Charlotte was very helpful and very pleasant, Luke did ask a question about the component that failed, which was why has it failed. ( nothing lasts forever ) I do believe that you should up your hourly rate £75 per hour is very low. Meaning I have to pay the difference? . Apart from that I’m very pleased.

Had a problem with my car informed TMO and they where polite and efficient and helped me through the process especially Luke and Mollie, the whole process was smooth and sorted as soon as the garage had informed them as to the problem. Once they checked my policy they quickly settled the invoice and kept me updated on every aspect. Totally 5 star experience

Maria went above and beyond to help get my claim sorted as quickly as possible to make sure I could get back on the road. Fantastic customer service and again fantastic warranty company. Maria even gave me a call back to kindly chase my bank details so they could reimburse my claim! Absolutely fantastic nothing but positives to say about them so far.

Becca went above and beyond to help with my claim. She took time to understand the issue and why the evidence for the claim was limited, then went on to raise this further to ensure I received the required cover. Great service

First claim after years of paying and this is how it has been handled
I have paid for Gold cover with Car Protect Direct / TMO for years and this is the first claim I have ever made. The experience has been extremely disappointing.
My car developed a clutch-related fault. The release/thrust bearing is specifically listed as a covered component under my warranty. Before the fault, the clutch was not slipping and the car was still driving normally.
The original mechanic reported a noisy clutch bearing, and TMO themselves discussed the possibility that the release bearing had failed and said further access was needed to properly establish the fault.
Once the gearbox was removed, the release/thrust bearing was found to have failed. TMO then declined the claim, saying the clutch components looked worn from photographs and that there was no indication of a sudden mechanical failure.
I retained all of the removed parts and have since carried out further checks on the clutch disc itself. The friction lining remains clearly above the rivet heads on both sides and the disc was not worn down to the rivets. More importantly, there had been no clutch slipping or gradual loss of drive before the fault developed.
I fully understand that once a gearbox is already removed, it often makes financial sense to replace the clutch at the same time because of the labour involved. That is completely different from saying the clutch had already reached the end of its effective working life and that normal clutch wear explains the failure of a separately covered release/thrust bearing.
I have asked TMO to provide the actual manufacturer wear specification or other technical evidence their senior technician relied upon when deciding from photographs that the failure was simply wear and tear. I have also asked them to clearly state whether they accept or dispute that the separately covered release/thrust bearing failed.
I sent a detailed formal challenge on 2 September and further physical evidence on 3 September. On 4 September I had to send another email simply asking them to confirm that they had actually received my evidence and were reviewing it.
At the time of writing I have still not received even a basic acknowledgement.
That concerns me almost as much as the claim decision itself. TMO wanted further dismantling before properly assessing the fault. Had I left my vehicle stripped down on a garage ramp waiting for them to respond, I could have been without my car for days and potentially exposed to additional storage, ramp or labour costs with no meaningful update from them.
I understand that warranty claims require investigation and I do not expect an instant decision. What I do expect after paying continuously for cover for years is basic communication, proper consideration of the evidence and a clear technical explanation when a claim is rejected.
So far the claims handling and communication have been extremely disappointing.
I still have the removed clutch components available for inspection, together with the photographs, technical evidence and correspondence supporting my position.
I will update this review if TMO properly considers the evidence and resolves the matter.

Fantastic customer service from the get go!
Had an issue shortly after buying my car, and TMO, namely Charlotte was a Fantastic help, managed to get my car sorted whilst it was in with a wetbelt change, so far a happy customer!
Answered the query in a timely manner
Answered the query in a timely manner, explained the breakdown of what was and was not covered. No long wait times to speak to a member of the warranty team on the phone.
Good communication …
Charlotte kept me up to date throughout the process
Very disappointed
Very disappointed. Having purchased a Platinium Plus warranty and needing to claim, I get told that the clutch issue is not covered and is classed as general wear and tear. TMO don't 'tick' all the boxes on your warranty page if you don't honour the cover
