Pete from the House Inspector is polite and professional. His work is to an excellent standard and I had my report within a day. Couldn't believe he found even the most minute snags and our house builder is now actioning the list of items. Thank you very much Pete and I am so glad you did this for me as I wouldn't have picked up on most of those snags.

We asked Pete to do our snagging inspection a few weeks after moving in. He was very engaging from the off when asked about the merits of snagging at any stage. Clear and deliberate about what we can expect. He was able to fit us in on short notice (a bit of luck as he appears to be pretty busy - a good sign) demonstrating his flexibility. He came and went about his work in a diligent manner and was respectful of our space (a definite bonus). He has a good eye and picked up a number of things that our untrained eyes would not have spotted as a 'snag'. alongside this, the communication around and the speed of production of the snagging report cannot be faulted - I had it by the end of the same day that Pete attended. It is not hyperbole to say that his work has saved us hundreds or even thousands of pounds and untold hours in the future. We are very happy to recommend The House Inspector Ltd for the quality and value of the work. An additional benefit is that Pete is a keen runner and is seeking to raise funds for charity through his efforts. I'm in favour of engaging firms supporting the community and society in general.

We had a comprehensive snagging report on a new build we purchased 9 months ago. Pete carried out a thorough inspection and produced an extremely accurate report with over 160 issues (yes, I know, bit depressing for me as the homeowner to see them all together). He spotted so many issues in places I didn't even think of looking into, including a major issue with a garden retaining wall. He spent a lot of time in, out and around the house, as you can tell by the level of detail in the report. And Pete was genuinely lovely to deal with. Overall very recommended to anyone dealing with snagging issues in their new build.

I would highly, highly recommend The House Inspector. Pete stepped in when I was let down by another snagger. His communication was excellent, he was incredibly efficient and extremely thorough. Pete carried out an inspection on our house that we had built and it helped us get the builders to complete all of the jobs correctly. We had a long list to get completed and there were items on it that I would never have even thought of looking at. His attention to detail is exceptional, as well his excellent knowledge and friendly personality, all made working with him great. We wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to friends and family.

Pete was great. Communication before, during and after the inspection was really good. He turned up early and spent the day meticulously going through the outside and interior of our house, and was very helpful in answering questions and pointing out issues which we had missed. The report he provided promptly was exactly what we were expecting and we are more than pleased and happy to recommend.

We recently had a snagging report carried out by Pete, from The House Inspector. We were fairly new to this concept, since it was the first time we purchased a new build and we can honestly say this was a great service to invest in. While we picked up a number of issues ourselves, Pete picked up so many more, in places we wouldn't think to look or check. He did a very thorough job, spending a number of hours outside and inside. It does really take away the stress of going in and conducting all the checks yourself, when you are already busy running around anyway. So I used Pete when we brought our property 3.5 years ago and he did a snagging report which was amazing, it stopped me have to scrutinise my new home and let him put a detailed report together to our developer of things that needed fixing.

On Sunday I called him around again, after I realised that we had damp in our bedroom and my developer was claiming it was out of warranty and wouldn’t help us. Pete inspected my property, highlighted a few BIG issues and wrote me an email to send to them. SUCCESS = contractors around today investigating the issue after my warranty had expired. I’m not a building/construction expert but he is and he’s gone and saved me hundreds of pounds on repairs. Because he knows the terminology and what to say to be listened to.

Pete was professional and friendly at every step of the way from initial contact right through to receiving the full report. He has a calm and non intimidating presence - really put me at ease. Very thorough report that has given me huge peace of mind.

We had Pete come round to our new build house to carry out the snagging report and we are so glad we did. I work in the property/construction industry but Pete's knowledge is vast and he noticed lots of important things that we wouldn't have picked up on. We were recommended The House Inspector through a neighbour on the same estate as us as they'd had a positive experience and so did we.
Pete was great, very profressional, he turned up in the morning (despite the snow!) and quietly went about inspecting the property, he was very thorough and spent a lot of time in each room, over 100 snags were found and a large amount of them i would've missed myself. We got the snag report the next day which was essential for our 7-day snagging report with our developers.

We instructed The House Inspector after a recommendation from a friend, as we had not bought a new house before and we wanted an independent report to highlight any 'snags'. Prior to the instruction he was very helpful on the 'phone.

Pete responded quickly to our enquiry and arranged an appointment without fuss. On the visit he was extremely thorough, on time, also pleasant and courteous throughout.

The written report was produced and sent to us very promptly and included photographs of the areas needing the builder's attention. We have since met the builder and they have agreed to attend to almost all of the 'snags'.

Pete came round to my new build 1 bed flat and really pointed out some faults in my flat that I would never of spotted myself! He provided a fully detailed report after to show the exact areas of what he had found. He really did do a good job and provided a great service. Pete is reliable and I would recommend him to do a good job inspecting your house.

Excellent service from The House Inspector - Pete! Very easy to book, he was full of knowledge and really understands construction. He did us a snagging survey on our new build house - which I'd highly recommend.
