Awful Customer Service and Germination Rate.

I purchased Kale seed pack. 2 out of 30 germinated. They basically told me nothing we can do. Plant more and see what happens? They said they were 86% germination rate. Do the math. Rude on phone also. Never again. There are great seed companies out there. This is the worst I've ever dealt with.

I ordered pumpkin and gourd seeds from…

I ordered pumpkin and gourd seeds from Jung seed. as I had always thought theyvwere a good company and had quite a variety of seeds. We planted all of our seeds, as well as seeds from other companies. 20% of the Jung seeds germinated...I called the company to tell them, and was handed over to a very arrogant young man who insisted that my husband and I did not know how or when to plant our seeds. He offered nothing in a replacement. I asked for nothing. Just wanted them to know what had happened. We have been gardening for 45 years. Just saying.......

Did not germinate.

The Pick A Bushel cucumber seeds and the Robust yellow popcorn seeds I ordered did not germinate. Not one seed of either germinated. I had a few left over and I tried to start them in the greenhouse. Nothing, not a one germinated.

100% failure rate

The people are mean and defensive. I bought several dozen trees/plants from various venders. 100% of purchases from Jungseed failed. A plumb tree failed from all the other venders combined but Jung seed says improper care is to blame and my arborist (which they put in quotes) is incompetent. The arborist says it looks like they had some disease outbreak at their nursery and sold them anyway. I lost a hundred bucks or so but I get the impression they’re sinking and will fight over it so…. You can buy all the same flora elsewhere at the same price without the risk…or problems.

Inaccurate description of over priced plants, unresponsive customer service

After buying seeds from Jung for years with good results for the most part, I purchased three perennials which were described as crowns shipped in 3" pots. They were more expensive than several other sources but I trusted Jung so ordered from them, despite the rather high shipping cost. What arrived was a very small box with three dinky plastic bags containing a few thready roots in each. No pots, no crowns. Attempts to contact them through their customer service page and email was unsuccessful. I tried several times, asked for replacements, even sent photos and got zero response. A bad plant is one thing, bad customer service another and that's worse. I'm very disappointed to have been deceived by an inaccurate description and overcharged for such inferior material. Two stars is based on past purchases. This transaction deserves no stars.

This has been a funny year for all

This has been a funny year for all. My neighbor got Tomatillos instead of Ground Cherries from a family nursery and I got some kind of a pole bean that is for dry beans not yellow beans from you, and I got all yellow Zinnia instead of a mix of color from you. It doesn't matter to me I just thought it was funny. In northeast Iowa we had a major drought, major wind that blew our corn down flat and a record flood that was 18 feet over flood stage in 5 days time on our farm. We brought the cows home from the woods pasture at 11:00 PM because the river came up so fast because the towns north got 13 inchs of rain. The cows are amazing because they always have their calf beside them as they walk home in the flood water from the woods. Some people could us a lesson from the cows Thanks for listening. I got green beans from the neighbor and she got ground cherries from me. I think your Company is great I don't know why other people buy the cheap seeds. Thanks Packman Broccoli, Amazing Cauliflower,Amish Pasta tomatoes, Megaton cabbage, Stonehead Cabbage that makes for perfect sauerkraut and a great assortment of peppers that really yield are the best Sour

Just a bad experience.

The whole experience was extremely poor. There were shipping delays that were not posted on the website when I ordered, it was challenging to get anyone on the phone, and at least three emails went unreplied to. When I finally got a hold of someone, they weren't very helpful. Also, some of the items I ordered did not match the description on the website. Overall it was an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience.

Pak Choy Seeds Went Straight To Bolt

I ordered Pak Choy seeds and they went straight to bolt. When I called customer service they told me it was due to the weather. I’ve grown it for 3 years prior, planting seeds at different times, and it grew fine. They did not offer a refund, just a “tough luck” attitude. I will order Bok Choy from Gurney’s and hope that they will have Pak Choy in the future.

Over priced and under sized plants!

