Agenda pushing

Good music, cool app. Paid for the subscription and after couple days they start bombarding my for you page with homosexual album covers and you don't even have the option to select don't recommend. For that push of explicit images in my face when I just what to have a neutral time and clean mind I am out and f them.

No Alexa UK support, ShieldTV app is no good and the refund policy is terrible.

The fact it still doesn't work on Alexa UK is hidden under a drop down on their "how to set up Alexa" page.

ShieldTV app is terrible.

Brand new account won't be refunded due to a song being played, they wouldn't offer a trial on the family account. Account was less then 24 hours old and not actually been used by anyone except for me when trying to set up devices.

Rather stick with other services if you're in the UK

Can't get into my account to cancel

I can't get logged into my account to cancel my subscription. No matter how many password resets i do there is still no way in. Have contacted customer support numerous times and have asked for cancellation and it is ignored.

The whole painful journey... its not worth it

Signing up - 2/10 - Nothing seemed to work and apparently my email address of 20 years doesn't exist?

Taking my payment - 1/10 - Tidal Declined AMEX, Visa and Mastercard. All cards worked fine before and after with other payments. I had to sign up for paypal to use the service

Customer Service - 0/10 - I'd score less if I could. Useless

Web app usability - 0/10 The web app does not work

Mobile app usability - 6/10 - The mobile app does what it's supposed to but it is slow

Sound Quality - 12/10 - amazing, can not fault it.

Overall - This sucks. I'd ask for a refund but worry that would be too much for the company to handle. So I'll ride out my month and then delete my account.

Customer service was terrible

Customer service was terrible, Helen didn't know what she was doing and was completely rude.

The supervisor was also rude and was stating the obvious. I know the policy that I was entitled to a refund which I was told I couldn't get.

Took a week to be told I couldn't get a refund.

I got my refund now though after having to dispute the charge.

If I could leave this company less than 1 star I would.

Incredible sound quality

Incredible sound quality even with the changes to FLAC which makes it 10x easier and cheaper to upload music to TIDAL.
They pay artist well, and compared to Spotify, no pictures it is better in a quality/price ratio!

Bad Tidal Music Support

Hello all,
I am a paying subscriber "HIFI" and posted questions to Tidal support 4 weeks ago. I had two response from Diego (is Diago a person or a AI response ????) which are far from responding to my questions. It is now 3 weeks and Tidal support is not getting back to me at all with any response. Obviousley i am very upset. I called Dynaudio people that i like and work with. Since Dynaudio does have a direct contract with Tidal called "Tidal Connect" i thought they could help me. But NO.. they said it is strange....

So I would love to know what's goin on with Tidal and get a response to my questions. Please help.

Hello Diego,

Is there a phone support because i am still not understanding your response and i do not feel like spending one month of emails to do so.
You say it is impossible to find out in which quality the music is delivered to you or impossible to know which quality Tidal is sending out to its listeners…. This is not true, because every Artist (label, distributor) does know exactly what format they are sending and any streaming plateform like Tidal definately knows what that quality is otherwise you would not be able to process it and stream it to listeners !
Therefore, please either give me a phone number or another person that can help me. I am a paying subscriber and would like to understand better how and what Tidal can and can not do.

Please i do understand that the source file you receive depends on the format(s) delivered to you by the artist, label, or distributor. I do understand the description of the quality format that Tidal streams to listeners but that does not tell me complete quality of music through the complete chain of distribution, Artist (label, distributor) to Plateform (Tidal) to Listener (Me).
a) MAX (Up to 24-bit, 192 kHz)
b) HIGH (Up to 16-bit, 44.1 kHz)
c) LOWv(Up to 320 kbps)
Therefore, i have two questions.

I would like to know if Tidal can tell me what quality format that the artist, label or distributor is distributing to music plateform such as Tidal ? Example quality format such as:
16-bit, 44.1 kHz
or
24-bit, 192 kHz
or
other…..

I would than like to know the quality format that Tidal than makes available to subscribed listeners such as me ? Example quality format such as:

On my end i know what my sound system is capable of digitally and anologically. In Tidal as I stream via "Tidal Connect" to via my active speakers "Dynaudio Focus 50" speakers.

Amazing sound but quite problematic

Amazing sound but quite problematic. When I manage to get it working, it is brilliant. But specifically on certain artists (VOLA for example) neither wifi, nor mobile internet can get it to play. There is no disclaimer, no color change with the artist to indicate a problem, just an indicator that its loading, without any download happening. Tried anything and everything, this needs to be resolved.

Was happy paying the monthly fee as they’re all about the same price these day around the £12 pm
Until I just logged onto my account to find they are putting the payment up to £13.99 pm I’d like to know what could be driving the price up on things like this in a financial crisis prices are increasing when ever these companies think they can get away with it. Well after being a customer for the past 8 months or so I have decided to cancel my subscription. There is no other reason for charging more but greed

Impressed with tidal Hifi sound quality

Despite all the negative reviews, I’ve never had a problem with tidal. I use Sony WF1000XM4 headphones to listen to music on their master and 360 song options they’ve got and have been impressed! You can definitely hear the quality of the music is better than other streaming services such as Spotify! The Hifi plus option is slightly steep in my opinion but as an avid music listener I don’t mind paying the extra. Plus as a musician, tidal do pay the best which obv is always a bonus :)

It was better in 2022

It was better in 2022. I don't like the new changes. Marked tracks/albums as Hi-Fi/MASTER was much better than is HIGH/MAX now. Album 'quality' is no longer visible. I've sent them my feedback and I got some preformatted reply; it's giving me feeling they don't need customers' feedback.
The desktop app is not remembering Passthrough MQA On and Use Exclusive Mode On. They should focus on something with higher priority: the functionalities, performance, not visual appearance which was better in the past.

Tidal’s new inferior hires service

Tidal have changed their high quality offering from a superior masters quality product (MQA) that they have been promoting for years to a lower quality (FLAC) based solution which is the same as other providers, but at twice the price. All for purely commercial reasons but instead of being upfront about it they are

1. Spinning it as if it is about customer choice and quality. When in fact it is a big step back.

2. Deceiving customers by hiding which type of service they are getting and also prioritising the delivery of the new inferior files.

3. leaving customers high and dry, many of whom, like me have invested in lots of expensive equipment to play their MQA files!

4. And helping add to the planets greenhouse gasses by storing and transmitting many more bits of data. So much so they recommend 5G or Wi-Fi for their hires service now.

Tidal kicked my account out of the app…

Tidal kicked my account out of the app and won't let me sign in again. When I asked for help, Tidal did nothing. I asked for a refund for the full month of service I can't use and they refused. They took away the artist payment program, raised prices 20% and then they take away your service for no reason.

haters will say it’s fake

haters will say it’s fake. Listen I have an issue with the price ofc but honestly this is the best music app and I’ve used them all. Tbh I still use AM on the side too because of my uploaded songs but since the trial I am a huge fan of this app. Hov my guy please lower the basic price but other than that no major issues with this.
