Apparently Four Stars is a Lifetime Ban

Apparently Four Stars is a Lifetime Ban
I have dined at The Woodhouse Bar & Grill on several occasions over the years and have generally enjoyed the food and dining experience, which is why I recently wanted to utilise $600 worth of gift vouchers and attempted to book a family dinner for 14 people.
Unfortunately, the booking process became disappointing. After initially being advised that the restaurant could accommodate 13 guests, the owner telephoned me and stated that I had left a one-star review just before Christmas, suggesting this reflected my attitude towards the restaurant. I was surprised, as I had no recollection of doing so.
When I asked for a copy of the review, it turned out to be a four-star review from almost three years earlier, not a one-star review from the previous Christmas as first alleged. Following that exchange, my booking was initially confirmed, then cancelled shortly afterwards, and I was advised that my gift vouchers would be refunded.
Everyone is entitled to make business decisions, including deciding who they wish to serve. However, I was disappointed that a historical four-star review appeared to become part of the discussion, and I felt the situation could have been handled more professionally and with greater regard for the facts.
I simply wanted to book a family dinner using gift vouchers that had already been purchased. Others can read the correspondence and form their own conclusions.
I received the $600 refund from The Woodhouse Bar and Grill and have donated it to Mad Cow who help the homeless in Bendigo
