This company is highly unethical

This company auto-renewed a $500 subscription without my consent, failed to notify me via email, and charged an expired credit card.

May 10, 2024: I purchased their software for $500. I used it for two weeks but found it slow, clunky, and unreliable. Analysis often failed or had to be restarted, wasting days at a time. I stopped using it and moved on.

May 10, 2025: They charged my card $500.

May 13, 2025: I noticed the charge. I had forgotten about the product entirely. I immediately emailed them to say:

- I wasn’t aware this was a subscription
- I didn’t want a renewal
- My card had expired two months earlier
- I wanted a refund

I received no reply.

May 14, 2025: I sent a second email, giving them 24 hours before I’d dispute the charge with my bank as fraud. Still no response.

May 15, 2025: I contacted “i3Lux” on Discord (the only other contact method on their website). He asked for my email address, then went silent.

May 16, 2025: He finally responded with a screenshot of an email he claimed was sent. I never received it. He then blamed my email for the issue, claiming I had a setup problem, even though I’ve had no issues receiving emails from any other source.

- The only email I’ve ever received from this company was my original receipt in 2024.

Instead of issuing a refund, he offered to “pause” my renewed subscription until a new version was released, something I never wanted or asked for.

When I declined and again requested a refund, he acknowledged the problem by saying:

“I am very surprised that an expired card could have been charged. This I would for sure raise with the credit card company as a concern if I were you.”

He then doubled down:

“Yes, that’s a question to your credit card company... Very good question.”
“Please get in touch with your credit card company to enquire why it was possible to charge an expired card.”

Even after three separate acknowledgments that the charge was questionable, they refused to refund me.

When I warned that I would be sharing this experience publicly to warn others, they threatened legal action, claiming I was “harming a small business.”

They then:

- Banned me from their Discord server
- Removed my comments from multiple YouTube channels
- Downvoted my Reddit posts to hide them

❗️ I was unaware this was a subscription
❗️ I did not receive a renewal reminder or a receipt
❗️ My card was expired
❗️ I contacted them within 3 days
❗️ I was banned and silenced for asking for a refund
❗️ They admitted the charge shouldn’t have gone through
❗️ They still kept the money

This is not how ethical businesses treat customers.

🚩 Additional Warning:
The company’s product is a side-loaded Chrome extension, distributed via ZIP file, not through the Chrome Web Store. This method bypasses Google’s policies and allows them to push updates outside normal safety checks. They also admitted to intentionally circumventing protections put in place by TradingView to block this tool, which raises serious concerns about the legitimacy and long-term stability of the product.

Further research showed they claim to operate as “TradingTools.Software LLC,” but I can find no record of an LLC registered in Washington or any U.S. state, and they use a residential address to receive payments.

I have filed complaints with:

- My card issuer
- Stripe
- FTC
- BBB
- Washington State Attorney General
- Department of Revenue
- Consumer protection watchdogs

Follow-up to their expected denial:

They continue to deflect responsibility by stating:

“Why it was possible to charge your outdated credit card has to be answered by your bank, not by us.”

That’s like saying:

“Why it was possible to jump into your car and drive off is up to the person who left the keys inside, not the one who took it.”

Consent is not implied by technical loopholes. Their refusal to refund, even after admitting this, shows intentional exploitation, not an honest mistake.

If you value transparency, ethics, or customer respect, avoid this company.

Dear Philip
You subscribed 12 months ago to our services and did not cancel your subscription at any point in time. We have sent you a reminder one week ahead of the renewal. We replied to your E-Mails but you stated via Discord that you never received any E-Mail from us. Maybe it‘s time to check your Spam folder or E-Mail set-up in general?
As per our terms and conditions all sales are final. We offered you to pause your license until we have a new version out.
You called us a fraud for charging you as agreed by you for a subscription you concluded. To this we replied „Please be careful with false accusations, as this is as explained not fraud. You might face legal actions and be forced to remove comments.“
Why it was possible to charge your outdated credit card, has to be answered by your bank, not by us.
This client is unfortunately unable to understand that by subscribing to a service one gets a service and owes money for it. The credit card being outdated has as such nothing to do with the debt being incurred. This means even though the card is no longer valid the debt due to the subscription did not vanish.
You are the very first customer which is not satisfied. We are sure there won‘t be any other like you.
All the best.
