Great-looking kites, but impossible to reach — I gave up on a €4,000 order
I was ready to buy a complete setup for my partner and me: three YES kites, two NJOY boards and two MISSION bars. Around €4,000. I'd read the independent reviews of the YES, I liked what I saw, and the FINAL50 discount made it an easy decision.
Then I tried to actually buy it.
• The GRIP pads sold out while my order was in the cart. The NJOY board doesn't include pads, so without them the board can't be used at all.
• Valves, lines and pigtails were already out of stock — the basic spare parts you need for any kite.
• The website chat doesn't work. It returns a message saying the subscription has been suspended or the message limit has been reached.
• The product page says certain sizes ship at the end of September, while the order button says delivery in 1–3 months.
• The discount changed from 50% to "pre-order now, save 30%".
So I tried to ask. I messaged on Instagram on 28 August — the request was never even accepted. I emailed. I commented on Facebook. Three weeks later, no reply on any channel.
I'm not writing this because the kites look bad — they don't. I'm writing it because I was a ready, willing customer with a large order, and I couldn't get a single answer about when spare parts would return, when the kites would actually ship, or whether the brand will still be around to support the gear.
Kitesurfing equipment is safety equipment. You need to be able to reach the people who made it. I'd genuinely reconsider if they sort out communication and spare parts but for now I have to say that I'm disappointed.
