that didn’t happen.

I don’t usually write reviews, but in this case, I deemed it necessary to warn potential buyers.

Thanks!

I purchased the trailer valet jx side…

I purchased the trailer valet jx side mount with a wheel for my tracker boat. The bolts and nuts are flush when installed and I can't engage the jack when lowering it because the long shaft and the large wheel. Went online to buy the plate to see if it gets me a few inches extra of space. Got in contact with customer service to see if they sold longer bolts. Didn't want to help whatever and gave no solutions or advice.

This trailer valet has a major design flaw, it does not stay in the upright position under stress. The wheel will start moving out from under the ball coupling pretty soon after 1 or 2 feet of movement the trailer valet will be at 45 degree angle. I do not recommend this product. To anyone. I gave followed the directions and watched multiple videos thing I may do doing something wrong.

STAY AWAY- DO NOT BUY

STAY AWAY- DO NOT BUY

The RVR12 does not have the same tread as the smaller machines and struggles to gain traction on finished concrete and wet unfinished concrete (driveways.) As you will read in other reviews, they are very quick to accept a return for their poor quality machine. However, they charge you shipping return shipping as well as initial shipping. Additionally, I was delivered a faulty remote and they told me it would be $900 for a new one. It all seems a little scammy. I filed fraud on my CC and have returned the machine. I paid for return shipping but amex refunded the entire purchase price. BEWARE!!

Short Version

Short Version: Like many things about towing in the US, don't trust the maximum specification: the 5X is said to be good to #500 tongue weight, but it's not. The side-mount bracket is not strong enough for the torque, the back brackets that saddle the tongue bend, the lift tube flexes, the screw jack has too much friction, the tires are squashed. It's just not up to it, especially after a couple years of occasional use.

Time to do the right thing

I am writing this review not because I don't like my Trailer Valet but because my product will not work with the drill socket adaptor. Upon purchasing the adaptor I found it would not fit onto the drive shaft so I returned it and order another from a different vendor. To my suprise the same problem existed. Upon further examination I found only one drive shaft fit the drill adaptor and the other were slightly over sized. Upon contacting Trailer Valet they request photos and videl of the problem which I supplied. The end result was they refused to honor the warranty because I did not purchase the unit from an authorized dealer. There is no mention in the warranty that only authorized dealers were covered by the warranty. There is no question the unit was built out of spec. The only question is whether or not Trailer Valet will stand behind their warranty.

Big disappointment

Disappointment number 1. I bought a Trailer Valet JX side mount drill powered jack and it came without a mounting bracket. After serveral emails back and forth I gave up. I did find a bracket at a surplus store and installed the jack. Disappointment number 2. Can find a drill that has enough power to lift my trailer. I can smell the drills burning up because of the load. I'm taking about a weight of about 500 lbs. Disappointment number 3. Gear box not sealed at all from the elements. Don't expect this jack to last very long and still hand cranking. Could have bought a better built hand crank jack half the price.

I have the Trailer Valet 5X

I have the Trailer Valet 5X, which I was originally pleased with. After the second use, though, the axle came loose. Fortunately it was in my driveway so I was able to put it all back together. I tightened it up and just figured maybe it was loose from the factory. Well, 2 trips later (unfortunately now outside of warranty) and the axle fell out again. This time it was while on a 180 mile round trip. I lost the entire axle assembly and one of the wheels, tires and tube. Now Trailer Valet wants me to purchase the replacement parts. I did an internet search and found that this is a known problem for Trailer Valet so they changed the engineering of the axle assembly. But, I have to purchase the replacement parts for their engineering screw up. A $500 trailer jack should have better manufacturer support post sale.

The Trailer Valet XL is a worthless…

The Trailer Valet XL is a worthless piece of junk. It simply doesn't work. I have a small trailer (max 6k pounds) and this is suppose to move a trailer over 10k pounds. It'll move it 2-3 inches and that is with very hard work and it killed my back. I does not work any where near what they claim on their video. Now I have a piece of metal sitting in my garage. DO NOT BUY.

This was a refurbished unit I bought

This was a refurbished unit I bought. The box was used and battered, the valet itself was sitting on top of the small amount of packing that had been used. This all made for a very poor first impression, considering the amount of money spent to buy it. The owners manual was a photo copy of an older version, not the one currently available on website.

After "...wondering what did I buy?". I found the unit was not damaged and it works very well. You do need a heavy duty drill motor to power it. No complaints once it was in use.
