The Sheriff office helps me to get my holiday pay from my Employer . They are very helpful , friendly , easy to contact and update me each time they contact my debtor .

The instruction process was quick and easy and the Sheriffs Office did everything from there. Good updates on progress and of course, a quick positive outcome and payment in full.

There great I suppose if you a person that sends them to collect a debt, but being on the receiving end of there conduct as a person with a debt, it’s absolutely inhumane. Your charged 8% interest per month, if you miss 1 payment regardless of the reason they add over £500 to your debt, if you miss a second payment, again charges added to your account, then when questioned about this via there customer helpline they state they issue a default if a payment is missed, not just your normal DD or standing order bank charge of £25 is it ? For missing 1 payment or 2 a charge of over £500 for that. I mean is that even legal? So as I said great pressure, stress and worry for a person who is likely to be in a bit of debt to have a connection with the company if your owed money, but really? Over £500 if you miss 1 payment. I had a debt of just over £1200 transferred to this company in 2014, that debt turned to over £2700 from charges and interest here we are in 2025 still paying a monthly installment to these people. I’ve been paying this for 11 years, albeit at £10 a month, and my debt is still £1500. My debt was never that to begin with. I’ve missed 2 payments in 11 years and I’m charged probably a £1000 for that.
