Same happened to me!!

Same happened to me!!! A about a week and a half ago my mom's van didn't want to go forward or backwards! It was around eight in the night! Googled a local tow truck and this website appeared . Was told to pay upfront . That it would take 45 minutes. Kept calling and nothing. I decided call a local one better. That showed up within one hour. All of a sudden the first tow truck appears. I was mad and told the first tow truck another one was on the way. Then get sent a message I would get half of was charged refunded. Still haven't got it.

This company is a third party towing…

This company is a third party towing company. They will give your information to another company and scam you out your money and play dumb. I needed A tow the other day and they sent my number to a company i never reached out to, i was then told to pay upfront which was weird but it was 4:30am and i was Panicking to get home. The tow truck never came to get the car and my $300 was never returned to my account. They will ghost you and the Townearby will lie and play dumb and try and scam you more out of your money. Don’t use them at all you’re better off calling AAA.

I would give this “company” (scam is…

I would give this “company” (scam is more apt) negative stars if I could. They tried to make me pay $1076 for a long distance tow and wanted half of the payment upfront. I wanted to check for competitive pricing and called the very next Google results company and it turned out that this was the legit company this scam “company” called to try to set up my tow. The legit company asked for $800. And I could pay an invoice AFTER the services were rended.

Last night at 2 am I had a tire blow…

Last night at 2 am I had a tire blow out on the highway, I had a spare and tools to get the tire off but no jack with me. I called a friend of mine to help but it was so late I thought he was for sure asleep. I decided to call townearby and got a tow booked, with the driver over an hour out. 5 minutes after I got off the phone with them my friend called me, said he would get out of bed and drive out. I called to cancel the tow, literally 5 minutes after I booked and they said they could only give me half my money back about 100 dollars. No way to talk to any customer service, just indian call centers. Website is all fake reviews, There is no way I shouldn't be able to get a full refund from this service. These people prey on you in emergencies. Don't not call them

Complete scam!!

Complete scam!!! Exactly what all the reviews say. They made us wait for over 2hrs on the side of the road. I called them repeatedly to ask about the tow truck and they kept bullshitting me around. I told them that I would issue a refund on my card and she all of a sudden changed her tone and said they will give me a full refund and that they don’t need my money. If I don’t see a refund I will be issuing a fraud refund with my card company and will contact BBB. Let’s see what they do! But this place is beyond unethical. If I don’t get my money back or get charged further, there will be a VERY high price to pay

If I could give them a zero I would

If I could give them a zero I would. Made my boyfriend keep waiting for three hours on the side of the road. Kept saying 30 minutes longer and it wasn't. Made him pay $299 upfront. It's a straight scam, never use this business. Every person that answered my call was indian.

Seems like bait and switch tactics

After we tried getting a tow truck, they couldn't tell us who was going to get us and told us it would be, "30 min to 60 min" and $623 for the service. After an hour of waiting they called us back and told us that we would need to pay an additional $80 on top and would need to wait another 70-80 minutes for the truck. I refused to pay an additional $80 for a service we had already paid for and explained i was upset about the further delay. They put me on hold and came back and asked for $40 instead. I again declined. I explained I was upset and would go with another company. They said that if we cancelled they would charge us a "50%-100% cancellation fee". It seemed to me that this was classic bait-and-switch tactics. I threatened to execute a charge-back with my credit card company and they backed off. I cancelled their service and called a tow company directly. When I attempted to cancel they threatened to charge me $350 and when I told them no they threatened to charge me $90 for "processing fees." Again I told them I would be forced to initiate a dispute with my credit card company. They backed off after that and said they would issue a full refund.

I ended up calling the tow company they were trying to contract for us. Turns out this online company had been trying to down charge the tow company too. Playing both ends and losing both. The tow company told them they wouldn't work with them anymore. Neither will I. The tow company sent a truck to me within 40 minutes and charged me $200 less than the online townearby.com company was trying to charge.
