Dismayed But Not Tricked

I too am dismayed at the declining experience with the USPS. I recently mailed a light weight, thin, 6x10 padded envelope. It cost $10 and took almost 3 weeks to go from Oregon to California.
HOWEVER, for those who may be unaware, the USPS has been slowed by decisions of political appointees, so slower deliveries will now be standard, not to mention more expensive. Issues with slow tracking are due to the decision to not begin the tracking process until the package gets to a regional office, which can take days.
What was once the most reliable, reasonably priced mail service around is being systematically ruined. Price hikes are making mailing even small items unaffordable for many.
You would think that our USPS is targeted for ruination. I wonder who would want that done? A competitor perhaps? Others who covet the potential earnings?
Loosing a national mail service would be insane. Allowing the mail to fall into a purely capitalistic business is highly risky. In my personal view, we are better off to correct the mismanagement or "dysmanagement" and keep one of the crown jewels of the US for future generations.

slow, but *mostly* accurate.

been tracking an order with shop app all day, the map said it was already on its way to me but the USPS tracker said it was at a previous location. Not much of a big deal but certainly confusing.

I got a notification yesterday that my package had been delivered. I questioned the mail carrier about it and she said she didn't have it and that they had a pallet full of packages still at the post office and that it would probably be delivered today. It still didn't come today.

I paid extra for a package to be delivered within 3 days. Its been almost a month now and still not delivered. I have the tracking number. There was an issue with the label but I and the recipient have called numerous times to tell them where to deliver this package. How stupid can anyone be? Apparently very. This is Sanford and Orlando in case you are wondering. I have called, filed complaints. No one does a thing.

Help our community

I am writing to express my extreme frustration with the Lakeville Post Office. This isn't the first time they've been belligerent and treated my mail with complete disregard. My latest issue involves a package that was marked as 'delivered' but was nowhere to be found.
After I contacted USPS customer service (844-637-1509), an investigation was opened. I received an email from Supervisor Taramattie Hay confirming that the package was indeed misdelivered and is now considered irretrievable. The carrier went back but could not find it, and there is seemingly no accountability for the person who received my package by mistake.
To add insult to injury, I was told that because the package was not insured, I cannot be reimbursed, and the burden falls on me to contact the merchant for a reshipment or refund. This is absolutely unacceptable. The post office made the error, yet they take zero responsibility for it. This isn't just about a missing package; it's about a complete failure of service and a lack of accountability. Lakeville Post Office needs to do better.
Please help our community.

Constantly missing packages

Constantly missing packages, having mail marked as delivered never to be seen, packages marked as next day delivery is not next day but 3+ days.
Extremely poor customer service from service desk and the postmaster. They almost never answer the phone. Communication doesn't exist. Skowhegan ME post office.

My medicine supposedly shipped from Turkey to the US on 7/29/25. Here we are over 10 days later and I still can't get into tracking status.

Horrible post office

Horrible post office. We get our neighbor’s mail repeatedly, as well as mail from other streets in our neighborhood with similar house numbers.

Frequently, packages are deemed delivered through the USPS digital mail system, yet they take days to arrive at our home. Three packages in the last two years never showed up.

Needs to be closed, which is sad to say about your local post office, but it’s the truth.

I lives in Vestavia Hills AL 35216. Our current mail person has truly screwed up majorly, between 3 out of 5 houses. On Old Creek Trail. My Nextdoor neighbor had *FOUR* packages of mine, the same neighbor had an important letter that was put in her mailbox that should have been put in a house 5 houses past hers! My mailbox usually only puts 'garbage' in my mine.
This has happened several times. My closest neighbor & myself have had our mail in the wrong boxes several times as well!!! THIS IS INEXCUSABLE 📭📬📪

Usps is unreliable and has zero phone/online human customer service

I will never use usps again for anything. After my last 2 day priority box got stuck at a horrible distribution center in Ybor city Florida I swore to never send usps again. I made the mistake by sending another 2 day priority box to my daughter on Jan 2nd and today is the 14th and it says its still in Ybor city distribution ceneter. The postal workers at my local usps gave me no more information than what i could find myself online and said I could file for missing box after 30 days. I have tried to contact a usps human via phone which is impossible. I thought I was on hold waiting to speak to one today. Said my waitime was 29 minutes. After 44 I was redirected to take a survey and never had the opportunity to speak to a human. I have been stuck in the auto teller numerous times which is so frustrating. Usps is Unreliable and when you have an issue there is nobody to help you. I have also sent 2 emails to usps and have had zero response/contact feom them. Usps has zero customer service unless you go to ur local office and even then they are no help to me. Never again will usps get my money and I do hope my 2 day priority package finds its was to my daughter since it had time sensitive material in it.

First package from UK to Pittsburgh USA ended up in Puerto Rico. 2nd package says addressee moved with no forwarding address when in fact she hasnt and was watching from veranda when post man apparently tried to deliver package but managed to deliver rest of her mail that day. 2nd package apparently now on way back to UK. Useless company..
