I purchased the Thermos Stainless King…

I purchased the Thermos Stainless King 1.2L flask.

It clearly states on the external sleeve (which is covered in Thermos branding) that the flask is dishwasher safe, I didn’t expect this and accepted it as a bonus. However, within the flask is a tiny leaflet, with minuscule writing declaring exactly the opposite. Again, paperwork is covered in Thermos branding, therefore, no other party can be blamed for this error. I’ve not used the product yet, my review is based on very poor instructions from the manufacturer.

I purchased the 24oz ICON™ Water Bottle…

I purchased the 24oz ICON™ Water Bottle with Spout on Amazon, which was falsely advertised as dent-resistant (it’s definitely not). I’ve had this bottle since July 2025 and loved it, until I accidentally dropped it from less than 20 inches. The impact left such a deep dent that it can’t even stand upright anymore.

When I contacted customer service and sent pictures of the damage, Melissa Nolan replied by simply pasting their warranty policy, no apology, no empathy, nothing. That’s the reason for the one-star review.
If Melissa had shown even a little customer service sense, something as simple as “Sorry that happened,” followed by “Unfortunately, the warranty doesn’t cover physical damage”, I would’ve been fine. I probably would’ve even bought another bottle if she’d offered a small discount. Instead, Thermos lost a loyal customer.
BUYER BEWARE: Poor customer service and easily dented product.

I’m on my second Thermos bottle

I’m on my second Thermos bottle. The first one got dented when I dropped it, so I replaced it. Now, in the third year with my second bottle, I’ve noticed some mold-like buildup on the rubber lid inside. Overall, I’m satisfied with the performance and functionality—it really does its job well. My only wish is that the bottles are less prone to denting when dropped, and that Thermos would be more proactive in offering replacement lids or parts. I haven’t contacted customer support, but having that kind of option clearly presented would be very helpful.

Non-existent customer service

Contacted thermos.com.au months ago (Feb-2025) for a spare part, filled out scanned and emailed paper form (including payment information), part was back ordered and supposed to arrive mid-April.
Is early June now, I've sent multiple follow up emails and there has been no reply, being completely ignored.

Undelivered Package and Lack of Support

Complaint Description:
I placed an order through the official Thermos website and paid for delivery to my residential address. However, the package was marked as "Delivered to Parcel Locker," but no locker address or location was provided. The delivery was not made to my home, and I have no means to retrieve the package since the location is unknown.

I contacted Thermos customer service and was simply told to contact the USPS. However, under U.S. federal law — specifically the FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule (16 CFR Part 435) — the seller is responsible for ensuring delivery of the merchandise to the buyer as agreed.

Thermos failed to fulfill the delivery as contracted and refuses to take responsibility for the issue. The lack of accountability is unacceptable.

Desired Resolution:
I request a full refund or that Thermos reship the product to the correct residential address. I am not willing to accept responsibility for locating a package delivered to an unspecified parcel locker.

Impossibilism between US and UK teams

We purchased a funtainer bottle in the US. It started leaking and is covered by their 5 year warranty. Problem is we are now a few months in the UK and my daughter would really like to have a functioning bottle. I spent nearly 2 months corresponding with UK and US teams and there seems to be a systemic impossibilism. The message I receive seems to be saying that the replacement bottle can only be sent to the US. This is quite shocking. My previous experience with global brands is that they try to adjust to dynamic life of their customers. I hope some customer teams at HQs read this and help me resolve this matter. Otherwise why to buy from brands?

The way the thermos retains heat is…

The way the thermos retains heat is amazing. I enjoy hot tea in the morning. In the evening before bed, I drop several bags of tea into my thermos and pour inside boiling water. I cap it and let it steep overnight on my counter. When I get up, it is still piping hot. The tea itself is strong from sitting overnight. I have been using my thermos this way for years.

Thermos & Sainsburys negative service level

If I could give Thermos a minus star rating I would.
After purchasing 4 Thermos flasks from Sainsbury’s and after 18months, 3 of them leaked between the outer casing and the flask despite ONLY EVER being washed by hand and never left to soak or in a dishwasher water got in between these two layers.
Unfortunately I didn’t keep my receipt do both Sainsbury and Thermos refused to do anything to help. VERY POOR LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RECOMMENDATIONS.

Thermos products constant failure

I have owned many Thermos products. They have excellent designs. Unfortunately, most Thermos products lose their vacuum quickly and don't function anymore. Even more unfortunately, Thermos is completely incommunicado with their customers. They have never responded to my several queries.

Stanley is better. Their products last seemingly forever, and when one didn't, they responded immediately and replaced it.

I no longer buy Thermos products. I recommend to others to avoid them too.

WARNING about Thermos travel mugs

WARNING about Thermos travel mugs. A few months ago my boyfriend was mowing the lawn with his riding lawn mower, and had Coke in his Thermos travel mug. He heard an explosion, and stopped the mower. The screw on lid to his travel mug exploded off, landing about 6 ft. away. I left a warning review on their website. A customer service agent called me. She said rudely, that it was his fault, because the movement of the lawn mower caused the carbonation to expand the mug. She sent me a new lid. Today his travel mug was filled with Coke, on the kitchen counter. He went outside. I heard an explosion and 2 loud bangs from the kitchen. The new lid had exploded off the Thermos mug, slammed into something, and loudly slammed onto the floor. This happened with the Thermos mug sitting still. If someone had been near the mug, they could have been seriously injured. The Thermos Company should have designed the mug to handle carbonated beverages. I know these are not two isolated incidents.

Bad design -> built for the dumpster!?

Have had a couple of 500ml Thermos bottles. Been quite happy with the while they worked. Unfortunately that's not long. The open/close mechanism (type with a red lever for opening the seal inside) in the cap fails - leaving the bottle leaking. This is in two generations of bottles - so it's unfortunately not a single engineering blunder. And the caps are glued or welded so they can not be fixed!
New caps (probably of the same "quality") seemingly _are_ available at a little short of the price of a new bottle... (Thermos/Alfi support only directs me to a retailer on Amazon!) The possible availability is a good thing - but in essence, I consider the product to be "built for the dumpster" - a principle I do NOT want to support!