Over priced and under sized plants!
I was excited to receive my order - however, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment as I unpacked the delivery. The "tree" was essentially a twig and a month later has not given any indication of being viable. For the prices I paid, I could have gotten much larger spireas and heucheras locally. I have learned my lesson and will not order nursery items in the future.

Deeply disappointed in Jung Seeds. 50-75% of seeds did not produce. Plants arriving live also did not continue to grow at approximately the same rate. Upon calling to complain told I could receive a coupon toward next purchase but no refund. Will NOT purchase from this company again and advise against anyone else doing so.

Do not know how to ship live plants!

I ordered 2 poplar trees. Jung sent them Fed Ex smart post, a merger between Fed Ex and USPS that created the slowest delivery service in the USA. And i have seen them all. My trees have been in shipment now for 11 days and there is an expected delivery in three more days bringing it to 14 days total! AWFUL service and terrible way to ship live plants! DO NOT USE!

Shipped Plants Way Too Early

You would think a plant purveyor based in Wisconsin would know better than to ship live basil plants to Northern NJ arriving April 1st. That’s six weeks before basil can be planted outside in Zone 6, and keeping basil alive inside for that length of time is nearly impossible. Three of my four plants have died and I doubt the fourth will make it until it’s safe to plant outside. This is such an egregious mistake it makes me wonder about Jung’s competence.

Takes for ever to get your seeds and plants. Last time I got my cool season plants during the hot season, so I couldn't even plant them.
They desperately need to hire more people, I know the company makes tons of money so they can afford to hire more people. they are losing a lot of business due to their poor business practices.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.
Ordered a unique variety of redbud in late January and Jungseed took my money, but never said the tree was backorderd or delayed. The correct planting time for our area (by end of February at latest) came and went. After they put me off a few times via email, I finally asked for a refund (it was in the 80s most days here). The day they got that email, they said they finally shipped our tree (interesting timing- it was the reply to a refund request). However, the "tree" was a tiny bare root that had broken in half during shipping. Could not save it. Plus, it's way too warm to plant bare root trees here. Emailed them, but no reply. We are so disappointed and feel we've been robbed.

Bought $600 worth of products and it was extremely disappointing. Most trees were less than 12 inches tall and delivery was sporadic. There was no heads up! I asked to replace a single tree out of the order and was turned down. A single literal twig that came in dry!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. UNGRATEFUL AND ONLY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF CONSUMERS.

45 years of wonderful products/service

My father told me about Jung 45 years ago. I have landscaped my entire yard with lovely perennials and have a bountiful orchard - all from Jung. I continue to buy their products as they all grow - especially in my northern climate. two thumbs up to Jung.

RIP OFF, Garbage plants and RUDE service.

They USED to be a decent place to buy from. I pre-ordered SETS of trees. 3 Cherry and 2 Plum. Also 5 Florabundas. Planned my garden accordingly. I received 2 of the Cherry. Missing was the pollinator !!!
I received ONE plum ! also missing the pollinator !
Of the 5 roses one was missing and the rest pretty much dead. When I called the lady was VERY rude, didnt not want to listen to the issues. Down right snotty. When I asked why when I PRE ordered I didnt get my pollinators... FIRST she said it was due to Covid. Huh? THEN she said, no it was due to a computer glitch they must have had on of course the day I ordered. When I asked why my receipt said REFUNDED and yet I never got a refund she said... Oh, you have to call us and ASK for a refund. What? Yes, if you dont call and ask we dont refund. So WHY did my papers say refunded I ask? She told me if I continued to be such a pain she would put on hold and not `talk to me anymore. REALLY? So am I getting a refund I ask? Well, EVENTUALLY. She says. What? well maybe by fall she says. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Maybe? By fall? I never got that refund. DONT bother with this garbage company with garbage plants and even worse employees.

Don’t trust their starts

Ordered several starts for strawberries and several types of flowers. All of them arrived in such poor condition, they might as well have been dead. Emails to resolve the issue have gone unanswered.

Will never order from them again.
