I received an A* in Physics A-level after being tutored by Dr Andrew Gibson. He provided a lot of resources and help when dealing with questions, and ran through topics multiple times if I was confused. Very grateful for his help, aiding me to get a great grade in physics.

Andy was an excellent tutor who, very quickly, understood how my son worked and what was most useful for him. His help has been invaluable.

I've been a student of Dr. Andrew Gibson for the better side of maybe 9 months now. Through our sessions we have had 1-to-1 thorough learning done, with his mastered ways of teaching. Together, we steered through every topic on the syllabus, preparing me in time for my Physics GCSE exams, giving me upmost confidence in answering my questions and using key terminology where necessary. He not only teaches you the key content, but enforces you to put it in your work and give you ideas on what the examiners are looking for in your answer and the best ways to structure the longer answers. Thank you so much for fantastic tutoring over the last year; boys have really enjoyed the lessons and learnt so much!
Understanding the correct techniques to use whilst answering questions is absolutely vital to be able to perform well in exams. You have really cemented that knowledge, which will serve them well in their A levels and beyond!
It makes such an enormous difference to pupils' exam results to have an inspiring, engaging and encouraging tutor who makes all the material clear, accessible and a joy to learn.
Your 'firm, fair yet really fun' approach was perfect to get teenage boys to sit up, listen and really learn; they both consider you one of their absolutely favourite tutors as you made one of their more difficult subjects to one they really enjoyed by the end!

I contacted Andrew to help my daughter with her A-Level Physics after she received uncharacteristically low marks in her end of year 12 exams and was having a huge crisis of confidence in her ability to continue with the course. She began online tutoring sessions with Andrew over that summer and continued weekly sessions throughout year 13 right up until the start of the exams. Andrew is a fabulous tutor - so knowledgeable and obviously very, very clever - but with a knack for engaging with his student and explaining things in a very clear and straightforward way (with a good sense of humour too) which made even challenging topics interesting and enjoyable to study.

The (AQA) Physics exams this year were extremely tough and very different from previous years past papers but by using all the tools that Andrew had equipped her with during tutoring sessions (plus use of his online resources during revision) my daughter was able to stay calm and not panic and methodically work through each question despite finding them extremely challenging. She was absolutely over-the-moon to find out last week that she had achieved a B!

To go from Es (bordering on Us) at end of Y12 to achieving a B in the (very tough) A-level exams is nothing short of a miracle and we have absolutely no doubt that Andrew’s tutoring was the key ingredient to this success.

Andy was very thorough with his teaching. If I didn’t understand anything he would go through it with a clear and patient explanation and he has significantly improved my ability in this very difficult subject. This has enabled me to attain the necessary grade at A level Physics for me to undertake my chosen degree at my first choice of University. Thank you Andy!

Andrew was an amazing tutor who is clearly very experienced in offering help for physics A-level due to his in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the course. This was shown through the fact he helped bring my grade up from a B to an A* in the space of a year. Therefore, I achieved an A* in my physics A level and am going on to study at Imperial College London.

I'm starting Year 13 soon and will be re-sitting AS level Physics to hopefully get A* prediction. I had done some practice questions but was stuck on a few of them. I had a 1 hour session with Andy, in which he explained his method for the questions which really helped. Would definitely recommend.

From a parent perspective, Andy has been such a help to my son, increasing his confidence in A Level physics. When needed, my communication with Andy via email has been quick and easy. Very much appreciated the flexibility he offered around preparing for uni interviews too.
In my son’s case, Andy was helping him achieve a top grade and it is not always easy to find someone for A Level sciences who can do this online, in a series of fortnightly sessions. Highly recommend anyone looking for a tutor!
