I paid the window doctor double glazing repair specialists based in cwmbran £5,326 for a set of basic French doors and a new composite fire door, and was told both would be fitted in 1 day. This turned out to be inaccurate as french doors fitted but once front door was part fitted I was informed it wasn't a fire door and it would have to be re-ordered and refitted when it came! I ordered in October and was finally fitted 3 months later!!!! Communication with window Doctors is shocking and non existent, wrong door ordered by company and I had to be inconvenienced as a result as then took another day to be fitted! No sorry or compensation offered for their incompetency ... would definatly NOT recommend, over priced for service they offer

Arrived during the timings given. Team of three were very polite and professional with the job well done. This is the fourth time we have use your company and will continue to use them as and when required. Always happy to recommend your company. Thank you.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received . I was charged over £200 simply for a survey of work required ( one window) . After that , the company failed to attend on the agreed date. When they eventually did come out and I proceeded with the job , I was given a timeframe for completion but this was pushed back several weeks .

As the property is used as an air bnb these repeated delays and no shows caused me to be lose a significant amount of income .

Overall the Lack of reliability , High costs poor communication and missed appointments have made this a very frustrating and costly experience. I would not recommend this company based on my experience

Eddie came out inititially to talk us through the approach to fixing our door. Only took 10 minutes and was clear and concise.
We booked a date and he arrived in the time slot and fixed exactly how he said in very little time with no mess. Friendly and informative. Thanks Eddie.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Window Doctor. After they failed to complete work I paid for in good faith, ignored repeated follow-ups, and failed to provide promised quotations, I was left with unresolved and unsafe windows — including in a room used by a vulnerable child.

Despite multiple opportunities to resolve the matter amicably, they failed to engage. I had no choice but to issue County Court proceedings. They failed to respond, and on 22 January 2026, the court entered Judgment in Default against them for £2,519.26 (Case ref: M7QZ50GK).

I have now given them a final opportunity to pay before I instruct High Court Enforcement.

A deeply disappointing experience from start to finish — I would not recommend this company.

Very responsive when I initially called. Chap ( Jay) who did the work was very professional

I rang Window Dr and left a message for a man called Mel. He sent me a rude replay saying he had flu! I did not know this as his voicemail did not mention he was poorly. He could have replied saying "sorry I am unwell, thank for your message ....". If this is the service Window Dr provide I certainly would not recommend this Company for the work I was proposing.

I called the window doctor in the morning and by the afternoon i had a new working window. Nice guy and a professional service.

This is the second time I have used this company. Easy to book online and kept updated at every step. Eddie very friendly and professional and gave good advice. Job well done. Would definitely recommend this company.

Window Doctor Reading. Called me back I left a phone message to discuss work to repair old upvc windows and retrofit trickle vents. The window dr didn’t seem to understand that I needed retrofit to 20 year old windows and became confused and agitated about on street parking and hung up on me after saying it wasn’t something for them. Went I went to voice mail several times calling him back… I thought the whole point of the company is to repair old upvc windows but they are not really interested. Waste of time. Avoid.

Excellent service, front door fixed in minutes. Would highly recommend

After contacting The Window Doctor, James came , accessed the 2 problems, gave me a quote , and followed up with the repairs. I Didn't feel hassled or pushed into making a decision and felt comfortable with James , who did a first class job.

Very disappointed with this company. I contacted them to replace some misty window panes. They came out promptly, took measurements, and gave me a quote—which I initially appreciated. But after that, they completely disappeared. I tried calling and messaging several times over the next three weeks with no response at all. Wasted my time waiting for something that never happened. Very unprofessional and unreliable. Would not recommend!
