A Broken Corporate Mess that Punishes Good-Faith Contributors.
Fandom is hands-down one of the worst-managed platforms on the internet. Their entire moderation system is a lazy, broken joke. I spent a massive amount of time trying to contribute accurate, good-faith research to a community wiki, only to get slapped with a permanent "sockpuppet" ban out of nowhere.
Why? Because an unrelated vandal happened to post fake voice-actor hoaxes using a shared IP address range, and the local volunteer admin was too lazy to actually check my unique edit history or behavioral differences before banning my entire connection.
When I tried to appeal and clear up the mistake in good faith, the local admin refused to listen to reason. Worse, Fandom’s own official corporate support team just blindly closed my tickets without doing a single second of real investigation. They protect power-tripping volunteers over honest contributors.
If you care about accuracy, community growth, or basic human respect, stay far away from Fandom. They hide behind automated filters, delete public questions on their forum to cover up their mistakes, and let toxic gatekeepers ruin fan databases.
