We were looking for a sofa a step up in quality from the usual high-street names when we found Duresta and The Lounge Co in Islington. It was great to be able to specify exactly what we wanted in terms of style, fabric, piping and legs. We are delighted with the finished product and the build quality is excellent. It was a pleasure dealing with Paulina and The Lounge Co. Paulina was very friendly and helpful, she organised fabric samples for us and she regularly kept us up to date on build and delivery progress. The white glove delivery service was also excellent. We have since returned to specify a Duresta chair to complement our sofa. We'd certainly recommend Duresta and The Lounge Co to anyone looking for a quality sofa with excellent service.

We had a problem with one chair in our lounge. The seat had been sat upon by a large person, and a noise was heard - we thought the chair had been broken. A Service Technician - Robert Green - came out and looked at the chair, and inspected, and fixed the chair, we are now left with a perfect chair. Mr. Green was very knowledgeable, he was very kind, polite and courteous and knew exactly what was wrong. Would highly recommend him and this company. Well done all round.

We went to a number of stores that sold a selection of duresta furniture before we found the amazing Lounge co in Islington. I can only say wow for the many different collections of beautiful furniture. The staff were so helpful attentive and informative they all went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and we spent many hours choosing the fabric as they have so much choice and we only went in for 1 sofa and there was so many fabulous pieces we ended up buying 2 sofas. The prices were so competitive compared to the other companies we went to first I would definitely recommend this store and whoever owns the company should be proud of their staff they are amazing.👏

During my visit to the Islington location of the Lounge Co., I thoroughly enjoyed exploring their sofa and armchair selections. Glenn, a sales advisor, was an absolute delight to work with, providing valuable insights and creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Paulina also contributed to a seamless purchasing process, making our conversations enjoyable. I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of my Imogen sofa and Paloma snuggler!

The customer service is really good. I talked to an employee called Paris, who was very competent and cared for my issue. I appreciated the patience and understanding a lot and would order again because of that expierience. Thank you again!

Exemplary sofa and support from Paulina
I cannot praise the lounge co enough for our lovely new sofa and the process of buying it.
Paulina, my family and I want to thank you wholeheartedly for your expertise, professionalism and product knowledge. For guiding us through the entire process and checking in to ensure all was running smoothly throughout the lead time and even after delivery.
Outstanding service and a beautiful sofa.
Thank you all so much.

I have left a previous review for this company but as it’s been more than a year I’m unable to apply an edit. However a long term review is probably no bad thing.
We bought our sofa in October 2023, service was excellent, the sofa was comfortable and all was good.
Then in the autumn of 2024 the sofa started to smell. It made no sense to me at the time, I knew it couldn’t be anything we’d done but over a few weeks the smell got worse and worse. Eventually I contacted the company and discovered the smell was a known problem to them and somehow we’d been missed as part of the remedial process. The cause was related to the fire retardant treatment applied and was down to a ‘bad batch’. Lounge Co were very helpful and agreed to replace the sofa. Given the smell by this time was so bad they collected the sofa a gave us a loan sofa till the replacement arrived.
We have had the replacement for a little under a year and last week we turned our central heating on. This is important as it’s believed it was the warming of the sofa by heating that causes the smell. Yes I know this makes no logical sense, you’d have thought the heat of people sitting on it or indeed the overall heat of the house during the hot weather would have triggered the smell but it’s only the central heating that causes the reaction. Maybe it’s related to the stuffing breaking down after a year but honestly I don’t know or understand.
What I do know is the story about it being a bad batch is clearly incorrect and we are left with a sofa that stinks. I have spoken to the company this afternoon and they want to send a technician round to check the problem. No idea what that’s going to solve but we’ll see.
In the meantime I’d be a bit careful about their good reviews and wonder about what happens after a year. Incidentally the fabric and overall condition of the sofa is still perfect -it just stinks.

