Fantastic service from start to finish

Fantastic service from start to finish. Sean - company owner was very professional, informative and not pushy at all, like a lot of sales men. Products are top quality and installation was easy and hassel free. Price extremely competitive, and much cheaper than other companies I looked into. All staff involved were very professional, friendly and knowledgable. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely awful service

Absolutely awful service, if I could give less stars I would. They failed to complete the install on the agreed day as did not bring all the equipment with them. Then on returning to complete the work installed the remaining panels in the wrong location and had to be chased to fix this and then broke several roof tiles in the process. They promised to fix these within a week but had to be continuously chased and had several no shows from agreed fixing dates after having to take time off work waiting in for them. It took them over 4 months to come back and fix the roof in which time we had to deal with rain leaking in and causing further mess and damage. Their customer service is horrendous as they do not reply or seem to care once they have been paid.

Still waiting for my refund

I have never wrote any negative reviews before, but waiting over 10 weeks for a refund is unacceptable.

I had to cancel the installation due to unforeseen circumstances and accepted that I will have to pay any costs that has occurred. We agreed the costs on the 20th Feb and since then, I just been given empty promises on when I'll receive it. Once the date it was promised had past, all I get told is that they'll chase it up and then nothing happens. Now it, feels like I'm just being ignored now.

I have been more than patient, no one should ever wait this long and I feel like I'm being punish, just because it didn't go their way. They were really quick at getting the order across, through constant calls and emails. But if any little inconveniences go their way, they'll just drag their heels.

I was hoping to avoid writing a negative feedback, but I hope this will finally get it resolved.

Great service

Great service. Pete explained everything I needed and what the installation process would entail. The scaffolding was put up the day before and the installation only took a day. All of the installers knew their stuff and were polite and very helpful when I asked questions. Very pleased with both the quality of the product and the installation. Highly recommended.

I have had solar panels fitted

I have had solar panels fitted. No bird netting has been fitted around the solar panels. I was to receive a phone call from the director to which did not happen. Birds are gathering around the panels and making a mess on the garden patio. I was told the netting was not in the price for the work done and would be additional cost. I’m not happy with a half job done. I would not recommend them to any one. And not receiving a phone call is not good customer service.

There was no bird guard costed for or on your order. It’s hardly fair to give a 2 star review when we completed your contract a year ago with no issues and you don’t notify of us any problem at the time

Overall we are very very impressed with…

Overall we are very very impressed with the solar and battery system we have had installed by Thermohome. The financial benefits were instant.
Pete who came to our home was great, talked us through everything, happy to spend as much time as we needed for our questions. The installation was done quickly and the guys that did the installation were all very lovely and committed to making sure we were up and running effortlessly. Customer service has been instant and every query we’ve had followed through immediately. Highly recommended.

I've recently had a 10kw array with 22 panels and a 20kw Canadian Solar ep cube stack with integrated inverter fitted. Very pleased with both the products and the install. The installation team did a great job and all was installed in a day. Highly recommended...

FIVE STAR ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After some initial research I contacted thermohome after they were recommended by a friend. I had lots of questions and they were all answered by Jim and Pete. After receiving the costing and assumed savings it was a no brainer.

I wanted to wait a while to leave a review to ensure what I was advised was correct but the savings so far have surpassed what I was advised and expected even on cloudy, low light and short daylight days. I’m now 6 weeks post install.

our installation took place on time and the scaffolders and engineers all arrived on time and were very professional. Installation was completed to a very high standard and everything was left clean and tidy.

Overall support has been excellent from Thermohome. I’ve had a couple of questions since installation which have been answered promptly.

I would definitely recommend.

Professional service from start to finish

Great experience with Thermohome solar, from the first contact, their team were professional. The complete system has been installed and I’m over the moon with it. Installation was no trouble at all considering we have an awkward roof.

I bought solar panels at a previous property 14 years ago from a different company and that experience was awful, Thermohome have made it a pleasure throughout the process.

Friendly at First, Unresponsive After Installation and Payment, Solar not working for 4 weeks with no resolution

I’ve unfortunately had to downgrade my review back to 1 star.

Workers attended on 24th April to fix defects and discovered our inverter had been installed unsafely, with part of the connection apparently glued. They immediately turned the system off and assured us the inverter would be replaced urgently.

