I visited the Melksham branch on a mercy mission having checked the website closing hours,which stated five thirty,on entering the store I was politely told that they were closing in five minutes, I did comment that I thought it was five thirty.My son's 21st birthday was the following day and I wanted to purchase some helium balloons,cards,gifts etc, obviously five minutes wouldn't be long enough.I was incredibly frustrated and said as much in a comment.The two members of staff,whom I believe are Jazmin and Harry were incredibly apologetic and even offered to inflate balloons the following day for me to collect,this thoughtful offer was enough to diffuse my frustration and I apologised for my display of this and thanked them, explaining that I would return the following day after work to purchase items,it just meant visiting my son later in the day.The following day, I was assisted by Net, whom I explained what happened the previous day with her colleagues,she very kindly wrapped my gift and was incredibly helpful, pleasant and made my experience a positive one,much credit should be given to these members of staff, especially in these challenging times,thankyou all.

What a wonderful experience I had at the Diss Store on Monday. I was greeted with what looked like a smile behind a mask, and helped to make a decision on what balloons to choose for my Husband's special Birthday. The girls were lovely and very efficient, the Party section is a great asset. I want to thank everyone for making my experience a comfortable and positive one in these difficult times,

Completely ignored while standing at till while assistant answered phone ( without even acknowledging me) then walked off !!!
I left my intended purchases.

Was in today and the “ boss “ was the rudest, least accommodating, unfriendly person would rather not shop at all than have her over my shoulder. Tylah at the counter very friendly and nice unlike the boss. Was considering at job here but definitely not anymore.

Went to the store in Newhaven to purchase some clothing. The staff in the store were beyond rude and downright argumentative in their approach to me. Contacted customer service through e-mail to lodge a complaint as there's no point in trying to deal with unintelligible individuals like that in the store and so far my e-mail has been ignored. So The Original Factory Shop clearly condone this type of behaviour. Best take your hard earned money elsewhere I think.

The staff in Pwllheli need an attitude adjustment. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Not only did two girls slag me off but the women behind the till wasn’t friendly either. Will no longer be shopping there. Definitely think their customer service needs adjusting.

Called into the Hornsea store a couple of weeks ago.
The staff were great, very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful, they even took the time to show us where to find a discount voucher online before we made our purchases, and this was at almost closing time when they could have just rushed us out of the store!
Will definitely be back

Went to my local store in shoreham by sea today and didn’t get the best shopping experience I stood queuing for a good 10 minutes and there was only 2 people in front of me,all the girl behind the counter said my colleague has gone upstairs to the stock room and I can’t contact him! No apology just a poor excuse for keeping customers waiting. I am myself a retail store manager so I do understand the stresses and strains on staff I just don’t feel it’s acceptable to be kept waiting for so long? Why can’t till staff contact other staff when they are in the stock room? Queue had built to at least 6 customers behind me. Store has had no carrier bags for at least 2 weeks and instead are charging people 5p for a black sack?? I really like using this store for its range of products and brands but staff needs stepping up a considerable amount.

Today I went to the factory shop in Frodsham and the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Lindsay. I was returning a heater that had stopped working and she was very kind and helpful. With my receipt in hand the heater was replaced within minutes. I have always found the Factory shop in Frodsham to be well stocked and the staff are welcoming, cheerful and efficient. A very good shopping experience.

Poor experience in their store due to anti-welsh language discrimination.

Went to cupar original factory shop to purchase a hoover .whilst parking my car in the store car park I was approached by "the manager "who was infuriated that I had "stolen "his space . politely said that I was sorry I did not realise the store operated allocated parking and tried to walk away .was rounded on and told "I was waiting for that space " ...there was an empty one right next to it .I told him I was going into the store to purchase .a ridiculous tirade occured in which he said "I have the power to ban you from my shop in fact I will you are barred " my partner stepped in to ask him to calm down .he was verbally abused and then the manager tried to say I had parked in a disabled space .I laughed and he screamed that "you have a personality disorder " all in all not the most welcome experience .needless to say I went somewhere else for my hoover .if this is how he acts in the parking area .god help anyone trying to make a purchase in "his "shop .he made frequent references to his management position .and was aggressive . personal and downright shocking

We went to the Caernarfon branch and got some amazing bargains, including sketchers and other branded and unbranded clothes and homeware. However what was even better was the amazing, friendly and helpful staff

I visited the Original Factory Shop in Caldicot for the first time on 23rd January 2019. I felt a very comfortable and welcoming ambience as I entered the store: the staff were very friendly and helpful and I did feel very welcome shopping here. I intended to just browse, but I needed to buy a new eyebrow pencil and some chews for my dogs. I was pleasantly surprised that the eyebrow pencil only cost me £1. I was impressed with the quality and the range of products in stock, most especially the wide range of products designed for our furry friends. I also enjoyed browsing throughout the household section. I shall definitely return: I finally found a basket that I liked to replace my old dirty washing basket when I move to my new home. Shelagh, who served me was very helpful and informative. I found her really friendly and very professional and efficient but extremely approachable. I really enjoyed my browsing experience in the Original Factory Shop that day.

