Money Grab

This company has horrible practices! They made bag check a mandatory additional fee yet it was literally just tables everybody dropped their belongings on top (and underneath) that was basically unattended because everyone had access to everyone’s belongings and only one tough mudder was standing at the entrance which couldn’t properly supervise the entire area, especially due to the large space and the amount of people in the area at once. Literally anything could’ve been stolen. Also, if you pay for a photo package, it’s pointless because the photographers are only near the end of the 10+ mile run, this should be informed prior to purchase. Also, I didn’t receive any pictures and they refuse to refund me. Don’t waste your money with this company

I've enjoyed the tough mudder…

I've enjoyed the tough mudder previously. Sure it has its flaws, but everything does. However, this year they required EVERYONE to purchase a bag drop ticket and a parking pass. They pretend to promote a team spirit, but don't provide any incentive to build a team. Plus they hiked the price to the point the day-to-day working people can't afford to participate anymore. When did fitness become a rich people's pastime?

Oh, and you better check your bank statement. They sneak in some bogus membership scam with Active and try to tack on another $100 charge. You have to wend your way through their website (not the tough mudder site) to opt out. This is a company out for money, and it seems like they're willing to snatch it out of your pocket any way they can get it!

Great obstacles, great company!

I have done multiple events in a couple different venues and this company never fails to impress me! There are a great variety of obstacles at each event and they are all well-built and safe. The staff and volunteers are very helpful and knowledgeable about the course, obstacles, and merchandise.
