I like this company they make fine sounds but now that I had to buy a new Mac with the latest version of Tahoe .They tell me that I can not transfer my Superior drums 2 or my expansions or anything else. They have dis continual Superior 2.If you have the money for the upgrade fine.I like Superior 2 it took me a long time to fine tune my drum sets. Now with Superior 3 you will need lots of money, Ram, plus 4 TB of space at least Its overwhelming.I have been with many great companies and they don't force you to upgrade. This is a scam.
I recently purchased sd3 and my Roland td 15 module is not showing up in sd3, so I sent an email a few times and only got a response of could be your module output or a driver and that’s pretty much it! I said I expected it to work just as their promo videos show! It’s supposed to work with the td 15, but now they are not responding! Extremely poor support and disappointing after spending almost $500.00 Canadian! I can’t use my Roland kit now with sd3 which is why I purchased sd3!
I love Superior Drummer 3, it can sound great if you truly know what you're doing on a mixer. If you're not an engineering semi-genius XLN's Addictive Drums will always sound better (ie mix-ready) because Toontrack do not provide master-level templates for their SD3 expansions. Big mistake IMO. Another sizeable complaint I have with TT is they do not provide manuals with their expansions, annoying when you need a printable readout to help you create a complex configuration of drums. Finally, their Support is very basic, they seem aloof and uncaring. You get ungenial, cryptic emails which don't inspire much confidence. So there you go: a rather arrogant outfit who seem to think they're kinda Superior to the rest of us mere mortals, little bit sad when their plugs are really quite good. I started out with 3 stars but I'm upping it to 4, c'mon Toontrack, you can do better.
Absolute top shelf products and very good customer service. I couldn't believe the reviews I was reading on here. The thing to keep in mind is that their products won't make you a better musician, only you can do that. If your track aren't sounding good, it isn't because of Toontrack. EVERYTHING is solid. I have been a recording musician for the last 45 years, and Toontrack has made it possible to make a major label record out of your home, but you must have at least "some" talent. Usually the folks who whine the most are the most amateur. This company gives you the tools you need, and the sound quality is stunning.
The customer support, might take a day or so, but now days, most do. The support staff is very knowledgeable, and actually cares about solving your issue (they doubled back with me to make sure all was still well). I don't write many reviews, but I was shocked at the rating for these guys. Do yourself a favor, go on YouTube and listed to other professionals that use these instruments.
I contacted them about their incredibly slow servers asking if they had an alternative way to download the massive Superior Drummer sound library and they told me to make sure I was hooked up to the modem using an ethernet cable and to maybe contact my ISP. I am fully aware that this issue is not on my end. I am running a gigabyte Google Fiber connection and I'm already hooked up through a Cat6 Ethernet cable. I promise that I am capable of more than 1.5mb/s Download speeds. I will likely be refunding this $400 purchase assuming I can even get the support I need to do that.
I Paid 250 for their shi*errior drummer 3, which is totally broken. some sounds are playing, some NOT!!! BE AWARE, TRASH
It costs £15 to transfer ownership of EZ Drummer to someone else. What a scam.
I purchased EZdrummer and 6 add-ons over 7 weeks ago. Due to a space issue on my startup HD it doesn't fit. So, I have been trying to reroute it to the storage HD. 51 e-mails and near 2months later I still can not use the product. Customer service is the worst. Every time I send then a message they ask for something I've already sent them and it takes days for them to reply. They got my money and so now I can just F off.
I love this company
I'm reading rubbish about them.
Ez drummer 3 is awesome and all the other products.
I've written great music with toontracks
Have you seen the hard work these guys go too to give to us
Please don't sabotage the good people do.
Ez keys 2 on 16th may
It's fabulous
10/10
I keep receiving emails from this company asking to confirm my account, unsubscribe. I have never used toon track and I’m still unaware of what this company is about. These are scam emails. Please beware and do not open
The product is excellent. Customer service is extremely lacking. They did not honor an advertised discount for a previous product. I had the original receipt but keep asking for additional information one piece at a time. In the end they said it wasn't there problem but a third party vendor. Very disappointing.
Be very careful buying from this company, if you come to find the software you just bought is broken they certainly don't like doing the decent thing and giving the money back.
Their refund policy says that if you download the software then you can no longer get any refunds (which was their initial response to me). In my case, the software was not working and they still won't give me a refund. I have been back and forth with the for a whole week having to jump through hoops while they avoid my request for a fair refund.
They also don't offer trial periods to test the software first. so there is no way of knowing what issues you will have without crossing their terms of service and downloading it.
I will update if this changes but thus far they are being a nightmare to deal with in this respect.
Update: Customer service continued to lead me on for a few more days until I found their office telephone number online, I made a few call trying to get hold of a manager, eventually a manager said they would call me back by the end of the day.. They didn't call me back but 15 mins after their offices closed I received an email saying they will finally refund my purchases. Although to get my money back in full took 3 weeks.
In short, this is some of the worst customer service id received, they didn't seem to really care how much they had messed me about with zero apologies and no sense of urgency to correct the problems. Go elsewhere id say, much better options floating about.