Four weeks later, after repeated chasing, we still have no replacement date and have lost a month of energy savings and export earnings while still paying for the installation. No proactive effort has been made.

Communication remains unacceptable. We now expect an urgent fix and compensation before escalating further.

Following a home visit today from Pete, I wanted to provide an updated review based on a much more positive experience. The visit went really well, we walked Pete through the outstanding issues and he took the time to fully understand the problems we’ve been experiencing. It was a very constructive and positive meeting. Pete was open and understanding, particularly around the communication challenges and what could have been handled better, which we really appreciated.

Based on today’s interaction, I’m updating this review to 3 stars. Once the outstanding work has been completed, we will reassess again.

We had high hopes for Thermohome based on the initial consultation, where Director Pete was friendly, professional, and very attentive. Unfortunately, our experience after installation has been extremely disappointing, and we feel very let down by the level of customer service and aftercare.

Within a week of installation, we identified multiple issues and raised them promptly. We received only two brief and rather blunt responses, with no real acknowledgement or apology, although they did promise the problems would be resolved. Since then, over a month has passed with no action or meaningful follow-up.

We have remained polite, patient, and reasonable throughout, sending numerous emails chasing updates and reiterating the outstanding issues, but these have largely been ignored. It’s difficult to believe our messages aren’t being received, especially given how persistent communication was before the sale, both in arranging the work and requesting payment.

It is particularly frustrating given the significant investment we made (over £12,000). It now feels as though the level of service changed completely once payment was received. Pete, who was personable and engaged during the initial home visit, has been unrecognisable in both tone and responsiveness since.

The issues we raised were genuine and reasonable. These included broken brickwork, untidy cabling with excessive slack, nails protruding through to the other side of the fence, and mess left behind such as brick dust, broken materials, and packaging that we had to clear ourselves. There were also installation concerns, such as not concealing cabling as promised, placing an emergency safety switch in a position that prevents future battery expansion, and parking on a neighbour’s drive despite being asked not to.

A contractor did turn up one day, completely unannounced, fortunately we happened to be at home, despite us still having received no communication. They only addressed the protruding nails, replacing them with shorter ones, which we can only assume was due to the immediate health and safety risk.

The contractor advised that someone would be in touch regarding the remaining issues. However, we have heard nothing since.

Some of these matters simply required acknowledgement and a basic apology. Others are practical fixes that should not be difficult to resolve for a customer who has invested in a premium setup.

We are now leaving this review in the hope that it will finally prompt a response and some action to resolve the outstanding issues. Thermohome will also need to contact us to provide our installation certificate, so communication will be required at some stage regardless.

At present, the aftercare experience has fallen far short of expectations. As a next step, we are considering escalating this through Green Homes Dispute Resolution, given that Thermohome are RECC members.

We paid in full on the day, treated staff with respect, and have remained courteous throughout. We simply do not understand the lack of response.

Pete and the Thermohome team, we ask that you show professional responsibility and respond to your customer. Please engage with us and help resolve these issues, we have been patient and reasonable throughout. We were in no immediate hurry to have these issues resolved, we just request some acknowledgment and some form of timeline to rectify what is outstanding.

Very disappointed with the cashback…

Very disappointed with the cashback offer. I signed up expecting to receive the promised cashback, but the whole process has been frustrating and misleading. Despite meeting the stated conditions, the cashback has not been paid, and there has been little to no clear communication about why.

Customer support has not been helpful, and it feels like excuses are being used to delay or avoid payment. This has completely damaged my trust in the service.

I would not recommend relying on their cashback offers, as they do not seem to be honoured properly. Please be careful before signing up based on these promotions.

Satisfied customer

Satisfied customer. Helped talk us through the options available and explained process. Good communication throughout, reasonable pricing and honoured upgrade to battery and inverter when issue identified with original. Quick lead times and friendly service. Install went as planned however I expected a more professional service by the installers on the day.

Reliable and very professional service

Honestly, this was some of the best customer service I’ve had in a long time.

From the first interaction, it just felt easy. No rushing, no canned responses, no feeling like I was a problem they needed to get rid of. They actually listened. That alone already puts them ahead of most places.

Every question I had was answered clearly, and when something needed fixing, it was handled quickly and without any back and forth. You can tell they care about doing things right, not just closing a ticket.

If great customer service still matters to you, this is what it should look like. Five stars, without hesitation.