EDIT- The Lounge Company reached out but were not helpful and I was fed the same excuses. I’m currently going through the bank to claim money back after receiving a positive independent furniture company report. DO NOT trust the furniture company that the Lounge Co use as they are not independent and work directly with The Lounge Co as I discovered through using an independent firm. If I cannot retrieve money through bank I’m ready to pursue small claims.
PLEASE READ IF YOU’RE CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY AND AVOID!!!! I would personally advise you not to buy a sofa from this company. I wish I could share the images of how your sofa will look within a year, two years and then three years- you will want to throw it away!
I’m a house proud woman and have taken the upmost care with this nearly £4000 sofa. I turn the cushions every few days, I plump 10 million times a day (you have to plump every time you sit on it as it looks awful) and any small marks are cleaned very quickly with a damp cloth.
For context I had my last sofa for 12 years and sold it in excellent condition to upgrade for a larger family sofa.
In short- the inserts will lose shape and you will end up sitting in what feels like gaping holes. When you sit down the back of the sofa will collapse behind you. The fabric will begin to ripple and sag as will the inserts. No amount of plumping or turning will be able to fix how saggy everything looks. You will be sold a fabric that is “child proof” and is coated with a stain resistant coating- this is non existent and you will waste you money as the liquid is absorbed and does not drip off like it is supposed to. The hooks that connect the sofa have broken once but the team did come out and repair this. Overall the sofa looks ready for the bin. I have contacted the company continuously over 3 years asking for a refund with evidence and images of the state of this sofa and yet they fob me off with excuses and send me on my merry way… in comparison- IKEA have 10 years warranty; you could take your sofa back after 9 years and get a whole new one!!!
Back story-
I went to look at this sofa in the concession department of Bentals and a flagship store near Hammersmith. In both of the stores the sofas looked great (they have better quality inserts in the store so just beware of that) and I looked online at the sofas. It took me four months to decide and commit- there weren’t many reviews around for this company at the time so I had nothing to compare too. The sofa took 7 months to arrive (which was fine- I wasn’t in a hurry to get it). It was delivered and unpacked well- it looked gorgeous for a few weeks and then I noticed the cushions started to sag. Within weeks it looked shabby and like I’d had it for a few years already!
I was back and forth with customer services for over a year regarding the sagging inserts and material- after 13 months they agreed to replace the inserts. They also sent out their own “quality control” person to check the sofa and even with all of the images and evidence he stated that the sofa only needed new inserts but overall it was fine. The lounge co stated it was a private company and is not linked to them, however if you saw the state of the sofa you would disagree with the outcome and would see it very much favours the Lounge Co.
3 months after the new inserts were replaced the same issue occurred; saggy cushions, rippled material and the corner piece had the start of what I can now only describe as a pit in the cushion.
I contacted the customer care team again with the same issue as before and they told me they would not replace the cushions. However, legally- because they had tried to rectify the issues and the problems still existed I should have been given a refund based on my consumer rights.
I have been back and forth with the company for three years and now I am having to take them to a small claims court. I have had an independent company assess my sofa and they have confirmed it is not fit for purpose, the sofa has no protective coating and the material and inserts have lost shape and support.
So if you’re looking for a £4000 sofa with no support, no fabric protection, constant plumping (every time you sit on it), turning every cushions daily and sitting in pits then this is the sofa for you.

We had a really great experience with the staff at the Lounge Co in Islington. We visited twice to make some decisions about the sofas and on both occasions, Paulina was friendly, helpful and informative without being pushy at all. She replied promptly via email to any questions we had regarding measurements etc and on our second visit she even played with our 7 month old baby for a bit so that we could focus on making some decisions! We ended up buying a Lounge Co sofa via Furniture Village in the end but only because it couldn't be bought directly from Lounge Co. The sofas are all really lovely quality with lots of personalisation options and at a really reasonable price in comparison to similar sofa brands. Thanks again to the team for being so helpful.

Having previously worked for this company, I knew the quality and I had pretty much decided on the Lola sofa. My lovely friends in the Islington store helped me finalise my fabric choice, and I went for Trench Coat, cozy chenille. The sofa came on time, well packaged and the delivery guys were great. I’m so happy to have this beautiful sofa in my new home.

Almost everything about our experience was great. The couch is beautiful! Customer service was lovely, delivery were timely, competent, and helpful... the only complaint was the absolute ancient software running the point of sale transaction. We were unable to use a credit card from a different country, even after multiple tries. It was at the point of sale, not the credit card side that it was failing, and so an update to technology with better and more intuitive optioning would take this all the way.

Sales staff were very friendly and helpful. Took a while for the sofa to arrive (about 3 months) - we got the Imogen Corner End - and there was a bit of an issue with the delivery, but ultimately the sofa is amazing. It’s exactly what we wanted and we get a lot of people asking where it is from! Would recommend!

I wrote a review commending The Lounge Co. and mentioning that I had a problem with the filling chosen for the cushions, their customer service team reached out to me and have resolved my problem going above and beyond normal customer care.
I can’t recommend this company highly enough…..
SUPERB!

This is the 3rd sofa I have bought from lounge co , I love the style of the sofa and covers are all well made, my dislike is that the fillings for seat and back cushions are of poor cheap choice for an upmarket sofa , either rock hard or far too soft , so much so that I have had to purchase replacement feather and foam ones for all my sofas to give them that quality look and feel The lounge company really needs to up their game if competing with other sofa companies .

Visited the Islington store and told the friendly staff what we were looking for. They helped us choose the shape, size and colour without any pressure! We spent a long time in the store sitting on the sofa to make sure we were happy. Great shopping experience overall. When the sofa arrived it was exactly as we expected - comfortable and stylish! Would definitely recommend the Lounge Company.

I had a great experience at the Lounge Co. when I visited the Islington branch to look at sofa and armchair options.
I spoke with Glenn, one of their sales advisor, who was a pleasure to deal - he took the time to walk me through the options, offered genuinely helpful advice, and made the experience relaxed and enjoyable.
Thanks also to Paulina, who was a delight to speak to, and made the buying process incredibly easy.
Now looking forward to the delivery of my new Imogen sofa and Paloma snuggler!
