We had a Power Hour with The Living House before we decided how to develop the internal layout of our new extension and thank goodness we did. I was a little unsure how a remote service would work but it was faultless and it felt like they were here in our home. They transformed our extra space into practical usable home that flowed. They saw opportunities and options that we would never have seen. We are absolutely thrilled and we will definitely continue to use their services.

I had the Midi Living Room package about a year ago, and I honestly couldn't recommend The Living House more.

I bought my Grandma's house after she passed away, and the living room really needed updating. I'm someone who really struggles to visualise how a room could look, so I had no idea where to start. They created a floor plan that I absolutely loved and would never have come up with myself. It completely changed how I saw the space.

They chose the flooring, paint colours and every piece of furniture, and the overall design was exactly what I wanted. There was only one chair that wasn't quite to my taste, and when I mentioned it they updated the floor plan with an alternative straight away, with no fuss at all.

I actually meant to leave this review at the time and go on to have more rooms designed, but unfortunately personal circumstances got in the way. Now, a year later, I can honestly say I love the room just as much as I did when it was first designed. It has stood the test of time, and I still walk into the room and think that I never would have come up with a design like this on my own.

I can't recommend The Living House highly enough. Their expertise, creativity and willingness to listen made the whole experience a pleasure, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We moved into an old house with an unusual living room layout and weren't sure how to make the most of the space. Becky and Catherine were incredibly friendly, helpful, and full of great ideas. They sourced everything for the room—from the sofa and furniture to the cushions, lighting, and plants—creating a space that feels both beautiful and cohesive. They introduced colours and textures we never would have considered, and the result has completely transformed the room into something really special. We're absolutely delighted and wouldn't hesitate to use The Living House again.

I used the Living House to work out what to do with my front room. I was really stuck on the layout as every wall either had a door or window and we wanted seating for a TV room. The design they came up with was fantastic. I'm so pleased with how it turned out. Catherine and Becky were so lovely to deal with too. Highly recommend.

I’ve used The Living House twice now - once for the layout fix, and again for the colour fix for my living room. Both times I had the pleasure of working with Becky, who was incredibly helpful and put together a beautiful layout and colour scheme for our room. I would never have picked out the paint colour she chose had I been doing it on my own, but it’s a gorgeous shade and I can’t wait to see our room come to life.

If you’re like me and not so great at the interior design stuff, I really recommend checking their packages out. Becky was so helpful, always happy to answer my (endless) questions, and really put great care and effort into her work. As an added bonus, you also get a video of the designer talking you through their design and giving more helpful suggestions which really makes it feel personal.

We are so pleased we found The Living House. We had been neglecting our lounge space for over four years because we wanted an elegant, grown-up room but had no idea where to start.
The whole process was easy from beginning to end. The team were very approachable, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout. The design plans, including a very useful video, were detailed and it was brilliant being able to make alterations along the way to achieve the exact vision we were looking for. The plans were also very useful for our builders to work from.
We especially loved the click-to-buy shopping list, which made completing the room so simple and stress-free.
We’re absolutely delighted with the final result and have already briefed them on our next project! We’re really looking forward to working with them again and would highly recommend The Living House.

I was really happy with the service I received from The Living House. Everything was done in a very timely manner and the video and slides along with the shopping list you receive at the end are so helpful. I will now be able to complete the room at my own pace and love the design.

We’re currently planning our forever home and were so stuck on our open-plan layout. We honestly felt overwhelmed trying to figure out how to style it and make it work properly, so we decided to go for The Living House Open Plan Layout Fix - and we absolutely love it.

It was super informative, and I loved that we were given the exact measurements for furniture, because we can actually visualise how everything will look now and work out what pieces to buy that’ll fit perfectly.

Becky designed a beautiful layout for us and pointed out loads of brilliant elements in the video that we genuinely never would’ve thought of. It’s so helpful having someone who properly knows interiors and how to make a space work functionally and aesthetically for the long term.

I also really loved how she explained the flow - especially the high-traffic areas - and why it’s important to avoid furniture getting in the way. Overall, I genuinely couldn’t recommend this more. Such a fantastic service for getting specific help with the areas you’re stuck on!!

We really appreciated how much ground we were able to cover in the hour, and the dossier you’ve put together is beautifully presented and very useful for us to refer back to. It was particularly reassuring to arrive at a layout that feels both practical for everyday family life and aligned with the overall atmosphere we’re hoping to create in the house. The discussion around the different zones and the way they connect was especially valuable.

