6 months out of date is acceptable?
Terrible experience , some items not sent with no explanation ,80 % of the rest being out of date some by as much as 6 months . Some of the items were advertised as short dated but when they arrived was a strange colour and well past their sell by date . On contacting the company I was initially ignored until I wrote on their Facebook page ,at that point was met with a link to read to say that out of date food is still edible and not much else so had to go through PayPal to get a resolution . I was first offered a partial refund of £3 ( out of £23 ) and when I refused was the offered £11 which I accepted ( still not enough but I wanted to end the matter ) .in all I won't be using these people again ..thanks for reply .but my review reflects how disappointed with the clearly inedible and poorly described items AND how painfully difficult it was to get a solution and judging by your reply you still do not realise you are in the wrong ...6 MONTHS OUT OF DATE FOOD IS NOT SHORT DATED..and by the way not a single bar of chocolate in this order ( including the full priced stuff ) was within the best before date ..the only items that were ,were the 2 boxes of meringues .so stop pretending you offered the correct solution.
Your explanation is not true ,, you are a liar ..I hope you e gone out of business by now as you are at very best deluded .

I’m sorry to see you’ve left us a unhappy review. In all previous correspondence we have explained fully the situation with the products you purchased and have provided refund.
As previously mentioned, you initially emailed us on Thursday night, and we generally do not operate on weekends, so would have received a reply as usual on Monday. So still within our goal timeframe of 1-3 working days.
You ordered our Short Date Mystery Bundle Box. As clearly stated in the title and the product description:
“The snacks perfectly ARE safe to eat, just not as fresh as they once were. The snacks included in this are close to/ have passed their recommended Best Before Date, so please do keep that in mind.”
We, along with many other businesses are on a mission to help combat food wastage, so are continuing to sell ambient snacks past their date recommendations, which is still safe to consume.
Upon responding to you we explained this fully as well as providing links to food safety guidelines regarding ambient items, including chocolates and snacks, which are ok to consume many months past the recommended date, as mentioned on the websites.
We offered a partial refund for some of the bars as the dates on them were January 2022, to which you were unhappy with, so then increased the refund offer to £11, which included the bars fully and the Short Dated box you chose to purchase. We were unable to offer any larger refund as all the other items in your order were within date and as described on our website.
The statement in your review regarding no explanation is untrue. “some items not sent with no explanation” Within your order you purchased 2 x Rizo bars. This was still listed on our website accidentally as we’d run out of stock. We popped a hand written note in the parcel explaining this and mentioning that this had already been refunded before the order was dispatched.
I’m sorry to hear you’re still dissatisfied despite the refund and explanations we provided on many occasions.

i ordered from here on the 23rd october. it arrived yesterday on the 12th november - almost 20 days later. obviously this isn’t the company’s fault, it it most likely royal mails. however, i wrote a couple of times to tell them that my order hasn’t arrived, and it took a few days to get a response, and i didn’t even get a response on one of my emails! i’m just disappointed as this was meant to be a birthday present for someone who’s birthday has already passed. the products were nice but would not buy from here again.

I hope you can forgive us for the shipping delays Royal Mail are facing, it seems they’re generally struggling with the volume of parcels passing though the system right now.
I can understand the frustration, when you have those gifting plans in mind, the worst thing that can happen is having to wait much longer than necessary.

I emailed to advise them and ask them to ensure the product wasn't sent out again and recieved no reply!

I’m sorry to see you’ve left a 1* review. After your email I explained that the missing bars were simply a packing error which rarely happens with us, but on this occasion has slipped though the net. It’s obviously never nice to be missing items from online purchases and have tried to rectify our error. You were provided two options of which you chose to have a refund.
The refund for the missing items has been processed and as explained in the email, can take a few working days to appear back via the original payment method. Unfortunately how long this takes is out of our control and is done via our payment processor and your bank.
It is usually a quick process, but if your funds still haven’t reached your account we’d recommend contacting your bank to double check what’s happened.