The branch in Gillingham (Dorset) has some of the nicest friendly and accommodating staff I have ever encountered in 50+ years of shopping around the world.I BOUGHT AN ITEM HOURS BEFORE LEAVING ON HOLIDAY and was intending to wear it to travel Dismay when I found it was 2 sizes to small No I had not made a mistake it was clearly labelled rang the shop and explained and said it was incorrectly labelled which when they checked found several in the shop the same. they said bring it back for full refund no problem However I explained I was literally on my way to the airport for a 6 week break so I would be outside the returns time. Amazingly they simply said keep receipt and when I got back go in tell whoever served me it was logged into the book and I would be refunded .Exactly that happened no big fuss no dark looks some shop assistants give just good service .At the same time as praising I must also point out that I do find some of their items said to be factory prices actually more expensive than in other retail outlets bvut no one is perfect and customer service counts

Cainscross in Stroud, Original Factory Shop has moved everything around and it's opened the store right up. You can see everything and move around with ease now. I found a good deal on mini rice cookers for £10. I can cook a vegan meal in it, not just rice! Great for hotel stays. I found some good unique women's tops for a bargain. My recent visit was assisted by a helpful salesperson. They often have different styles of clothes so I am always happy to visit regularly.

As a regular customer at the maltby store I went in on 6/5/18 to purchase 2 garden recliner chairs which was in the store only to be told i could not have them as they was saving them for somebody else which had not been payed for i was told to come back the day after to see if the customer had been for them which i did only to be told that they had sold them not long after i had gone the day before to someone else i wasn’t at all happy about this because I didn’t think you could reserve items in your stores. I went looking again on the Tuesday when I was told there was a delivery but unfortunately none had been delivered I wanted something off the garden section which was not there but only to be told it might have been delivered but nobody was on that department so they could not look for it.so i went to home bargains which they was very helpful with what I needed

Love this store in Deal! Great bargains and really nice staff. James the manager was super helpful and accommodating when i arrived at closing time to make an urgent exchange - thanks so much and keep up the great work!

In order to help my 86 year old, disabled mother into the Crieff store I parked in an area right outside the shop, an area sometimes used to display gardening items but there was no such display this day. There was nothing to say that parking was not permitted. Indeed, I have parked here before without it being an issue. We were causing no obstruction but, soon after my mother started trying on some shoes, we were publicly and embarrassingly asked to move the car immediately. This was reinforced despite me explaining the circumstances of my mother's disability, being able to walk only about 15 metres without severe pain. The proper car park for the store is very inconvenient, being 30 metres away behind the store, without any alternative access to the store from the car park. That is well beyond the limit for my mother to walk. If this is typical, this company has no idea of what disabled friendly is. We won't be going back. While I understand that there need to be rules, the signage regarding parking is inadequate and the manner of the staff leaves a lot to be desired. This incident caused distress and embarrassment for my mother and she says she will not be back. Nor shall I.

Update 24/2/18 - Having written a formal letter of complaint to the company I received an assurance from Robyn Lawson, the Customer Service Manager, that the matter would be investigated and that I would be contacted "in due course". Over a week has now passed and nothing more has been received. I believe this to be a badly run company that shows contempt for its customers. Avoid them, especially if you have a disability.

Tried to order an item on Tofs web site, but it does not exist on their stock page.-so there are all these outdayed Tofs websites showing products that no longer exist in their stock-what a waste of time and cost on the telephone

Tofs original factory shop in Nailsea is great.
The ladies who work there are really friendly and helpful. ( I do not know all of their names but Abbie is really nice).
I use this store quite a lot, as it is very close to my place of work and when we run out of tea, coffee or sugar its reasonably priced. The staff at my place of work, also use this shop there regularly, as it also has such great bargains for the home.
I have also purchased items for myself there, and the staff have gone out of their way to find what I wanted and ordered it in from another store.

They have an eye for displays there too. There was a fantastic garden scene outside the shop, with all the garden furniture and accessories you could need, all set up with fake grass, it looked beautiful.
The shop is always very clean and tidy and if there is a long queue, another member of staff is always near by to help.
