A warm welcome awaits you at Tom Coll
I called into Tom Coll Jewellery in Glasgow yesterday after seeing a beautiful watch on the website. I had already spoken to Ash on the phone who was very helpful and friendly and encouraged me to call into see what was on offer as the watch I had enquired about had just been sold.
When I arrived, another customer was just leaving and I was greeted by Steven, whom I later discovered is the Managing Director of the company. He was very friendly and courteous and I had a look around the shop until he was ready to attend to me. In that moment I was approached by a lovely young man called Ben who asked if he could help me. I explained why I had come and he took me to the watch I was interested in and told me that Ash was on her day off! He told me all about the watch and we engaged in conversation around it. Just then, Steven came forward and from that moment the three of us chatted and I was aware of the warmth and friendliness of both and of how much they were interested in getting me the right product. We shared a few laughs as we went and eventually I settle on the watch I had come into buy.
Young Ben then offered me a seat as well as a tea or coffee while he took the watch to have the links removed to make sure it was a perfect fit. Steven then joined me again and from his conversation I could tell the reason I was feeling so comfortable was from him and the way he interacted not just with me but with Ben. He introduced me to Michael who is Head of the workshop and a nicer man you'll never meet. He was really lovely and interested in why I was there. Typical banter in Glasgow, we had a few light hearted jokes and then Ben came back with the watch and we completed the paperwork. I was a very happy shopper at this point and was delighted with my purchase. Sadly, to get clearance on the purchase, I had to hang on for twenty minutes before my bank answered and authorised the purchase which had been blocked because of the amount! Ben was ultra patient, more so than me, but we got there in the end.
I would say that if you are hoping to buy any piece of quality jewellery or have something specially designed, you should come to this place. People will receive a warm welcome from highly knowledgeable, experienced staff who just can't do enough to assist.
I entered as a stranger and felt I had left as a friend and I will not hesitate to come back to this organisation where I know I will receive first class service, brilliant advice, a friendly warmth and a brilliant cup of tea!
