I am based out of Australia and ordered a gift for my mum’s 60th who is in UK. The website claimed that they deliver the next business day so I placed the order on 30th thinking it will be with my mum on 31st well before her birthday on 5th August. When I did not get any shipping information for the next few days I got worried and rang the Jewel Hut team up and they mentioned they need additional verification because the card used for transaction was Australian. They waited until 4th for me to call them and verify myself and held the order until then instead of calling me and getting this verification done. The person I spoke to promised that the order will be delivered on 5th which was my mum’s birthday so I was pissed at them but still relieved that the gift was at least getting to her on her birthday. But they messed that up too, I ordered 2 gifts for her and one I was hoping for her to wear for her birthday party but when the order got delivered it was missing that one gift, so they only delivered half of the order. Worried sick, late at night in Australia I called them again to check what the hell went wrong to which they responded that the vendor forgot to write on the invoice that one of the gifts will be delivered next day. So all of us including my family in UK panicked thinking we were scammed and all because of the company’s poor communication throughout the process. The rest of the gift which was supposed to be a surprise for my mum got to her next day from her birthday essentially ruining my surprise. This is quite pathetic customer service and they need to improve their process and especially for the people ordering from overseas for their loved ones.

I placed an order which was confirmed and paid for. Told it was dispatched.
Next day I received a email to tell me that 2 out of 3 items were out of stock/ sold out.
How can a order be confirmed and then cancelled?

when the item arrived the box it was in was not sealed very well it had a big gap at the bottom where the sellotape ran across it was just luck that I have wooden flooring as I heard something hit the floor it was the tiny charm when I opened the outer packaging fully the box the charm was in was fully open and the charm had obviously been lying loose inside the big outer box very lucky it never got lost more care needed when packaging such a small item a box that size was not necessary in the first place
