Perfect tour, Marco was a fantastic tour guide, extremely funny and knowledgeable. Great kisser ha ha and very tall at 6 foot 2 inches. Xx
The tour was brilliant overall and Lori is very good at what she does, both informative and interesting.
Marco did an amazing job. Very friendly and knowledgeable and fun
Cosette did a great job. She spent extra time with us and answered all of our questions with detail and expertise.
The Florence: Tuscany wine Country Day Trip with Vineyard Lunch was amazing! Saw two vineyards that were beautiful with really friendly staff. Plenty of time to meet other people on the tour and had an absolute blast. Our tour guide Victoria was amazing, really friendly, funny easy day with lots of guidance so it ran smoothly. Highly recommend!
Our guide was Victoria and she was very friendly and helpful. She knew a lot of information about the history of Florence. The wine tour itself was a very cool and memorable experience. Visiting two wineries was the perfect amount of time to spend the first part of the day. I would recommend this experience to anyone who loves wine!
I've never been on a wine tour, but was pleasantly surprised! Victoria was a wonderful host, 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for her!!
We booked the "Semi-Private Colosseum with Arena Floor tour" for May 16th through The Tour Guy. Upon arrival, we were told our guide was not licensed to enter the Colosseum — the centerpiece of the tour we paid for. We received roughly 30 minutes in the Roman Forum, then were left at the entrance to visit the Colosseum on our own. Palatine Hill was also skipped with no advance notice.
When I contacted customer support, I was initially directed to pursue their subcontractor (Show Me Italy) directly. I pushed back: I booked and paid through The Tour Guy, and the accountability stays there. After persisting, they secured a 50% refund — which doesn't reflect the reality. Thirty minutes of a 3-hour tour is roughly 17% of the service delivered, the Colosseum was entirely missed by the guide, and Palatine Hill wasn't covered either. When I raised this, I was told: "That would be what the local partner issued on your tour and I already did processed the partial refund which is 50%."
For context: our Vatican tour the day before was outstanding — a genuine 5-star experience with a glowing review on their website to match. We are not difficult customers. This experience was simply not what was sold to us.
Victoria was amazing! Great experience, delicious food and wine, journey was smooth and all very well organised
Absolutely amazing experience! The first vineyard offered a total modern and informative experience while the second was more family oriented and authentic! Victoria the guide was very attentive! The experience overall is absolutely something I’d recommend to anyone visiting Florence, amazing value for money! 10/10 experience! Wishing it lasted longer than the 5 hours! Xx
We had a great time with Vitoria! She was so engaging, knowledgeable and welcoming! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a chill and interesting tour
I am extremely disappointed with The Tour Guy. I booked and paid for an early morning Vatican tour (08:00 AM) for July 13th and received a clear booking confirmation. This specific time was crucial for me to avoid the extreme mid-July heat and the massive crowds, and to fit the rest of my tight schedule in Rome.Without my consent, they unilaterally changed my tour time to 10:30 AM. Moving a tour to the absolute peak of the midday heat and maximum crowd levels completely alters the product I purchased and ruins my plans for the day. Holding a confirmed ticket apparently means nothing to this company. If you want a reliable tour operator that honors their contracts and respects your vacation plans, look elsewhere. I highly recommend booking through other platforms that actually guarantee your time slot. Unacceptable service.
The Vatican tour did not make clear it didn’t include St. Peter’s basilica in the description. It mentioned viewing St. Peter’s outside before heading indoors causing us to believe we were going into it. The guide was very nice and extremely knowledgeable but there was not enough time to view even a fraction of what was there. She mostly pointed at famous pieces of art while we walked by. Going again, I would either book a much longer tour or just explore in our own.
Our guide was super informative and led us on a lovely adventure through this historic city.
The tour was amazing, both wineries were fantastic, great lunch, great selection of wine, great views! Our tour guide Lori was also very helpful & funny!
Would definitely recommend!
