My experience acting as an expert was overall very positive. The 'vetting' process was well-informed and enabled a good fit with the subject matter. The actual interaction was well and thoughtfully organized and on target. I felt I was able to contribute meaningfully.

The interview was conducted expertly

The interview was conducted expertly. Questions were very easy to answer, and my thoughts on the areas were given proper attention. Payment was timely, and even though I didn't have a Wise account, it was easy to set one up.

The Insights Desk - 5 Star Rating

I have been doing these types on independent consultations for approximately 15 years for topics in orthodontics related to technology such as Invisalign, SureSmile, CBCT, etc. My experience with the Insights Desk was outstanding as everything which I did with your team was incredibly efficient and well organized. There was great follow through for connecting to Insights, the introduction to the consultants, the one-hour consultation, and finally the follow up from the Insights Team. If presented with the opportunity to do this again, I would definitely do it again. In addition, there were no long background forms which I had to fill out which is why I stopped doing these types of consultations with Guidepoint, 3rd Bridges, andAlpha Insights.

Professional, Insightful, and Well-Structured Consultation Experience

I had a very positive experience working with The Insights Desk, whose research model leverages consultations with seasoned professionals in a focused and efficient way. I was engaged for a one-hour discussion that covered a range of relevant topics within a well-structured and purposeful conversation. The team was clearly prepared, asked thoughtful and relevant questions, and facilitated a productive exchange that felt more like a professional dialogue than a transactional interaction. Overall, it was a seamless experience with a satisfactory outcome, and I would gladly collaborate with them again.

Overall

Overall, a quick and transparent experience. The team was quick to schedule a meeting and the consultant asked thoughtful questions. Though I am not a fan of using Wise as a method of payment, it is an adequate option.

Good experience. All went well. Once I was confirmed for the study, all steps were explained thoroughly, including the compensation process. I received my honorarium exactly as expected. I would definitely do it again.

First-timer: Transparent process with a bit of payment issue.

This was my first time participating in a full online qualitative research as a subject matter expert. Prior to participating, I googled and searched in ChatGPT about The Insights Desk as found out that it is a legit organization. Then I decided to give my time and opinion.

In terms of process, I think The Insights Desk is very transparent. There was around 7 steps in my case: email intro - list of research question/topic - form completion - schedule arrangement - the indepth interview via google meet - payment information - payment completion. It was an enjoyable experience from step 1 to 6.

When it comes to payment, it was delayed for 7 days. It happens that WISE, the fund transfer application recommend, does not apply fund transfer to Indonesia; the country that I live at. I think some other countries have this service limitation as well. Hence, I proposed other mechanism of manual bank transfer. They had several blockers regarding to that. After 7 days, it was successful.

I also noticed The Insight Desk sent me 9 email responses just to maintain the trust with the payment issue. All about reassurance. I appreciate the team on this. I can imagine if the communication was lacking, trust would be damaged.

I truly think The Insight Deck deserves a 5 if the payment issue was not happening. Hence, I rate 4 out of 5 for future improvement and anticipation of involving participants from countries where payment transfer services are relatively more limited than some other countries.

I had a very good experience overall. The process was transparent, communication was clear, and everything was handled professionally from start to finish. I worked with them on a one off project…

I worked with them on a one off project and it was as expected. They informed me I'd be paid about a month later through an app I never heard of, but everything was legit and I got paid. Would certainly work with them again.

Difficult to work with.

Updated - they pay you weeks later through WISE and if you don't use the app or "verify" yourself, the payment is automatically declined and you need to go bat to try and get paid...

Not ideal, out of the numerous different agencies that try to get my experience for their clients, this was not the most ideal experience...

Once you leave negative feedback on TrustPilot, etc, expect to get hounded night and day by their offshore team.

According to our records, your compensation was successfully initiated via WISE on 13th January. WISE operates an automated policy under which payments are cancelled and reversed if they are not claimed or if the recipient’s account is not fully verified within seven days. As your account had not yet been verified during this period, the payment was automatically reversed by WISE on 23rd January. This reversal was system-generated and not initiated manually by our team.

Upon receiving notification from WISE regarding the cancelled payment, our team promptly assisted with account verification to prevent any further issues. The payment was then reprocessed, and we can confirm that the compensation was successfully received on 27th January.
