It was a great experience for the purchase of my first house. Ellen was very attentive, had great attention to detail and brilliant communication throughout. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering using Thorntons.

I was really please that I had chosen Thorntons to market and complete the conveyancing of my property. From my initial enquiry through to completion, I was provided with expert advice. I was kept informed and every interaction was carried out with professionalism.

I strongly recommend avoiding this solicitor. The service was absolutely terrible, and in my experience, they did not demonstrate a proper understanding of the matter. Their communication was also extremely poor, and I found their written English unacceptable for someone working as a professional solicitor.

I would strongly advise going elsewhere and finding a more competent solicitor who can properly represent you, communicate clearly, and provide the help and support you need.

Gillian Leckie at Thorntons Solicitors provided an excellent service throughout the process of selling a house in Scotland while I resided in England. Efficient and prompt, I would highly recommend.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the team at Thorntons have had to support me for several months rather than several weeks as is the normal.

Very disappointed. Initially the contact was positive.

A call back from a solicitor on the friday which resulted in the promise of an email being sent on Monday and a call back.

No email sent and no call back.

Its embarrassing as I prepped the other party to expect the email. Still no call back or response to an email asking for an update.

There is no reasonable excuse for this. I would not recommend them at this time.

We were lucky to have Laura Franceschi of Thorntons LLP Dundee guide us through the legal aspects of the purchase of our flat in Dundee. Laura has excellent inter-personal skills, communicates extremely effectively both verbally and via email, has good attention to detail, and responds quickly and completely to queries. All in all, she made the process very easy and worked hard to accommodate our timescales during a period when we had limited availability.

Working with Donna was a breeze. She was very proactive in all of her work, and extremely available and responsive should you have queries. Would fully recommend Thorntons and Donna for conveyancing.
