Easy to book. Accurate details. A clean and welcoming house.

Loved the homeliness of the house, perfect holiday home. Great to be able to take the dogs with us but disappointed that the previous tenants hadn’t cleared up their dog’s mess from the garden. Something had sprayed the side of one of the sofas leaving a very pungent smell but Toad Hall came out to help solve this, thank you. Beds were very comfy and kitchen well equipped. Garden was great to bbq in and relax in the hot tub. Overall a great experience!

Second time we’ve booked a Devon cottage through Toad Hall and as before everything was perfect. From the booking experience and arrival instructions to the actual stay.

Stayed at Wayside cottage in Devon.
Family of 4 plus our dog.
The cottage was excellent and suited all our needs perfectly and very well priced.
Booking process and communication was excellent from Toadhall Cottages.
Would definitely recommend Toadhall Cottages and we will use again.
We would also stay at Wayside again too.
Lovely company and staff to deal with.

Beautiful house, ideal location, does exactly what it says on the tin.

Experience suggests the company offers a portfolio of generally second-rate cottages and a customer service to match. Would be reluctant to consider using it again.

Booked with them nice and in advance
Three weeks before we was due to go away, they cancelled
On a Friday via email at 4:15
Gave me some other options with them to look through or offered me an immediate refund
After looking through the options, there was non-suitable asked for an immediate refund
They requested my bank details at 5:29. I replied six minutes later to get a bounce back saying that they was closed until Tuesday so my immediate refund took three days I called at the weekend. Only need to be told there was nobody available.
Then I had to call them again on the Tuesday and didn’t receive my refund until after I’d called them at 11 am
In whose world is that an immediate refund?
The customer service was appalling
And really regret booking with them as now I have three weeks to book somewhere else at short notice so everything is now more expensive

We have used Toad Hall Cottages for all our stays in south Devon since our children (now almost grownup) were babies. Easy booking, professional staff and quick to solve any issues. We must have stayed in over 10 properties altogether, returning to some of them. We will use them every time.

Beware!! The Toad Hall Cottages website doesn’t show ‘real’ reviews and anything negative is deleted. This is giving potential customers a false representation of the property. My review was deleted earlier today.

My review for 5 Peninsular Court in Sandbanks, Dorset was as follows..
The mattress was terrible, it sank as soon as you lay or sat on it. It was extremely uncomfortable and although a mattress topper was provided, this made no difference. The pillows were stained yellow, the slats underneath the mattress were broken and there was clothing from past guests left. There were no sanitary bins provided in the bathrooms, the only bin available was in the kitchen. There was sand in the bath and shower and on the balcony cushions. Items left from previous guest's underneath the sofa and stained cushions in the living room. The location was incredible and only a 2 minute walk from the beach. The area was quiet and the property was a really good size.
Unless vast improvements are made, we won’t be returning to this particular property.

Toad Hall Cottages helped us find just the right place in South Devon for us. We had a lovely holiday. They were helpful and efficient in the business arrangements and even took the trouble to phone us when we were on our journey to say we could arrive a little earlier at our cottage as the housekeeping team had it ready in plenty of time. Altogether a very positive experience!

Beautiful cottage - well furnished and in a very quiet hamlet. Near to South Pool and the lovely Millbrook Inn, and a short drive to East Portlemouth and the gorgeous beaches on this side of the estuary. Nice welcome pack too!

The property was just as good as described. The arrival went smoothly and the whole process was straightforward.

I have used Toad Hall Cottages several times for family holidays in both Devon and the New Forest. The properties have always been very clean and well looked after. I would highly recommend.

Just returned from Kingsbridge Devon. The cottage we stayed in was very homely and very well equipped, clean and had more facilities than advertised. The communication with Toad Hall Cottages was excellent. I would definitely recommend them. Looking forward to using them again.