We have a big/good living room in our house that we hadn't touched since we moved in, almost 10 years ago, largely because we didn't know how to tackle it to make the best of the space. With the 10 year anniversary of moving in approaching, I reached out to The Living House to see if they could help. We arranged a call to learn a bit about each other & what we hoped to achieve, then Becky & Sophie emailed through details of the various packages they offered. We decided to go with the Single Function Room, filled in a questionnaire on ideas we had, likes & dislikes etc., then the ladies got to work. We had a few follow up video calls, some back and forward via email & then our design was delivered. The Living House thought of absolutely everything, from sofas, flooring, window coverings & paint down to decorative throws & ornaments that would complement the room. Anything we weren't 100% on, off they went to find an alternative, they genuinely wanted us to love everything they found for us.
The room is still a work in progress but the finished product is in sight & we can't wait to sit back & enjoy it - & that will be before the anniversary date!
Couldn't recommend these ladies enough, they're lovely to work with, have a wealth of knowledge & expertise, deliver within agreed timescales & genuinely want you to be happy with the final result. Will definitely use them again for future projects.

We went with the open-plan package and are so grateful we did. It’s saved us from making some costly mistakes we would definitely have made on our own. Especially when you compare it to our original ideas, it’s a completely different (and far better!) picture.

The Living House created a fantastic layout scheme for our new open plan kitchen/living area. As it is a totally blank canvas it was hard for me to envisage how the space should work for a busy family, but The Living House designed a brilliant layout and have given me full confidence in how the space should work and how to move forward. Plus some really helpful extra ideas and tips for designing it. Highly recommend.

We recently used the ‘Layout Fix’ to help us adapt our 3-bed flat for our growing family of four. Living in London with a small open-plan kitchen/ living area, we weren’t sure how to make the space work with a newborn and a nearly five-year-old.

We had some older pieces from when we rented, and 'essential' pieces we purchased when we moved in but it was time for a rethink given changes in our life.The 20-minute walkthrough was fantastic—it affirmed our existing ideas while showing us that the larger furniture pieces we wanted would actually fit perfectly.

My husband was initially skeptical after hearing negative things about online design services, but he was won over by the results. This service gave us the confidence and direction we needed to shop for furniture at our own pace and from our preferred vendors. If you have a smaller space or even if you're renting but want some help in maximising the space for your situation, it's worth it. Highly recommend.

Super helpful virtual service. I found The Living House on TikTok and decided to have them help with a very difficult room layout in the home we just bought. My husband and I had tried to imagine the best layout for the furniture, but were getting frustrated. Becky came back with a layout that hadn't occurred to us and gets us closest to achieving our wishlist even in a challenging room. The video explanation was very helpful since this was all done virtually!

From the very beginning these lovely ladies made me feel comfortable and calm! On video it was like discussing your plans with your friends and the follow up suggestions to find what look I was after was detailed and eye-opening. Exactly four weeks later the finished design was sent with shopping list and a video from Catherine explaining everything. I have followed all their suggestions and am very happy with the final result. I am using them for two more rooms and I can't recommend this company highly enough. Thank you so much ladies.

I loved working with the team. They really helped me. My favourite part of the service is the items list which was tailored for my style. It gives me the opportunity to buy items when I've got the money, making budgeting easy.

Some people may say it's an unnecessary expense having a designer, but in reality it saves you money because you buy the right items for the right space.

I recently worked with Becky at The Living House on the colour fix design option for our newly renovated conservatory/garden room, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

Becky gave fantastic advice that really brought the space together, and her attention to detail made all the difference. What really stood out was the continued support — she was on hand to answer any questions even after the main work was done, which I found incredibly helpful.

I am in the middle of a renovation/extension project and have used The Living House several times. This time I used the layout service to help give me confidence re the revised plans for the main bedroom. As usual excellent service, plenty of ideas and attention to detail especially in terms of placement of furniture and using pieces of furniture I already have. I have been able to buy items secondhand items, upcycle items and know that they will fit in the space and match my colour scheme. Using The Living House reduces stress!

Catherine and Becky were absolutely phenomenal to work with. We’ve tried several designers before we worked with them and the one thing that stands out is that they’re truly talented.

Their process is organized and thorough. They’ve helped transform our home into a space we love to be in everyday. We wish we found them sooner!! We highly recommend their service and will be coming back for more!
